  • Hey Arnold-Harold

  • to be true i bet alot of people came for this 1:58

  • RIP

  • I watched 1:58 like ten times:D haha

  • i just can't get off my mind handsome squidwar falling... beautiful piece

  • I love link surfing! I started with a video of "Stu Pickles making chocolate pudding," went through a string of dub-overs and funny Rugrats moments before finding Nigel Thornberry going "Blaargh" and remixes of him going "Blargh." From there I found a video highlighting a Woodstock reference in "Hey Arnold" and followed a string of "Hey Arnold" moments to the famous "big ugly clown-oh" moment... and from there to Pavarotti!

TL;DR: "Stu making chocolate pudding" introduced me to Pavarotti.

  • we expect our clown to smile and laugh and not throw bottles of alcohol at us from in the ring but the reality of it is trouble if not most of life is known to attack and sometimes cut our balls completly off at the slightest hint of what could be thought of as true happiness .......thats what i learn of when watching paggliacci

  • HAHAHAHA so true!!

  • Devils Never Cry....

    IM NOT A DEVIL!!!! D,x

  • Magnífico, esa interpretación me hace vibrar y sentir el dolor que trata de acentuar el autor.

  • 01:48 - 02:18 Everyone's favorite part

  • @Atomsmasher420 i think its the only part we've heard and wanted to know were it came from

  • I've been looking for this song forever. Rest In Peace Pavarotti...

  • Or whats that "movies movies" going one too. They show it alot as they show a bunch of movie clips.(im not sure if its opera) i also heard it on American Dad where he was master, yeah...

  • Whats that one song that always plays when somethings/someones falling or diving to catch something and the scenes always in slow motion. I seen it on movies & a commercial. Obviously i dont know specifically which ones tho or ida found it/gave netter clues

  • You go around humming/singing this all day and think you're kind of good. Then you come home, hear it and found out how impossible it would be to imitate or even come close to what he does...

  • Taco Bell.

  • There's three possible reasons you came here:

    1.) Big ugly clown-o

    2.) No more rice krispies

    3.) 1:58

  • @Setosku 4. Someone asked what the song was that plays while Crazy Joe Davola works out.

  • @Setosku Yep.

  • @Setosku

    4. And also Queen's It's a hard life.

  • @Setosku Number 2 for me. IRL though. I always watch Leoncavallo opera clips when I run out of cereal.

  • @Setosku Or being a dumb american who doesn't know the difference between opera and his own asshole and has no culture in his sad life.

  • @Setosku Harley Quinn brought me here

  • @Setosku

    4) Having heard the dramatic version of Mario del Monaco, can not believe that a lyric tenor can match it, perhaps overcome it...

  • Spongebob Squarepants has some good BGM. Bravo!

  • :'( !!

  • I cry! Godfather say that it is true!

  • is there a full length film of this opera, or is this video the only one from that performance?

i know there are films, but i can't find a luciano one

  • Perhaps the finest voice--yet the emotion doesn't seem quite as in-depth...

  • 2:55

Jake....you are now warrior of our tribe!

  • Why is there even a related artist list? Who can compare his feats?

*for those that lack a sense of humor: Luke Pav is my favorite opera singer

  • RIP Pavarotti :'(

He is a legend and his voice will never get forgotten!

  • @GreybirdX his voice and corelli's one

  • Joe Davola: So are you still afraid of clowns? >:)

    Kramer:..........yeah.

  • неплохо поет, но маловато эмоции

  • You know I got it from spongebob too and the taco bell commercial i have to admit though I like only the 1:59-2:20 part although the rest of it is very heart felt.

  • Wat goat?

  • coming from a goat this was sublimely arresting, had to find out who it was and get a copy to listen to again and again

  • 1:59 best part

  • FINALLY!!!! The dying goat song in Hoodwinked. My search is over.

  • rice krispieees, WE ARE OUT OF RICE KRISPIEEES!

  • @MissKimmy gtfo noob

  • i love how fast one can get from SpongeBob to the big P in seconds. i actually did it in reverse, however realizing how many did it the other way around is amusing, enchanting, and delightful!

  • I´m crying...

  • che voce possente!

  • AWESOME

  • Taco bell commercial brought me here:) lol

  • Comment removed

  • WOW !

  • I don't know why people say he can't act. I think he shows everything in his voice and his eyes. His eyes tell everything. The world mourns you Pavarotti.

