  • Anyone else playing ff7 right now?

  • Really like this band, just wish the recordings on here were better...no low end at all TREBLE METAL lol

  • @defkorn8893 That's always bothered me with the Omnislash songs on youtube. haha.

  • Vildjenta!

  • Okay...still surfing this shit and I don't mean to troll, but this professional guitar distortion is just fucking annoying at this point in time. I don't like guitar solos, but I'd be willing to bet these fuckers couldn't touch Rob Arnold.

  • OMG OMG Omnislash! Omnislash! WTF Don't you stand for?! Cloud is FUCKING EPIC! And the Hero You wouldn't fucking expect! FUCK!

  • FUCK YOU LADY LUCK. Great song, though.

  • I love this awesome DJENT! thumbs up!!!!

  • Well im excited to interview them...

  • what does djent stand for?

  • @neonlightz1 What doesn't it stand for?

  • @iAmTheYan shit bro. I thumped down when i meant to thumps up. Im sorry

  • @iAmTheYan Best fuckin answer

  • @iAmTheYan ....You have to use - Doesdjen`t :D

  • @iAmTheYan what doesn't thall stand for?

  • @neonlightz1 Its onomatapeia for a guitar tone. But its of a movement now, rather than a specific tone. And buld from Periphery was a pioneer of it.

  • @CombatWombat1995

Meshuggah was the pioneer in 1987.

  • @SPYYOPS Yeah but you know what I mean lo

  • @CombatWombat1995 I'd say SikTh and Meshuggah were pioneers as much if not more than Bulb.

  • @neonlightz1 the sound from the guitar

  • @neonlightz1 well the exact meaning of the word djent is shrouded in mystery, the ancient society of mesopotamia used the word to summon demonic forces to aid in the destruction of mountains the resulting ruble was used to build massive underground pyramids called "djentrotypes" were they would hold secret sacrificial slaughters to hold the gods of brutality at bay, typical slaughters would include mainly the women elderly and children. my bet is that the word means everything and nothing.

  • @neonlightz1 Dont Jump Enter Nut Tit

  • @neonlightz1 It's an onomatopoeia for the specific sound produced with the palm muted riffs. See DeadEyeSprout's comment below.

  • @neonlightz1 The sound your guitar makes when you palm mute chug with the last 4 strings together

  • @neonlightz1 It's basically in reference to the heavily distorted tones of the guitars.

  • @neonlightz1 : its technically a genre referring to the common sound correlated with the guitar. let me try and text how this song starts .............. DJENT...DJENT....DJENT.....DJENT-DJENT-DJENT-DJENT-DJENT-DJENT ... lol

  • WUGA.......WUGA

    JAGJAGJAGJAGJAGJAGJAGJAGJAGJAGJAGJAGJAGJAGJAG-

  • Hrmm... Looks like 9 people got Pwn3d by lady luck herself.

  • Only 58k views? What in fuck?

  • Treble.

  • something about semen from sweden must be different there.... these men are no mere mortals.

  • @metalpunkx666 i think youre onto something man, Opeth, Meshuggah, Vildhjarta. maybe its something in Swedish Fish??

  • @Boristhaspydr Swedish Fish is awesome! them Swedes should contiinue making this magic

  • Am I the only one who listened to this song and heard many many parts that sounded like riffs from Fellsilent's "Immerse"?

  • @SimpleImp theres a bit in the pre pro teasers that sounds like such a fellsilent riff. more bands should be influenced by them!

  • THALL!

  • THALL

  • maaan i love these guys!!! they are some serious Final Fantasy 7 fans! read the lyrics! that's awesome because as am i!

the djent style is the future of metal. this is the evolution in progress folks. soak it in, feels good, doesn't it?

  • That intro is almost as good as Totala Mad

  • @PINQINQ what are you totla mad? yeah it is

  • Fighting Ruby Weapon as I listen to this \m/

  • Too much treble. You can barely here any of the drums or anything.

  • @PLAZ1990s .....thats the f'in point...

  • @PLAZ1990s are you fucking deaf?

  • @THETamaDrummer A little better now I hit 480p

  • @THETamaDrummer No still bad.

  • Comment removed

  • @PLAZ1990s maximum twang

  • After listening to the instrumental version of this like 100 times, this just sounds like shit in comparison.

  • @Tibberclaw Where did you find that?

