  • "That was essentially government speak for: "WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!". lulz, so sad and true.

  • Golobal warming pop quiz:

Given the total temperature record we now posess, after about 150 years of research by thousands of scientists, from 500 million years ago until today. Which of the following is true on any time scale from 20 years to 500 million years?

    CO2 rise gives

    a) temperature rise,

    b) temperature decline,

    c) no temperature change or

    d) any of the above

The correct answer, of cource is d). Tell Fred Singer or Bob Carter to be scared of the future in terms of global climate

  • How 'bout we each contact multipe policy-makers, US Senators for instance, and ask what their priorities are.

I'm a huge fan of Leon Panetta. A very smart man and a man that can go the distance.

  • The government has created the fear of global warming so they can make money from it. How can they make money from it you mite ask , well I'm in Australia and the Australian government is now enforcing that we pay a carbon tax that's just one example. Its all a part of a plan the government or who ever they are who control the world to eventually create a new world order with the one leader for all countries along with one world currency.

  • @trotta244 Now correct me if I'm wrong, if I wanted to make money off carbon, and keep making money off it then why would I invest 15 billion dollars into renewable energy which I can't make money out of. Just a thought

  • SCARY ??? The Fed obtained $8.4 trillion last year from the auction of Treasury securities---OFF OF THE BOOKS--without Congress and the public being aware of it !!!! The Ponzi scheme Fed does not even report the income as they confiscate the wealth of the people and inflict perpetual indebtedness and national bankruptcy. Search the mathematical inevitability at RIP OFF BY THE FEDERAL RESERVE or 3W scribd dot com, message 48194264

  • retorted asshole

  • @trapper0a who answered what?

  • smokers caugh!! too much weed!! :]

  • epic laugh :)

  • As you suggested I thought about 'a significant drop in the human carrying capacity of the Earth's environment' and what that meant. I decided they meant the earth is like a stadium that has a certain number of seats. So I figure the best way to beat GCC is to buy my official Earth ticket before they run out and make sure I arrive early in case they over book. First come first serve after all. :)

  • Don't hate the media, be the media

  • hahaha, you sound like a robot. sorry. not really. 30,000 actual scientists have questions of global warming. thats a lot even if it's not most

  • May the lord save us from the repeater robots such as yourself.

    Better still, lets save ourselves!

You are very well programmed arent you.

  • @ bluewater174

And why would that happen? There are many evidence and concepts that proves that carbon dioxide levels increasing causes higher temperatures - but what kind of prove do you have?

  • @HwarangOfFaith are you on drugs?

  • @HwarangOfFaith And you happen to know this.....how?

  • It's never too late if envisaging the RIGHT solutions.

Give an ear to the Orion Project (Dr. Steven Greer to President Obama).

    Worthy of seeing.

    Be well !

  • Rather than worry about the potentially horrible future, why not make a care package, get in your car and drive downtown to feed one homeless person. Then at least you have done something real. Or, you can Achingly coddle your ego by showing everyone how many words you have learned about disaster and or science. For the record, I agree with what has been said, but what good is it? Can anyone do anything about this...not even Al Gore has the power! (lighthearted)

  • @ThoughtWave64 Actually, giving food to a homeless person is quite pointless.....

It does not dramatically raise the homeless persons chance of long-term survival, while diminishing YOUR food supply.....

  • @ThoughtWave64 Also, speaking about climate change CAN help. The more people who know, the greater the chance we as people will try to improve the circumstance.

  • EPIC FAIL

Having suggested we "leave the interpretation of the evidence to the experts" (8:28), which we clearly can not do, the rest of his argument falls flat.

(8:39) We should definitely "stick to our supervisory duties", but it won't be by "taking what the scientist say". It will be by finding out what they aren't telling us.

  • So... who here thinks we should ban dihydro-monoxide. If you do, you know nothing. That's two thirds of the population. 2/3 want to ban this element and they are the ones who believe in global warming. Dihydromonoxide is freaking WATER! These are the idiots who believe in global warming. They aren't smart. They're ignorant!

  • Everyone should watch Fall of the Republic, The Obama Deception, and Endgame. Then you'll see how your government lies to you. I am a left wing Socialist and I support the films listed above, and of course global warming is false propaganda that distracts those who care about the world; it distracts the youth, the activists, the ones who fight for what they believe in. Where they could be helping with REAL issues, instead they are distracted and manipulated by the Capitalist oligarchies.