  • @Ahuey88 Hee hee, you must have never seen "Yes Giorgio". Luciano was not a great actor by any means, but he was so darling and heartfelt, and his voice was so heaven sent, who cares if he wasn't such a great actor. Those of us who love him don't care, do we?. ;-)

  • @jillgivler Pish! You talk of my fave Canio. Acting; who are you to consider talent?!! The Great Man holds his heart in his hands and you turn your back?! Shame.

Not many have me biting my bottom lip as Luciano. Superb!

Once more, my friend - Pish!

  • @jillgivler .... Also, the 'Likes' 'Dislikes' bar says you are in a minority...No negatives, please.

  • One of the most beautiful arias ever written sung by one of the greatest singers ever. Fantastic!

  • 1:50 if you feel lazy

  • The most beautiful song ever written sung by the Master whom none other can touch. Pavarotti's legacy is a gift to us.

  • :'(

  • The Untouchable brought me hear... Awesome movie...

  • Hey Arnold brought me here and to Carmen when I was young.

Now older and more intelligent, I come here for the beautiful passion of this music.

    The ending gives me chills...

"Laugh Pagliaccio, as your love lies in pieces. Laugh at the pain, bitter as death in your heart..."

  • The epilogue music of No-Face from Twisted Metal Black brought me here. I feel weird. (._.)

  • 4 people don't have souls....

  • 2:00 is this wat ur looking for?

  • The Taco Bell commercial getting you here is like mariachis playing in a Chinese restaurant.

Most opera's are Italian, not Mexican. Anyway, glad you are here.

  • Can Pavarotti be more awesome?

  • he looks alot like robert downey jr.

  • Taco Bell commercial brought me here, but I actually do love this music.

  • Malone!

  • LUCIANO <3

  • what is this song about?

    help someone

  • @MitchyWEST I believe he has found out that his wife was cheating on him but he must still go out and perform. So even though his heart is broken, he must perform. "The show must go on" kinda thing. At the climax of the song he is saying "Laugh, clown at your broken heart" or something along those lines. :(

  • @MitchyWEST google

  • @MitchyWEST

the song is played at the conclusion of act one, when Canio (Pavarotti) discovers his wife's infidelity, but must nevertheless prepare for his performance as Pagliaccio the clown because "the show must go on"

  • @DeathDivide: He is crying because in the opera, his wife is cheating on him. Read the synopsis of "Il Pagliaccio" its an interesting storyline! :)

  • @speedwayprincess71 Thanks for the info... do you have any idea where i can get a hd or serious or good version of this song? i mean its good when pavarotti, but i want the one from taco bell commercial, it was all hd and everything and sounded good, the ones i find here arent the same pitch and the dude would cry and stuff i want a good version like taco bell one

  • Pavarotti was indeed brilliant. Listen to his Ave Maria if you haven't.

  • why was he crying

  • Good music brought me here

  • Fall handsome Squidward... fall....

  • I always think someone is getting shot dead in slow motion every time I here this song.

  • Simply amazing!

  • Riiiiidi pagliaccio! Sul tuo Amore infraaanto! <3 1:55

  • Thumbs up if you came here because of Hey Arnold

  • taco

  • nah i was brought here because i know what good music is and who has talent

  • my dad brought me here. couldnt remember the name of this play

  • Hey, Arnold! actually brought me here.

  • @TerpinSaxt same here, haha

  • This makes me want to stage a dramatic death scene.

  • @Atom1cKitten

Already done to great epicness. It won't let me post a link, even here on youtube, so just search for Nissan Sentra Waterfight.

  • Hoodwinked 2 brought me here.

  • Squidward, watch out for that falling shoe!

  • @TheGumby67

    WTF

i see this episode of spongebob now :D

  • @BEARARMZ Naw I like to listen to the whole thing... it builds up suspense :)

By the way it is so sad people found opera through a Tacobell commercial...

Better than never hearing Pavarotti at all I suppose.

  • OMG im gonna cry at 1:55

  • Best number of the world!!

  • That taco bell commercial brought me here.

  • Joe Davola brought me here.

  • @Reichwulf thumbs up or down aren't that big of a deal. Just enjoy the music

  • this is so cool i got the mp3

  • who wrote this beautiful piece?

  • Bravo Maestro! I met you in the garage of the Met in 1972 after a performance of Elisir D' Amore as you were walking to your car and you were so friendly, I was thrilled to meet you. Will always remember Pavarotti.

