It's all relative. Even if songs use different chords, they're still have the same chord progression.

If you don't understand music theory it's difficult to explain. But E, B, C#m, and A is the same chord progression as G, D, Em, and C and the same as D, A, Bm, and G and again, C, G, Am, and F.

They're just shorter or longer oscillations.

I've also noticed a "four-chord pattern" in many songs, not only I, V, vi, IV, but also other (such as I, vi, IV, V). Their cover and work to put it together is awesome, but the thing that annoys me is that not all of these songs have the 4 chord-pattern during the whole song, which many people may believe. Many of the songs they featured in their cover have these four chord in one part of their whole song, and the rest of their song have a "unique" chord pattern. People may misunderstand this.
