I like how in Ogre Battle there IS an Ogre, there IS a black queen, she DOES march, unlike some games which are ENDLESS fantasies... :)

BTW I also like Final Fantasy, the name just doesn't match (and yes I know why that is it's name!) :)

@dragonstormx It's because gale is technically not magic. It registers as a physical attack. Makes sense if you think of how the gryphon uses it.

I remember back in the days of Funcoland they would make lists of game prices and trade in values and everything would be like $9 $15 $25 or something and Ogre Battle was $99.99! Thus I thought it had to be the greatest game of all time.I played the N64 version and liked it ok but this is the first i seen of SNES . Looks cool if I ever see it for less than 100 bucks I might pick it up.

If you have a wii you can get it for 800 shop points. The equivalent of 4 bucks.

World card does wonders against Rashdi. Is this being played on a SNES?I wondered because it says "Jihad" for the angel's triple holy blast attack thingy. On the Wii they changed it too "Laser". Guess they didn't want an angry muslim blowing himself up in protest. Gah, the times we live in.

It was a bit overkill, but remember, Rashidi is deadly if you let him live too long. You can see how much damage he dishes out without a World Card to protect you. I'd rather take him out as quickly as possible.

ya its for sure understandable to stack your unit for the battle vs him. Princesses were so unbelievably godly. I remember 1 Ogre Battle account we made, we got lucky enough to find 3 Crowns by level 3, no joke.