  • MY PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED! (well, sort of - I don't pray - I'm an atheist)

I salute you, fellow Socialist, bluewater174! And, while I disagree with you about global warming, that should NOT cause us to fight, because I DO agree with you that there ARE greater immediate concerns of justice.

GW is still serious, but it is a serious threat only to innocent animals. I will cheer if all (non-socialist) humans die by flooding, starvation, sunburns - the more painful the better.

    Obama=turd

  • @bluewater174 So carbon emissions don't raise temperature?

Last time I checked that was already proven.

  • Just watched Endgame the other day. That's some scary stuff!! Also, look up HAARP and related videos.

  • Why are poeple so negative...

Obama deception is not as important as our world. Yes it's important, but I would think our world and lives as a race are more important, but what do I know

  • global warming is the least of our problems

search "the obama deception" on youtube

we're controlled, media, our information sources, everything, we cant debate anything seriously without an honest leadership/government

global warming debating is a waste of time for now, theres bigger problems we need to solve

    Youtube -> "the obama deception"

  • Lol, the government is no problem compared to global warming. Did you not watch his videos? So, global warming does fuck you up, are you gonna be worrying about Obama, or your house being flooded?

  • look at his videos, he might be making himself look like a fool, but, with a comment like yours, you are likely to end up looking like an even bigger one...

  • I have watched his videos - they are all based on a fundamental error in his logic. He assumes that if we take action - we will stop climate change. He assumes that the actions we take will cure the problem.

How can we take action when we don't even understand the basic mechanics of the problem. He also assumes that we can act unilaterally and have an impact.

This is like throwing people into a volcano to keep it from erupting. Nobody can prove it doesn't work - so tribal leaders keep doing it

  • no, he does not, he puts up two extremes.

He does not claim to be all knowing, what he does expect is that 'all' governments should work out the details of the problem via one or more 'Manpollo' projects and from there choose apropriate actions.

The non-smiling smiey in the "action taken, GW happen" does infer that even if we take action, Earth won't suddenly turn into Gaia.

That is his goal, even if he might miss some viewers, to not give the answer, but to point in the direction he prefers.

  • The basic mechanics of the problem are that we're spewing carbon and enhancing the greenhouse effect.

We can act unilaterally. Every country except the US signed the Kyoto Protocol.

There's no guarantee the actions will "cure the problem." In fact, if developed countries reduce emissions by 80% we still have a 50% chance of crossing the 2 C "catastrophic threshold." If we continue business as usual, the likelihood hovers somewhere in the ballpark of 95-99%

    -Meinshausen et al

  • your worst case nightmare is someone else's favorite pastime and profit maximization strategy.

  • does it make sense to trust oil interests etc with cutting down fossil fuel use? does it make sense to trust the pharmaceutical industry with health care? etc etc

  • AM I DUMB?> OR WHAT

  • i want a cookie

  • Funny you should mention a cookie..............I need some syrup for my pancakes!!

  • Hey rid maybe you could put some "AUNT JEMIMA" syrup on those pancakes!!

  • I like your hat :P

  • Ok, if I've got pussy in one box, marajuana in another box, a cheeseburger in the third box, and my favorite DVD in the fourth box... what are the chances that all those boxes merge together to make the best night ever?!

  • i hope i can get ride of the pot for beer and ill make it happen

  • we are all dead. trust me its over

  • So you say huh?

  • yes scare tactics...to make us fall for carbon taxation. Global Warming is a hoax. More CO2 is emitted by our ocean's than we can ever create. It's the sun that's heating up. Every planet in our solar system is heating up. It's just a cycle...and a group of people want to make money off of it.

  • you really need to watch all his videos. you are right, the ocean emits a huge amount of carbon, according to wondering mind, about 90 gigatons.

Except they also absorb 92 gigatons a year. I do agree about carbon taxation. It just feels like another way for the goverment to get more money off us.

Another point wondering mind makes, which i agree with, is that lay people like you and i are in no position to make statements like "Global warming is a hoax".

  • also writing those papers have made me so sick of global warming so please everyone stop sending me crap!

  • stobsea you are a dumbass. he addresses everything that you have mentioned in his videos, so before shitting out your mouth you should listen to what he has to say. the problem is global destabilization, not just warming. true the ocean emits way more C02 than us but it also absorbs more than it emits. mostly every fact you have presented has been taken out of context

  • I agree completely.