  • @Fungwabus117 I believe it was mediafire. Just google search the music with "rar" or "zip" and usually there is a download link from mediafire in the top 10 results. I only could get 'Shiver' and 'Don't Fail Me Now' in instrumental versions. The instrumentation on Shiver is a bit too dependent on vocals; you can easily tell where the missing vocal segments are... but this song fills the space perfectly fine in instrumental form.

  • He talk just like my old teacher.

  • could use a hint of pepper

  • This song makes my head hurt when I listen to it high. So much djent!

  • Thumbs up for no vocals.

  • needs more beans

  • Needs more pineapple.

  • They kinda remind me of Periphery, but a hell of a lot better, lol.

  • Love this band. Just wish they would come out with a full length album.

  • @Shaidon66 wish has been granted, look it up :)

  • @Shaidon66 What have they come out with? I've only just discovered these and they're fucking awesome! I cant seem to find much around the net?

  • @BlackHeartGraffiti Best i could find was that they just signed with Century Media to produce their album. Still no idea about when it will get released or anything.

  • I love that this song is about Meteor, the highwind, and Aerith's Holy magic.

  • love it!

  • im gonna sound like a fuck here but, is it pronouced

vildyarta? are the h and j a yuh sound?

  • @ibanezxiphos700

     vil - djar - ta

    like djent

  • @rickcristo

No, it is pronounced more like Veeld-yarta. Shorten the long E-noise and soften up both the R and the T and you got it about right.

  • @Nevecus

    my fault, that's correct.

  • If they had better tone, this band would be unstoppable.

  • @kcutdxela Better tone?!

Their tone is insane, don't hear anyone else giving off that sound.

  • @kcutdxela thats an opinion

  • @LittleMonster1201 No flies on you.

  • More Cowbell!!

  • Dope as fuck

  • sounds abit like Immerse by Fellsilent

  • Meshuggah is strong in this one

  • @Hheawy Agreed sir

  • needs more cow bell :D

  • @EHJFO welcome to the world of Djent, my friend.

  • Comment removed

  • beast! Ihr habt es echt drauf! weiter so! greetings from germany!

  • REPLAY BUTTON (0:00)

  • This intro (before the vox come in) is spanktastic to say the least.

  • Why oh why is there nothing for download? :( I want mp3's!!

  • @spacemonkeyzass Buy a CD, man. Then you have a hard copy too.

  • @CyValkarion where can I buy a cd?! I'll go get it tomorrow!!! :D

  • These guys are badass, you deal with that.

  • at 4:18 my brain exploded and I had to train a wild monkey to type this.

  • good but the vocals are decent at best

  • @MrLaFineFleur I deal with it, and it is one good deal.

On topic, these guys are amazing. One of the best metal bands to grace my ears recently. The vocals are brutal.

  • @MrLaFineFleur you spelled awesome wrong.

  • Thank you Sweden.

  • this "djent" tone you all talk about can be accomplished simply with a 7 string guitar drop tuned or an 8 string guitar...but personally the term "djent" bugs me. enough with all these technical terms for ever aspect of music. just listen and enjoy. haters gonna hate. who gives a fuck.

  • @tylerplague i think the extra classification is needed in the case of djent, the scene isnt like any other in metal, because theres so few bands on it compared to say, deathcore or some shit, theres a real sense of community and the musicianship is second to none, you cant just chuck that in with the rest of "metal"

    djent has very clear boundries

  • The polyrhythms and syncopation is cool and all, but it wears itself out if there's not a solid chord progression anywhere, which is a huge integral part in writing. The F#, augmented 5th G dissonant repetition gets old. Groovy riffs nonetheless.

  • @scarbotr Well, at least you know what you're talking about. I'm fairly sure actual chord progressions aren't really Vildhjarta's job anyway, lol.

  • @JonathanChunPrevenge haha yeah. If it's something they don't wanna do, then I have no qualms with it. They're the artists. I actually just started listening to this "djent" stuff yesterday. I think it's pretty tight

  • Sweden has such amazing bands

  • any know how they get there tone, it sounds like it has a lot of gain in it and what amp do they use

  • @moneymoney220666 Just look up how to get a djenty tone, Djent tone like this is established like yo usaid, partially by raping the gain on a preset.

  • @EcuadorFreak and by "rape" you mean turn it down a lot

  • @JonathanChunPrevenge nope, by turning it really high up, but If you know how to achieve a nice djenty tone with minimal gain, then I won't argue. lol.

  • @EcuadorFreak I go for a more Periphery/Keith Merrow-style djenty sound, so that could be it.

  • DJIZZ DJIZZ DJIZZZ.... i need a tissue for my djissue.

