Josh is a graduate of Julliard....he was trained in singing and plays several instruments.. He was "discovered" when doing a sound test/rehearsal for Andrea Bocelli who was to sing a duet with Celine Dion that night at the 1999 Grammy Awards, Bocelli couldn't make the rehearsal. Groban was his stand-in and, Dion says, he did better than all right.