    Nicely said

  • wafflebrain08! - how can something (an ocean) emits CO2 and the same time absorbs MORE than it produce? why would you add an ocean to your thoughts when you are saying it takes more than it gives out.. why would you confuse us more?

  • the ocean is a complex system haha im not saying the H20 is emitting C02. i had to write 4 papers in a week on global warming so sorry i was in debate mode :) just dont worry about the ocean part

  • if it is emitting more than it absorbs that means it is not in equilibrium, and it will continue absorbing more than it emits as long as it is not equilibrium. (ill spell it out) When it reaches equilibrium it will absorb and emit the same amount. Hint: maybe it is not in equilibrium because we are putting carbon into the atmosphere.

  • continued... There are several theories as to why the Earth is warming, not the least of which is due directly to solar activites. I'm not entirely sure what is causing, but I have seen more than enough evidence to suggest that we aren't causing this to happen. I feel that it's simply a natural cycle. You watch, we are heading for an ice age. All evidence points to that. Yes, I have posted a lot. If anyone feels they would like to pose a rebuttal, they are more than welcome to send me a mail.

  • What sort of degree do you have, are you qualified to make that statement? Are you more intelligent than most of the scientists in the world. Because that is what you expect us to believe. I would really like to meet the most intelligent person in the world.

  • [continuing from my last comment] less carbon-dioxide. Since we drive cars and burn fossil fuel for electricity, converting a lot of earth-friendly compounds to carbon-dioxide. Have you seen his other videos? Probably not since he has already answered your "What sort of degree do you have, are you qualified to make that statement?" question. You clearly, after I've read your comments, not understood his argument nor has the background knowledge to rebut him. dumb....

  • ...continued. Continuing along this line, how can we explain the cooling trend that we saw for a few decades into the middle of the 70's? We were constantly spewing out more and more carbon dioxide, yet temperatures were decreasing. What is the actual cause of global warming? That I'm not sure of. I'm not denying the existence of global warming, because it appears to be happening. I find it hard to believe that it's our fault.

  • ...continued. Human output of C02 is small relative to the rest of the planet. There are billions, if not trillions of other land-dwelling animals that all produce C02 themselves, albeit less per capita. There are also billions of lives living in the water doing the same. And then there are volcanoes. All of this dwarfs the human C02 output. So, even if C02 was actually linked to global warming, it would be pretty unrealistic to say that "it's all our fault".

  • do all those animals and plants eat oil or coal? cause if not then how you propose that they would increase atmospheric carbon? Do they just create it out of nowhere? if they did wouldn't they all just eventually just dissappear? Their bodies are made of carbon What you are saying is rediculous

  • Its carbon dioxide you dumb. Not just carbon. Secondly its spelled as ridiculous.... dumb. It will increase the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere as we're are converting oxygen and organic (carbon-base) molecules to carbon-dioxide. Carbon dioxide will take thousands of years to decay or break down to simpler substance and it reacts little to the elements that earth has in abundance thus there is not enough elements or molecules (if there's even any) for it to react so that there will

  • When you exhale only 4% is carbon dioxide, All this started when Bill Clintons

friend invented a crapy refrigerent called

R134, went to bill and said if you outlaw

R12 Bill I'll make you rich beyond your dreams, Bill said { boys that R12 is making a hole in our O-zone } and we gotta ban it , from this ol AL Gore relized that if you can be the authority of planet

salvation, you can obtain massive power and wealth he allready knew you must first indoctrinate the children FACTS

  • ...continued. It has been shown throughout history that ice ages have always been directly preceded by a time of relative warmth. How do you explain the warm period experienced during the Dark Ages? They were able to grow grapes in the North of Britain, which is certainly not possible today. Was there more C02 in the atmosphere then? It doesn't matter. It has been shown that there is no direct link to C02 output by man and global warming.

  • The fellow in Atlanta is not the only person to notice a colder than normal winter. Colder than normal temperatures have been seen all across North America and Europe this winter. I'm not sure about the rest of the world. Similarly, in my area (southern Ontario, Canada), last summer was much cooler than normal, and last winter again was colder than normal. Carbon dioxide is NOT a pollutant, it is essential to life. It's just a shame these scientists receive funding because of global warming.

