This song is another example of why I adore Dolly. It's honest and as beautiful as the Smoky Mountains; especially, during the Christmas Season when just about everything is wrapped in lights. It's like walking into your own personal snow globe. It's a memory for me worth hanging on to with dear life. Dolly is a blessing to the Smoky Mountains and to the world. The world is in dire need of more wonderful people like Dolly - full of love, life, joy and laughter.
@GreatestSingerEver01 makes me want to cry and I am not a crying person my grand parents were farmers and I would spend my summers on the farms sometimes picking pimento berries to be dried and sell that would often put food on the table, buy new school supplies for school in September. This song is not just Dolly's story its many of us whether we lived that kind of live or not
Nice job. There are lots of Dolly slide shows on YouTube, but this one seems somehow special. Might be the somewhat autobiographical nature of the song "Heartsongs", paired with the poignant images of Dolly (particularly the ones from the late '60s, as Dolly sang about heading "down that rocky road of fame".
