@ZombieGameAreMe It was because it was a blank firing pistol! Here in the UK the barrels are plugged so the gases and flash are released through the ejection port. Nothing we could do about it the flash appearing above the pistol.

love this. What did you use for recording narration and sounds? what type of camera are you using and did you use an actual stabilizer or was it all done in editing?

@moviesmyway Thank You. We actually had no proper voice recording equipment at the time so we just plugged our external microphone into the computer and recorder our voice overs straight to the PC. The quality does lack a bit from doing so though I think. The camera we used was a Sony HDR HC9E, it's a HD camcorder and it actually captures some very good film. We just used tripods, handheld and a DIY camera jib arm/crane for a few shots, it worked very well. No stabilizing in editing. :)

@ulfmusskacken Definitely bud, we're about to start filming our next film GlassJaw, next week in fact and we will be using a Canon 7D. You'll get some great footage out of it, just make sure you have stabilisation like a tripod or shoulder mount. DSLR's weren't originally designed for film use so the body shape isn't exactly the best for handheld filming. Give it a try though man, I'm sure it will do the job you are wanting it to :) Thank you for watching our film.

@ulfmusskacken Unfortunately we only have the one lens, which is the stock lens which came with the camera. It's the 28-135mm f/3.5 lens. Although it's basic we know we will be getting some great film with it :) I hope you have filming with yours.

@LanesClassicComedy95. We spent just over £700 on the film and £2000 on the camera and edtiting equipment :)

the reason for that is because its a blank firing gun with the ends plugged up, sorry but there is nothing we could do about it, plus we dont own the guns so we couldnt remove the blockage. still does the trick tho :)
