  • MUPPETS CHARATER

  • really cool man love all of it :)

  • @ToeJamProduktions Thanks!

  • @paulgordonca uuuummmm ok i was talking to tbonepearson but ok...

  • This is a really awesome project. Very sweetums-esque, though I think Sweetums's jaw was done with elastic and gravity rather than hand-manipulation.

  • @Swenglish thanks, I think you're right about the elastic gravity thing for some shots with sweetums when they need both arms moving, but when he's talking I think there's an arm in there, I'll have to rig some sort of elastics in the head shortly, I also have to rebuild his hands, they aren't working as good as I'd like them :)

  • @tbonepearson Weird thought just hit me, which I'm not sure if it's been done but it probably has: Toe-operated jaw. Bit of rope tied around the foot pulling the jaw down, bit of elastic pulling it back up. Might work for non-walking shots.

  • @Swenglish Clever! Might give it a shot :)

  • @tbonepearson Love the whole bicycle break thing by the way. Was that hard to get working?

  • @Swenglish It was pretty tricky, it keeps breaking down, I think I have to use more wood inside to make it more stable.

  • @tbonepearson That happens coincidentally to also be what she said.

  • @Swenglish lol

  • @Swenglish Gravity? He's a puppet. Puppets mouths are moved by a performer's HAND. This moron in the video is correct about how the puppet will work, but he has no idea what the hell he's doing.

  • @MrHarrythehipster There's more than one way to move a jaw. It's fully possible to have it suspended by elastic bands (or metal springs) and moving via bobbing of the head. Not the traditional way of doing it, but with a large puppet head to be worn as part of a costume it makes sense, as it leaves the hands free to do other stuff. It's also possible to have it on a string controlled by a foot or by a second performer. Yet another way is animatronics, but that's a lot more complicated.

  • @Swenglish Yes, you're correct. Sorry, I should have been more specific in my last comment. What I was getting at was: Sweetums IS manipulated using the performer's hand. Watch some clips from The Muppet Show and the Muppet movies, you'll see that when his mouth is moving, his right arm is either pinned to his waste, or just hanging freely at his side. Watch Muppet Voice Comparisons: Sweetums. It will give you a wide range of examples.

  • @MarchHareGuy88 lol, I actually didn't like TDK either :)

  • Overall, it's totally awesome! But, after watching all the puppet videos, I can't help but worry about the actor inside. Safety first. Great job! Love seeing all the making of, videos you are putting out. And, it does get people, more excited to see season 2!

  • @wolfbracker Thanks man, lol, I should put a notice before the show saying " No puppeteer was hurt during filming of this production", joking aside the puppets are quite safe to operate the only thing that gets me is my forearm and wrist but that's just because I don't practice enough.

  • @tbonepearson With all the shoutouts you've given me and my channel. I'm not gonna touch that one. Especially the last part of the paragraph. LOL. But, if that statement don't get people talking, I don't know what will.

  • @wolfbracker lol, I know where you wanted to go with that, nice restraint!

  • @tbonepearson LOL. Yeah. Thanks.

  • @wolfbracker But, all in fun, T-bone. LOL.

  • You might need a counter balance weight because, he's heavier in the front than in the back. I think the actor would have to hold the head up with the hand that goes in the mouth. Again, if he's a bad guy, then not seeing much of his eyes is a good thing. But, if he's a good guy, then his eyebrows need to be smaller, so more of his eyes can be seen. In anime, they make the villian's eyes really small. And, the hero's eyes big. Cause, the eyes are the window into the soul.

  • @wolfbracker Great points, thanks!

  • I'm still trying to figure out, if Wooty is a good guy or a bad guy. I know, I'll find out in season two. LOL. The color of the ears and nose is just right. I think the bottom lip should be brighter color. So as to draw attention to his mouth when he talks. Thank goodness, you changed the color of the red horns! Much needed improvement! The red horns did make him look evil or like a devil. It's kinda of hard to give feedback, cause, I don't know, it he's a friend or a bad guy.

  • @wolfbracker lol, spoiler, he's a good guy, thanks for all the feedback I love it, it's really helpful!

  • @tbonepearson I'm glad, because sometimes I do feel bad leaving feedback. Because, I know everyone is trying their best and I'm sure a lot of hard work goes into not only making the puppets but also making the spellfury series. See, I was thinking that it was your intentions to make Wooty look evil, but be a really sweet and friendly monster. So, as to subvert or take the audience by surprise. So, in a way, this really adds more to the story already. And, part 1 of season 2, isn't out yet.

  • @wolfbracker I love honest opinions and constructive criticism, I like your idea but Wooty has to be good coming out of the gates for the story, I'm pretty happy with him as is though, I might do a few more changes :)

  • @tbonepearson He's awesome! Keep up the great work!

  • OMG is that Sweetums???

  • @WatchVenusSpa He's definitely Sweetums inspired, I've ALWAYS wanted to build a puppet that big since I was a kid, I've had a blast building him :)
