superman has proven to move earth away from the sun at one point. I doubt the hulk wieghs more then the earth. with prep superman takes it easy, and even without prep, whats stopping superman to outsmart the hulk and throw him into the sun? it would be a good struggle but i.m.o superman wins, he is dc's best hero and chance of survival.

That said, in disavowing his U.S. citizenship just last month Superman became, in my view, morally weaker while being physically weaker as compared to pre-Crisis. At one time I wouldn't have LIKED seeing Superman lose to ANYONE. Now, I hope Hulk KILLS him.

They both got tired out. Against Thing, Hulk couldn't hit him either. Thing was to smart for the Hulk. But the one punch Hulk did land, killed Thing. Thing according to Marvel, is the second strongest or on par with Thor. Hulk even beat the whole avengers at one point. Hulk is pretty much unstopable.

As far as fighting skills, Superman spent 1000 years in Valhalla with Wonder Woman fighting magical beasts in that realm. He also knows Torquasm-Rao, a Kryptonian forma of martial arts. He has also trained with The son of Mongul where he learned a uniqe fighting style that takes advantages of all of his abilities simultaneously. A weakness of the Hulk is that he can be knocked out by gas and tires.

@spidermangreatestfan - In "World War Hulk" he only shifted the continental plates that were splitting. that's nothing compared to the entire mass of a planet. Furthermore, the only thing that he did split was an asteroid supposedly "twice the size of earth". The thing about that is that anything that large wouldn't be called an asteroid. I would have to conclude that claim was an exaggeration of the truth since in the panel that showed the asteroid in question was not that large..

@roshu2100 - Actually, Superman was able to tire out the Hulk (in their first meeting - Hulk even admitted to that) and cold-cocked him into submission in their second engagement. The Hulk is not unstoppable. If you have read his stories (and I assume you have) you should know that he tires, gets hungry, and can be knocked out via various methods (i.e. gas, brute force, and lack of oxygen). You don't necessarily have to calm him down to get him to revert back to Bruce Banner.
@dnno1 Namor has punched Hulk so hard that Hulk was out cold and reverted back to Banner. Imagine what happens when someone with Superman's strength and speed goes apeshit on the green goliath? Hulk's only chance is the fact Supes holds back a lot.

@ocblack21 - The only thing that's a lie is what you just posted. I have read a number of Hulk tales where he was caught eating food (he gets hungry) and he has said in the comics numerous times that he was tired (usually just before he reverts back to Bruce Banner).

@cblackist - Not all the time and I did do my homework. Just as there were a couple of times where he has been able to breathe without air (a lot of time by just holding his breath) he has just as many or more times where he has been hungry or knocked out by gas (these are plot devices and are necessary for storytelling). Superman does not have those particular problems and yes, he is tougher than hell. Superman hasn't lost in any of their match-ups, and there is no reason he would lose again.

Marvel measures their heroes strength in terms of 100s of tons. hulks resting state is 70 tons. Superman can lift trillions (not billion). Hulk could never get mad enough, fast enough. Supes is second fastest after flash, hulk is slow. Supes could pummel hulk 1000 times before hulk even knows he's been hit. Done deal.

Hulk doesn't heal that fast for one. and Superman is many million leagues superior to Hulks base 75 ton strength range which gradually pushes to 100 tons+. Superman at a relaxed mode goes at 850tons. Hulk's not got enough amp to catch up to Superman in time. and Dispite Claims Superman's got the ability to increase his strength as well. Look at the sun above get it?

The green Hulk's base strengh is 100 tons...but increases exponentially when enraged (it has never been calculated how much he can lift). Superman would beat the Hulk with his various powers.

