There is another way to do this if you can't brag the chains. You just keep hitting his eye until he eventually falls down, THEN you go to town on his eye. x,DDDD. You do it 3 times. Your done. ^-^

Just keeps shooting his eye and he'll eventually fall over, then 'go to to town' with his eye and when he gets back up shoot him again and he'll fall over again and you know do it again.

i didnt know you had to pick the chain but i managed to kill it anyway (i came here because i knew my way wasnt THE way to kill it): If you shoot him in the eye then wait until he stops walking around like crazy and repeat this enough times, he'll eventually fall down. Then every time he gets up, you shoot him in the eye and he falls down instantly :P

Shoot the gem in his forhead with an arrow while he is stunned run behind him quickly equip the iron boots and then pull the chain while still behind him. To do this assign the iron boots to left, right, or down. It's the only way to use the arrows on the ceiling as well.

If you're trying to insinuate that Zelda is just repeating itself, you need to shut up and actually focus on the story. It's not a mask, it's more of a helmet, and it's for the story, I mean, you can't just criticize the game for the bosses dropping masks. It's only the first three, and without them, the story wouldn't make sense. After the third, the bosses drop mirror shards.

They should have atleast made the eye harder to shoot or you were required to shoot it more so it could at least add more of a challenge.. After he gets up all you do is just stand their aiming at his head until the jewl appears again, it's too ridiculously easy.

if you want the Hylian Shield go to Kakariko town or whatev its called and go into Malo's shop. he sells the shield for 200 rupees and another wooden one for 70 i think if you can't afford the hylian one

Go to castle town and head to the center. When there, immediatly turn left past a cafe and through 2 large doors then turn right and you'll see 2 Gorons (or morons as I like to call them). Go to the big one and talk to him. He'll offer you a Hylian shield for 210 rupees

The problem is you don't have access to Castle Town at this point in the game. Malo Mart is the only place you can get it from at this stage.
