@ilikepieism No you can wire it with the disc drive. Just put the sd card slot somewhere else.

I feel like you could have used an Arduino to control the Larson Scanner and the wiikey. The arduino can simply control the LEDS and then you could've put a timer on the arduino that would flip the wiikey for you. But very cool mod nevertheless! :)

That's actually pretty cool I need to show this to my friend and he'll probably want a gamecube to do this mod.