  • that intro riff is just un describable

  • i'm a fan of djent, but i still like deathcore way more.

  • @skyeatsbrennan best would be combination, because djent songs sometimes have long breath and don't have that aggressive speed through the whole song, only in parts; but check out volumes, they are a bit in this direction

  • @circleofpit lol what? volumes are more agressive? LMAO okay buddy

  • @skyeatsbrennan well get ready son, but deathcore is getting booted out the fucking door the same way post-hardcore, nu metal, and metalcore did

  • @theforkisonthetable

Really? Escape The Fate and Norma Jean are doing pretty good. Slipknot and Korn are still huge. Whitechapel, Carnifex, Born Of Osiris, Attila, and many more are doing good. No one is getting booted. It's just the fact that a new style is approaching and people are loving it.

  • @MercyIsFatal dude, we're at the peak of deathcore. all the deathcore bands are signed and established. there are very few new deathcore bands coming out, unless they raise the bar somehow.

fact is, the market is saturated with deathcore. its on its way out just like 80s metal, alternative, numetal-posthardcore, metalcore, and now deathcore. its just the way it is dude. deathcore has been tapped, and its pretty fuckin dry son lol

  • Djent!

  • NEEDS MOAR COWBELL!!!!!11!!

  • HOLY SHIIT :O THIS IS REAL MUSIC RIGHT THERE :O

  • ME : DA FACK IS THIS

GOD : SHUT UP ASSHOLE! Its because of this that I havent destroyed the earth and I wont do it in 2012 cause I need to hear what this guys will do in the future Im so excited

Me : danmmmmmmm ..bad -ass good music !

  • vilDJENTa moar liek!!!!!1one!!

  • looking forward to their album, hope it's gonna be out soon.

  • Vildhjarta mean Djent in Swedish

  • @AIJos1 It means Wild Heart

  • @FuckYou0liSyk3s No its a place Vildhjarta, not Vildhjärta

  • Not enough banjo.

  • @AIJos1

i feel the didgeridoo is lacking in this song also

  • @AIJos1 easily the best comment i've ever read!

  • @AIJos1 or cowbell

  • I need their album.

  • God they sound so good without that annoying vocalist

  • djent djent djent!!!

    hell yea djent!

  • This band's name means "Wildheart" in Swedish.

  • Best song i'v ever heard....

  • polyrhythms I don't even

  • @MikeyRoberto LOLOLO'

  • logarithmic guitar riffs ftw

  • @kirbz01

oh man i just lold really hard

  • @kirbz01 i think you just coined a new word for djent

  • @kirbz01 that made me smile

  • @kirbz01 - I don't understand. Are you just being 'poetic'? What are 'logarithmic' riffs?

  • first

  • even though periphery's music may not be new, the singing definitely is lol. calm down guys

  • So... when is the album supposed to hit!?!?

  • ... My balls are tingleing

  • Meshuggah + Sybreed = Vildhjarta

  • @TheK0niasz Hahaha. Not even close.

  • @CelestialObscurity

I find that good comparison. OK, maybe instead of Sybreed shoulda've put Synthetic Breed.

  • this band gives me an erection like none other. seriously why is this music so goddamn sexy??? it does not make sense.

  • @smackythefirst my thoughts exactly.

  • out of many of the new Djent bands (Periphery, Tesseract and Vildhjarta) these guys for sure have the most fitting singing.

  • @MetallicOpeth Rofl @ you calling Periphery new.

  • @zingmod sorry buddy, but 2005 isn't new

  • @MetallicOpeth WOW meant old, yeesh

  • @MetallicOpeth It's not old, but 5 years is definitely not new in a genre as young as metal, much less progressive metal. Besides bulb was writing music in his solo project long before that, and considering that all of Periphery's music was once from Bulb's solo project, a lot of Periphery's music was actually written over 5 years ago. Anyways, it's not a big deal, and i definitely don't intend to start an argument, i just though it was funny that you called Periphery new.

  • Sick music. I can't listen to the over distorted/techy guitars for too long but this is interesting.

  • the screaming isnt as strong as i would like it to be but this band is still pretty awesome. cleans r spot on

  • I fucking LOVE this band. When's their cd actually going to come out? The ending is FUUUUUCKING brutal!

  • can't hear any bass on this song!

  • @kreepmaster 3:34 to 4:05 you can clearly hear the bass

  • this song is sooo unique!! kinda modern digital djent or something!

  • 2:00
