That plug is the channel conversion module.

I plug the plug with the heat shrink on it where I thought it would go and there was no change. Is there something else I need to do. I am assuming it goes on the board behind the channel knob.

I just got a Connex 3400 HP. It came with a plug that fits the Frequ counter plug and has wires coming for it into a srink tape. Does anyone know what this plug is for.

just received my new 3400hp Radio ...and CB tricks removed the channel modification from there web site do you have the mod. I recall it was real simple if you or anyone reading this has it, i would like to modify my Radio! can anyone help a fellow radio operator out??

@motownradioman Cb tricks never had the mod on there site. The chip is in the box,with the mic. If you can't do it ,call me.leave amsg, I will call back. Thnx
