MADDEN 2012 EA STOP RECYCLING FEATURES AND TAKING OUT GAMEPLAY

I was disgusted after playing Madden 12 franchise mode today and have decided, after watching this, to trade in my ps3 and get me a ps2 and play Madden 2005 or NFL 2k5. This and other videos and the lack of effort EA put into Madden 11-12 have confirmed my decision to take a step back n appreciate what I had in my old gen console. PS2 Madden 05 had the deepest Franchise/Owner mode ever from my experience. Please correct me if I'm wrong because I didn't play any Madden games on old gen after 05.

Then, the true representation of the game would be on the highest difficult, and it would be less realistic on the lower difficulties. This would make sense, because to play a game that is hard, you need to pay attention to detail, meaning those that play on All-Madden notice the flaws in the game more than those that play on Rookie.

@WildFireX4 All you would have to do on defense, is user a LB and over play the side that they did that since you can see their icon that says what player they are controlling. Or, you could shift your DL and LBs to that side. There are tons of ways to stop what you claim is unstoppable.

Lets say you get a guy with 99 strength and 99 impact blocking or whatever. If he doesn't win that block with someone else 100% of the time people are going to say it's broken and needs to be fixed. Now, I completely agree with you when you say that they shouldn't take out features and tout them as new, but some things are probably better left out completely.

i have listened to his interview on madden 10 and he claimed that the chain gang and the medical staff coming onto the field were brand new features in madden 10. @EliteRussell327 graphics are not a problem in madden, its the extremely limited gameplay elements and featureless franchise and superstar mode that has become a huge problem. my guess is the only reason they didn't lose 50% sales is because the graphics look so good. if you buy 08 and 11, you'll see a huge difference in graphics (good) and huge --bad-- difference in everything else

VERY interesting game play footage. It's as if EA tries so hard to put out annual games in order to take advantage of customer's short term memory. I was actually a bit impressed with the older game play (that I forgot existed in Madden) upon viewing this video. EA thinks that there is some sort of "conspiracy" when it comes to people not liking the game. Each year, dating back to NFL2k (back on dreamcast) I gave each game its fair due. I usually would read the reviews, rent, and find out which game i would like better. Look at the games from then til now. Its ridiculous. You go back to Madden 2000, and madden 2011, and they have small to no strides. When you have the funding of such a big company, you should be able to destroy 2k when it comes to sim.

I understand the point that this video's creator and Gideon were trying to make with the consecutive hit tackles, but you don't notice that they are still animation based and they only involve 2 players. On several instances in this video (most notably on the hit near the sideline that causes a fumble) the two guys that hit from the side are the only one involved in the animation. The 3rd guy that was in front of the runner gets knocked out of the animation entirely.

@f3nik5 All Pro 2k8 also fell victim to this limitation, but they were a little bit better with hiding it. The odd man out would usually slow up or hop over the pile. Tiburon tried to address this with pro-Tak but it's still animation based. It would be tight if Visual concepts was able to tweak it a bit more to include more players for the sake of realism. Even have O linemen trying to push the pile.

madden 09 is the core for modern madden. The core is flawed and ea is merely putting new things on an old engine. They said they turned off the sprint button. All you have to do is change a value in their programming from 0 to 1. What takes time is to change the core algorhythms, which is responsible for everything.

i know i stress this a lot, but in madden 04 when you go to gameplay settings you can pick player mode so the cpu picks the play for you. It has been in madden 03 as well. That game had emmit smith in it. And this feature which they renamed to 'gameflow' has been one of their selling points.

I think you guys are severely over-estimating your impact on sales.

Madden will live or die on it's own merit. ( or lack thereof).

In my opinion, if they don't get the online mode perfect this time, with Madden 12, that alone could seal the deal and ruin this once great franchise. Not to mention, all the glitchiness, same old issues and lack of true realism.