The Hulk is the living embodiment of Rage, Rage has no limits so the Hulks potential strength is unlimited. The only way to beat hulk is to not get him too angry, Sorry to say but Superman has an attitude that could piss off Mr Rogers.
Doomsdays the only one who truly could cut superman, cause him pain, or make him bleed. Writers to make a story interesting will often suspend the truth to hook readers into buying a mag or comic. Superman and supergirl are invulnerable to pain, being cut, etc unless doomsday or kryptonite is involved.
Doomsday is the one to give Superman trouble because on krypton doomsday is a bonifide monster capable of killing all kryptonians and his power outside of krypton is exponentially and proportionately superior to the man of steel. That's the only one who truly could cut superman, cause him pain, or make him bleed.
Stan Lee of marvel comics stated that superman of rival dc comics would beat the hulk. Additionally he stated that Thor was stronger than the hulk! Supes could strand the hulk on the moon.
Um... I remember Superman knocking out the Hulk with one punch. What did the OP mean by neither one knocked the other out? Secondly, in their first encounter, Superman tired out the Hulk and made him revert back to Banner. Finally, even though the hulk landed more punches on Superman, then majority of them did not hurt him (i.e. were ineffective). Superman has never lost to the Hulk and there is no reason why he would lose again in another encounter.
Superman does have superior fighting skills and has held his own and even defeated those in Hulk's strength class eg Doomsday Darkseid. within the context of a comic book storyline Superman wud probly come out the winner bcos hes more heroic than Hulk usually but it depends upon the story

Well the longer the hulk fight the stronger he gets. And hes a close combat person. If it was a cage match the hulk would win for sure. But im pretty sure the hulk is stronger and faster then doomsday and doomsday pretty much killed superman. Plus the hulk has no weakness while superman has a 2. Humans and a green rock. Loved it! Your calculations are on the number...also worth mentioning was how when fighting Vector of the U-Foes, Hulk had his body tissue stripped down to the bones & connective tissue and yet KEPT COMING.
That said, in disavowing his U.S. citizenship just last month Superman became, in my view, morally weaker while being physically weaker as compared to pre-Crisis. At one time I wouldn't have LIKED seeing Superman lose to ANYONE. Now, I hope Hulk KILLS him.

Thing according to Marvel, is the second strongest or on par with Thor. Hulk even beat the whole avengers at one point. Hulk is pretty much unstopable.

As far as fighting skills, Superman spent 1000 years in Valhalla with Wonder Woman fighting magical beasts in that realm. He also knows Torquasm-Rao, a Kryptonian forma of martial arts. He has also trained with The son of Mongul where he learned a uniqe fighting style that takes advantages of all of his abilities simultaneously. A weakness of the Hulk is that he can be knocked out by gas and tires.

Furthermore, the only thing that he did split was an asteroid supposedly "twice the size of earth". The thing about that is that anything that large wouldn't be called an asteroid. @roshu2100 - Actually, Superman was able to tire out the Hulk (in their first meeting - Hulk even admitted to that) and cold-cocked him into submission in their second engagement. The Hulk is not unstoppable. If you have read his stories (and I assume you have) you should know that he tires, gets hungry, and can be knocked out via various methods (i.e. gas, brute force, and lack of oxygen). You don't necessarily have to calm him down to get him to revert back to Bruce Banner.

Just as there were a couple of times where he has been able to breathe without air (a lot of time by just holding his breath) he has just as many or more times where he has been hungry or knocked out by gas (these are plot devices and are necessary for storytelling). Superman does not have those particular problems and yes, he is tougher than hell. Superman hasn't lost in any of their match-ups, and there is no reason he would lose again.

Bizarre fanboy opinions. Superman is invulnerable to almost anything. The hulk is vulnerable to many things. Superman can fly, Hulk can jump SEVERAL miles, NOT "thousands". Marvel measures their heroes strength in terms of 100s of tons. hulks resting state is 70 tons. Superman can lift trillions (not billion). Hulk could never get mad enough, fast enough. Supes is second fastest after flash, hulk is slow. Supes could pummel hulk 1000 times before hulk even knows he's been hit. Done deal.