  • thumbs up if taco bell brought u here

  • RIDI PAGLIACCIO!

  • Such pain in his voice - this was *his* role - it pierces the soul. To watch him smearing on that clown make-up is almost unbearable. RIP Great Maestro - you were one of *the* greatest voices ever and I am happy to have been privileged to hear you sing at Covent Garden.

  • this man is one of the reasons i'm proud to be italian. Grazie Luciano!

  • thumbs up if you searched it because of triple steak stack Whoo Whoo!!

  • 4 people disliked this and I respect their opinion to decide if they liked the video or not.

  • Actuar!
  • That part at 1:55 gets me so damn hype!!!....I can't explain it

  • what i would give to be able to go back in time and see this in real life

  • 4 ppl didn't get it

  • I heard this in band class one day. Our band teacher likes to play music for us once in a while. He also told us that when this man did workshops on how to sing opera he would spend the full time teaching the people how to breathe properly. He had chairs set up behind the people because the breathing was so intense some of them would have to sit down or they'd pass out. Truly amazing.

  • I heard this song for the first time in the movei The Untouchables!

  • TRIPLE STEAK STACK!!!

  • I was in bootcamp in 2007 when I heard about his passing. That was a time in my life when I could move any stone or mountain in my path, yet the passing of this man was the one thing that was able to move me that day.

  • Tacobell commercial brought me here

  • @lilnycdiesel me as well!!!

  • @lilnycdiesel pfff... really? Ah, not too shocking. People watch ads for fucking tacos, and that's the only culture they encounter

  • @lilnycdiesel:

in 2004, Nissan used this piece for a Sentra commercial 'waterfight.' The piece they chose was done by Jussi Björling. So much better than Pavarotti's version, in my humble opinion. This is taking nothing away from Pavarotti's stage performance, I just think Björling's voice was better suited for this particular piece.

    Taco Bell...lol.

  • this was on grand theft auto liberty city stories i love this song

  • my god ..... i have no words .... quite simply breath taking ..... !!!... he has no equal .... now we know why the good lord took him home .... meastro may god grant me the good grace to hear u in heaven when my time comes .... x

  • Man what i would give to see an actual play like this!!

  • 1:58

  • gah!! i love this! makes me want to go to an Opera even more. <3

  • Ce lo avevamo solo noi, l'immenso Luciano Pavarotti.

  • how all remembers this being in camp lazlo when he dives and gets hit by an meatball

  • skip to 1:55 that why you came here

  • @BEARARMZ No, Thank you. I came here to watch the whole goddamn clip.

  • @BEARARMZ LOL You're right xD!

  • He was a talented actor as well as a singer. (People tend to forget how much *acting* is involved in opera too.) Of all the Canio/Pagliaccis I've seen, I think his makes me feel the most. hehe. I just wanna run up to him & hug him!

  • @Laalimir thank you very much!!

  • Just a little background too, to help, if not already known*

    Typing fail

  • @CygnusX1978, Ridi, Pagliaccio, sul tuo amore infranto - "Laugh, Pagliaccio (clown), at your broken love!"

Just a little background too to helo if bot already know; basically, he has found out his wife has been cheating on him, but at the same time he has to perform as Pagliaccio, the clown, in a few minutes, so he tells himself to laugh at this misfortune as he must not show signs of sadness when performing as the clown.

  • what are the words he is saying around 2:00?

  • "Big Ugly Clown-o, just a big ugly clown-ooo"

  • This gives me chills.

  • Brilliance!!!

  • this is certainly technically flawless singing, his voice does sound great here, but artistically (in my opinion) mediocre, almost ridiculous compared to Caruso

  • Maravilloso!

  • Si questa e Italia, e Pavarotti un tenore GRANDE!We will probabely not get any new Pavarotti in the nextcoming 100 years. To MisterNatale Viva Italia.

  • Questa è l'Italia !! La vera Italia!!! E da italiano sono fiero della nosra cultura!!Berlusconi è un pagliaccio mafioso non merita questo paese, merita la galera!

This is Italy!! The true Italy !!! I'm Italian and I say that Berlusconi is a mafious clown and he doesn't deserve this country, he deserves jail! I 'm proud to be Italian for our culture !!

  • man pavarotti

  • the best I've seen or heard vesti la giubba performed. really touched me