  • At first I was interested in your videos... but your irritating, monotome voice made my head hurt. I almost didn't notice, but I threw up all over your videos. You were not pleased, and I couldn't stop laughing.

  • *silly* you might wanna get that cough check out. :-)

  • we have to take action, but i think we need more information, more research into what exactly we SHOULD be doing. sure, reduce our personal energy usage, thats a givin. but i dont think we should rush into any major project because of fear. look at ethonal, what if the next "solution" we rush into and spend millions on- we findout 10years later its making things worse, but now its too late. we need ideas, but we need to fully research thoes ideas befor we commit to them.

  • I agree to this. I'm a skeptic, but I can agree to the logic of preventative measures, namely limiting energy output, but I am not too enthusiastic to jump immediately at dramatically changing everything in the next 24 hours.

  • carbon dioxide has been shown to be linked to global temp, so when people argue against climate change as linked to humans and say carbon dioxide has no effect on temp, they discredit themselfs. research it yourselfs, icecores from the last iceage, and the carbon mesurements from them. also i believe i saw tree ring studys with the same links found. whats the worst result for getting off oil, reducing our energy usage, improving efficiency, it saves money in the long run, so why not?

  • its natural for humanists without any belief in God to be terrified of global climate change. indeed the "worst case scenario" will happen, and its already documented in the book of revelation. repenting and putting your trust in Jesus Christ will put you at ease with all of this stuff.

  • But surely we should still do our best to minimise loss off life? Should we take no action at all because God will sort it out? As an analogy, I'm sure you don't suggest that we should just let murderers murder and innocent people get hurt, because God will sort it all out in the end...

  • But we do let murderers murder. how do you stop a murder from happening? you can catch them, and put them in jail, and they may murder again whil in jail. plus if someone gets murdered, that how they were supposed to die.

  • If everything's preordained, what's the point of faith then? It's already "written" whether or not you'll be faithful and whether you'll go to heaven or hell.

You say that the world is supposed to end by global warming. Asumably then, the times that the world has been near ending but we got out of it— like the cuban missile crisis for example— we were supposed to stop the world from ending. How do you know we aren't "supposed" to stop it this time too?

  • its not preordained per se.. however God already knows what you will do before you do it. he knows the cause and effect. he didnt make you do it, but he knows what you will chose. on another note, i never said i thought the world would end by global warming. i see global warming as a ploy by big govt to tax people even more. i really dont believe it even exists the way its purported in the media.

  • sorry, I got confused by this: "indeed the "worst case scenario" will happen, and its already documented in the book of revelation." I thought you were talking about climate change, but looking back you didn't actually say it.

I strongly disagree with you on global warming being a "big ploy",the overwhelming majority of credible scientists have been arguing that greenhouse emissions are causing climate change for decades, while many governments have been denying it until the last few years.

  • I have to call you to task on your choice of phrasing. "the overwhelming majority of credible scientists" There are just as many credible scientists who are arguing against man made global warming, who have been shunned by the scientific community. People like Al Gore who simply say "the debate is over" do nothing but stifle independent thought. I cant remember the exact year, but Time magazine reported in the 70's of a coming global cooling that we were to go thru in the 90's. -didnt happen.

  • I still stick by what I said. "just as many credible scientists who are arguing against man made global warming." Sorry, but this issue is far from a 50-50 split amongst climatologists. If you have a credible source that claims that it is, I'd be very interested to have a look.

The debate in a scientific issue is NEVER over. But if you look at sources undistorted by the mainstream media or political bias of any kind, it's as close to a consensus as it can get without waiting to find out...

  • Also, the difference is that despite media exaggeration, Global Cooling never had significant scientific support. Climate Change caused by the greenhouse effect, however, is almost unanimously agreed upon amongst climatologists and major scientific bodies.

Have you watched many of these videos? Their really interesting and argue about climate change a lot better than I can.

  • unanimous??? you really think so? have you personally experienced global warming? i live in atlanta, and we just had one of the coldest winters on record. in fact its march 14 today and we barely broke 45 degrees. usually its in the 70's this time of year. did you know that last year on the day when the dlobal warming scietntists were scheduled to meet in the united states- in march- they had to cancel due to a snow storm???

  • It's pretty much as close to unanimous as it can get to get. Personal experience doesn't mean much when we're talking about a global problem like this.