The Hulk's strength is not set to ANY limit because of yhe fact that he grows stronger making it IMPOSSIBLE to determine how much he can lift!!!! Hulk has a healing factor while Superman doesn't. Hulk has the reflexes of the Sentry, (do your own research on him) making the "speed" issue a non factor. Doomday is DC Comic's closest version of the Hulk and Superman DIED fighting him!!!! Superman doesn't win as easily as you think.

ok first of all superman doesnt loose his powers by going to other galaxeis, only if they have a red sun, and what does strong gravity and kryptonians even mean? how are those weaknesses. seocnd, the hulk doesnt have that much of a healing factor, and it certaintly is nowhere near as good as wolverines or deadpools. and superman does have a healing factor, and it is boosted in sunlight. btw superman would win because he has invulnerability on his side. (besides kryptonite, magic, red sun)

@cblackist not a fanboy, just looking at the big picture. of course precrisis superman exists, and yes his powers have been revised over the years, in that they have been increased. the current superman can breath in space. and ok so the hulk can walk on the sun, if thats even true, so what? the fact is supermans strength is more or less equal to the hulks, if not then just a little bit stronger or weaker, and hes got so many other abitlites, such as speed, flight and invulnerabitlity.

Supes powers have been lowered not increased over the years!!! You listed Superman weaknesses (magic, red sun, kryptonite) but correct me if I'm wrong. Doomsday had no kryptonite or imbued by magic. @cblackist No it is stated that precrisis Superman is the most powerful version of supes! No they have been increased, when superman was first created he couldnt fly and he didnt have heat vision and other powers, so obvi his powers have only gone up since then. yes from time to time they tried to make him weaker. yes he died in the fight with doomsday, but doomsday died too ! they both die therefore they are evenly matched, but doomsday cant be killed same way twice so eventually he will win.

@cblackist ok you should read the comic, the they both died in their first battle, its common sense. if doomsday hadnt died, what would have stopped him from destroying the rest of the world? he is a monster who lives to destroy all forms of life because thats how he was programmed back on krypton. of course he came back to life, but not until after superman had sent his body away from earth on a rocket. but yes, even supermans father tells hium that doomsday is virtually unstoppable.

Hulk doesn't heal that fast for one. and Superman is many million leagues superior to Hulks base 75 ton strength range which gradually pushes to 100 tons+. Superman at a relaxed mode goes at 850tons. Hulk's not got enough amp to catch up to Superman in time. and Dispite Claims Superman's got the ability to increase his strength as well. Look at the sun above get it?

The Hulk once regenerated his body from his skeletal frame..the gray hulk's base strengh was about 75 tons (on par with the thing). The green Hulk's base strengh is 100 tons...but increases exponentially when enraged (it has never been calculated how much he can lift). Superman would beat the Hulk with his various powers.

It has been stated that 2 Superman equal the power of this Silver age Superman, so if the first fight ended in a draw how can Superman possibly win when DC Comics has nerf his powers down?!? Knock the Hulk unconcious on more than 1 ocasion in each of those books. and a Knock in all other standards don't infact mean a defeat. Doomsdays the only one who truly could cut superman, cause him pain, or make him bleed. Writers to make a story interesting will often suspend the truth to hook readers into buying a mag or comic. Superman and supergirl are invulnerable to pain, being cut, etc unless doomsday or kryptonite is involved.

Doomsday is the one to give Superman trouble because on krypton doomsday is a bonifide monster capable of killing all kryptonians and his power outside of krypton is exponentially and proportionately superior to the man of steel. Um... I remember Superman knocking out the Hulk with one punch. What did the OP mean by neither one knocked the other out? Secondly, in their first encounter, Superman tired out the Hulk and made him revert back to Banner. Finally, even though the hulk landed more punches on Superman, then majority of them did not hurt him (i.e. were ineffective). Superman has never lost to the Hulk and there is no reason why he would lose again in another encounter.

Sups utterly outclasses Hulk in terms of speed and flighjt obviously. perhaps he cud win if he flew Hulk into the sun. even if Hulk survives and can fight he wud b constantly regenerating while Superman's powers wud b supercharged. Now, if you want to talk strength wise, Thor hand's down would win. Green Lantern is nothing compared to Thor. Thor has been seen to lift up to 300 trillion tons! Well the longer the hulk fight the stronger he gets. And hes a close combat person. If it was a cage match the hulk would win for sure. But im pretty sure the hulk is stronger and faster then doomsday and doomsday pretty much killed superman. Plus the hulk has no weakness while superman has a 2. Humans and a green rock. Err but then again super man can just quickly kill the hulk in human form in one punch.
