Hello elitecssplayer,

This is the answer to your problem. To me it worked perfectly.

1. Go to Run and type regedit

2. Now navigate to this path – HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mic­rosoft\Internet Explorer\Desktop\SafeMode\Comp­onents

3. You would find a key named DeskHtmlVersion

4. Right click the key and select Modify

5. Under the label Base, select the radio button Decimal

6. Change Value data to 0

7. Click OK

find this entry - HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\

Microsoft\InternetExplorer\

Desktop\SafeMode\Components

Right click DeskHtmlVersiom, click modify, click the decimal bubble and change the decimal to zero!

Close regedit log off and log back on.

Set objReg = GetObject("winmgmts:\\" & strComputer & "\root\default:StdRegProv") strKeyPath = "Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Desktop\SafeMode\Comp­onents" strValue = "0" ValueName = "DeskHtmlVersion" objReg.SetDWORDValue HKEY_CURRENT_USER, strKeyPath, ValueName, strValue --- Doubleclick the file (nothing seem to happen) and log off/on again.

Guys I had the same problem.

I RESTORED my computer to a date before My desk top went to that inactive mode. It did the trick!

PLEASE DO NOT DOWN LOAD ANYTHING. THERE IS NO REASON, just restore. These guys are trying to act like they are helping, In reality they are putting stuff on your computers.

To remove everything *INCLUDING* your version of Windows, all you have to do Is, type in Youtube, How to format your hard drive and that should be it 99%

If that dont work, then press CTRL ALT and DELETE and

1)Click on the Applications button and then click on New Task

2)Then type in explorer.exe

3) If a message comes up, click yes, and it'll restore your desktop!

Instead of deleting your precious files:

1)Why not go to start, run, then type in msconfig:

2)Then in the window that pops up, click over to the tab that says services, then on the bottom, ,click the checkbox that says hide all microsoft services....

3)Then uncheck all the uncessecarry things, like itunes help desk, and anything that you deem suspicious,

4) Then click on the tab that says startup and do the same!

well im sorry punctuationgamer636 but your going to have to repair your computer.. or restore it like I did.. I restored it to the max.. i had to delelt everything off the harddrive..exept Windows XP.. So if you want to get rid of it.. like I say DELETE YOUR HARDDRIVE!.. or RUN A REPAIR!