Sorry, but the fact that it snowed on some random day is meaningless. You can't say "it's a cold day, so greenhouse gasses can't have contributed to climate change." I'm not sure about you, but I don't keep a proper temperature record.

I really recommend that you watch these videos. The maker answers everything you've said so far.

  • i agree.. and sind when did god say just sit down i will handel it ?..

    Peace

  • If only gas was still $5 a gallon, most people would be searching for new cleaner sources of energy, buying more fuel-efficient cars or using mass transit...Can you believe Bush sold the American public on wasting all our resources on an oil war? He should be hung in the same speed and fashion as Hussein.

  • lol this guy is amazing. Teach meeeeeeeeeeee. I'm not sure but I think he is a teacher and if he is whoever are his students are very lucky. LMAO hoover.

  • Get a job.

  • Subscribed. Thanks for what you're doing. There's still huge amounts of ignorance and misunderstanding amongst the masses when it comes to global (climate) change

  • More support for my republicans sorry, but that pentagon study was released when republicans had the majority of power in the government!

  • this is bullshit, global warming obviously increases the carrying capacity of the planet and the opposite does the less, look at the geological record and just plain logic.

  • i'm a scientist too...and never understood our global banking system. Once I did, it was much easier to understand how good people can overlook the obvious issues in lieu of a more fun problem to solve

  • its so ironic that the government (US) can do immense amounts of work into worst-case scenarios yet move at a tectonic pace toward change

  • LOL, all you noobs who think he's getting views by piggybacking off the 'scare tactics' show by copying the name:

SCARE TACTICS IS A REAL TERM. Don't be such an idiot, tv isn't everything.

Watch something relevant to reality for once, like this video.

  • almost seems like maybe "they" want global catastrophy.

  • turn it off turn it off!!!

  • GTFO

  • rahhhhh man bear pig hahhahhahahahhhahahah. man bear pig. rofl. but this man is probably right. so i will vote for the venus project. and keeping thinking bout circles when you think of global warming

  • Side note: You often use the phrases like "Go check it out for yourself."

While I love this sentiments, I have noticed a problem with it in media awareness. I'm going to go anecdotal here (yeah, bad me). My grandfather likes to fwd political emails to the rest of the family. But when told they might not be reliable, he says they include links to debunking sites, and so it must be true, even though he doesn't follow the link.

ie: "don't trust me" = Trust me!

What's your take on this problem?

  • find out where your sources fall in the credibility spectrum. i.e., if Joe Blow down the street says its going to rain next week you would probably tell him to kick rocks. on the other hand,if the AMS says a storm front is coming next week you would probably pay a lot more attention. whats being said is more or less irrelevant, what matters more is WHO is saying it.

  • Well, yes. For you or me the credibility scale formalizes something we already knew. What I was trying to get at is a problem on a society wide scale. A great deal of information comes with a "seal of approval" quote or endorsement, which is often false.

In the emails I mentioned, the originator is so confident that including the link is all he needs to do that he didn't even counterfeit the link. If you click it, the link goes straight to a disproof of the email's premise.

  • unfortunately what you're describing is either ignorance or just pure laziness to actually "click the link" and follow the source, gather its information and then apply it to the credibility spectrum.

Ted:"But why do they put a guarantee on the box?"

Tommy: "Because they know all they sold ya was a guaranteed piece of shit. That's all it is, isn't it? Hey, if you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it guaranteed, I will. I got spare time." - Tommy Boy

  • "all they sold ya was a guarantee"

Aye, the problem I understand quite well... it was solutions I was looking for.

  • there is no magic bullet. some people hear what they want to hear,or just dont care to check the sources of outrageous claims. you cant change that, all you can do is remind people to check the sources.

  • my brain is hurting now

  • I think you saw too many entertainment movies as a child and thats why you are as you are. Btw Explain why we wernt allowed to VOTE for starting the LHC stuff going on right now. Its incredible how selfconfident scientists are. :-S

  • you're an idiot! Public consent should NEVER interfere with science. "Explain why we wernt allowed to VOTE for starting the LHC stuff going on right now. Its incredible how selfconfident scientists are." Why should the public vote? Does everyone in the public also has extensive knowledge of atomic physics, just like the scientists do? NO! Science must only be delt with by scientists.

  • "Btw Explain why we wernt allowed to VOTE for starting the LHC stuff going on right now."

because if this were the case,we would still believe the world is flat and orbited by the sun,and that both were created in less than a week by an omnipotent, omnipresent, invisible sky person.

  • what tha fuck???you bitch global warming is happening its true are you blind asshold??what is happening to the people today the humans are the cause of the destruction of the world !!!if whe dont do anything whe are gona kill this world que carajos le pasa imbeciles somos los culpables de el calentamiento global esto es mierda somos nosotros lo que tenemos la culpa si no hacemos nada nos vamos a joder nosotros mismos solo los ignorates piensan que no tenemos nada que ver HABRAN LOS OJOS

  • These videos are great - thank you for taking the time and effort to make them. The wonderful thing is that the skills you impart are handy for assessing a wide range of issues, not simply climate change (though that is of course a particularly pressing issue).

  • So many dumb comments... This guy in the video has clearly looked at global warming from every angle and taken everything into consideration. He deserves only our acclaim, even if some of us disagree.

  • y and the government controls global climate and has ripped us all off of our natural perception.

actually they can see us when we re having sex and know how u like your coffee.

oh my god, i shouldnt have said that...

    bang!!!!!!!

the guy is dead, hi its me, george w. now.

    got ur ass

  • Global warming is a falsh religon created by the state to control its citizens.

  • Finally someone smart! Yes people Global warming is basically bull shit... And its not us causing it to happen!

  • If global warming isn't happening how can you explain me why the big icebergs in Antartida are melting down, while they didn't for millions of years. How can you explain me the formation of tropical storms like never seen before and more and more frequently.

HOW CAN YOU EXPLAIN ALL THIS?

  • tachnology can full the shit out you! dont believe everything you hear and see brother! listen to both side's of wat yout think is the truth! And the conspiracy! the government has the power and back up... to fool us citizen's... who said lie's never existed?? and everyones perfect? Look deep into this global warming shit!! and see what the truth is all about and why the lies cover it up to keep us in control? and believin we did it! Thats bull shit bro!

  • If we shouldn't believe everything we hear, why are YOU believing this stupid hoax conspiracy shit?! You didn't get those shitty ideas from any credible sources, so just shut the hell up, stop being a pathetic denialist, and start trying improve this crises we have going on here.

  • why dont you suck a nice big one????? believe what you want... thats your choice! you brain washed BUM!!

  • you're a fucking moron! If you think I'm brainwashed by listening to scientists, then what makes you think that those rock-solid republicans telling you that global warming is a hoax are not brainwashing YOU? You're the brainwashed one. YOu want to be a "free thinker", and all this does is makes you WRONG. The people that tell you global warming isn't real are the people that would lose money if we started fighting global warming.

  • SHUT YOUR MOUTH.

  • STFU!! we dont care!!!! lets watch the fuckin vid!!

  • hes needs to take a breath... and get on with the damn video. wtf

  • C, sorry

  • bith u talk 2 much, can we c d video?PLEASE!!

  • "ha ha ha ha mwa ha ha" "cough cough"

  • i know what hes saying and im 15É????!!? XD

  • holt shit to much.....

  • danm your big words

  • All this doubt mongering and talk of "concensus", makes me feel like I am in some kind of global Hegelian dialectic.

  • trying to use propaganda on intelligent people usually doesn't work, but you present well. Congratulations.

  • To all who replied to this: your sarcasm does not offend me. Your beliefs are between you and God. I DO believe in the POWER of prayer but I also said that I believe we need to take care of this world HE gave us!

P.S. I also believe God gave us intelligence and that is why we have doctors!

  • Man me prying for my father to beat cancer realy helped, oh wait no it didnt

  • Scare tactics...yeah. Listening to the "experts" yeah.First of all...the decision lies with the people. We should decide how to react and not the government. Last time we trusted their "information" we ended up in War...so now what? Global Revolution, Global Catastrophe, Global War,Global BS. The answer lies somewhere in between. Im not listening to the Conclusions if they are foolish no matter how systematic they look. The root of the problem is greed and balance not oil.

  • You need to not confuse "The Government" with the treasonous members of the Executive Branch. James Hansen is part of the government, but is a patriot fighting for his nation's, and the world's, life. The "conclusions" are not foolish. The Titanic sank. Pompeii was buried. The economy is currently on the brink of collapse. Oil is at $140+ a barrel. Wake up. You're making one of the very mistakes this man is warning you about.

  • I believe in Science but Science teachers can also be Christians. Will be praying for the world! God Bless,

  • WOWZERS!!! YOU ARE GOING TO PRAYING FOR US? I FEEL SOOOOO SAFE! Please don't prove that religion breeds apathy and irresponsibiliy

  • Theres no need to worry!! Global warming is just God giving us all a big hug!

  • HAHAHAHA!

  • Hmm ok so if the world is coming to a end, and terrible things are happening, floods, wars, etc.. You will just say "God will save us"?

Umm ya good look with that....

  • In Revelation 1:17-18 GOD said "Do not be afraid.I am the First and the Last".In Proverbs 16:4 "THE WORD" says The Lord works out everything for his own ends. Are there any Christians out there? Ever heard of Prayer? Yes, we can and should take action to keep from catastrophe. God gave us this world to take care of and we need to do a better job and the best thing besides taking care of it is to pray for it and all of his people to come together(Matthew 18:19)FEAR is the absence of FAITH.

  • You know that little girl who died because her parents decided to pray instead of taking her to the hospital?

    Yeah. Tell her that.

  • You might wanna study those what caused and what effect those climate phases had on the planet. If you do i think that you will find that's it's your argumant that's crap.

  • climate phases spanning thousands of years yes, but not decades....SO IGNORANT

  • When cooling happens, it happens very quickly...on the scale of decades.

You need to consider that Solar Cycle 24 has been slow getting started, and that we may be in for a Dalton or Maunder Minimum type event.

The very things proposed to slow Global Warming, or lessen pollution would kill millions if we are cooling.

  • its good to hear that you know more than the world's leading scientists. maybe if they took an earth science class they would be as smart as you.

  • you've got a good point amb but imagine a katrina one week, then next week, another katrina. maybe you don't live near hurricanes, major floods every day even.

  • its not the usa that has the problem, its the whole world. And when the world sees us very cozy over here who do you think theyll blame?

  • The point that I was trying to make is that rich nations adapt better to change. So, by that logic, the undeveloped world should be developing and industrializing at breakneck speed. Which would include burning fossil fuels.

  • true, the whole world is part of the problem...but dude, USA is the worst, theyre cars still pollute more than any other cars.. and they denied participation in the kyoto treaty...so WITHOUT A DOUBT usa is the worst country in terms of global warming

  • the sun is getting hotter and this is warming not only earth but other planets as well... this is a fact!!!!!

i repeat, the sun is getting hotter- fact!!!

  • the sun is warming the planet, not co2!!! also, as temps go up so does co2, not the other way around!!!! al gore is saying that co2 is increasing temps but it is the opposite..

watch "global warming hoax"... global warming is a hoax and the gov wants to put a co2 tax on people!!!!! why should we pay more taxes when the sun is warming the globe?

please do more research on how global warming is a hoax, dont let them put an extra tax on the people... its BS

  • Teachers Unions....WTF?

  • Bradford1966:

These are not "teacher's unions". These are "the science establishment".

The AAAS, for instance, publish the journal Science, which is pretty much the gold standard for research. The US National Academy of Sciences was established by Lincoln to answer any science questions asked of it by the president, and one in ten members has a Nobel prize (actual Nobels, not the political Peace prize the IPCC got). NOAA is involved in collecting and analyzing temperature data.

    Look them up.

  • You loose me as soon as you start to quote the IPCC, I'm sure you can understand why without my explanation.

  • Bradford1966:

It's either the IPCC or the many citations in the literature.

The IPCC conclusion is explicitly endorsed by the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the national science academies of the United States, China, Canada, India, Brazil, the United Kingdom, and more, not to mention other, smaller professional science organizations (for instance, NOAA).

Next to these organizations, whether or not you endorse the IPCC is irrelevant -- it's irrational to ignore it.

  • MassTransit999:

While I dislike how people have replied to you (they shouldn't have attacked you), my understanding of the science suggests that your conclusion is wrong. Support your claims with evidence, please.

However, setting that aside, neither of us needs to act on belief to decide what to do. That is the point of the entire video project. If you are so dead-set in your ways that you won't consider "what if I'm wrong?", then this isn't the place for you, and you're welcome to leave.

  • Thank you for your suggestion. I have left....somebody replies to me weeks after my first post here. I wish to be left alone. Goodbye Tell those freaks to get a life for me.

  • Why act tough??
