  • I think this is the original Doctor Who....

  • That stone age guy had some VERY dominant genes...

  • first one is much better

  • wtf Robinson Crusoe was published in 1719, years BEFORE 1776. How the fuck is that later?

  • Comment removed

  • so.........michigan j. frog just so happens to have immortality. and loves to screw over peoples descendants

  • Someday those guys will learn that Michigan's voice is not for sale...hence his refusing to perform before an audience.

  • It should have ended at the beginning of the original.

  • 3:14 quella parte faceva poco ridere secono i miei calcoli!

  • the last dude had the right idea...cook em!

  • Jajaja... excelente. Y Marvin es el único que de verdad pudo disfrutar de su canto.

  • 2:03 to 2:34 is fabulous, most Chuck Jones´ creative and brilliant mind

  • Marvin looks so FEMININE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I say let ol' Michigan show up in Roadrunner's neck of the woods. Will the Coyote enjoy a bit of dinner theater, or make a tasty frog soup? Your call....

  • The main problem here are the people giving away a singing frog...

  • The best thing about this is that Siskel & Ebert are in the Colosseum crowd at 5:13. What a honour for them to be immortalized in a Chuck Jones cartoon like that.

  • the song wasnt even created that far back in time

  • Worst sequel to a cartoon ever. Completely pointless and lame. Just goes to show you can't improve on the original classic.

  • 5:13 Roger Ebert and Gene Siskel.

  • @danielamin : Siskert and Ebel?

  • He should've put some salt on his legs. He'd at least dance. But that's about it.

  • What I wanna know is how a steel box & silk tophat wound up in the stone age, and how the stone age frog learned 20th century showtunes.

  • CAESAR´S FACE IS THE BEST

  • He's Pandora's box.

  • Michigan J. Frog: Original Troll.

  • Really that's what the croak meant this whole damn time???!!!! Michigan j frog is a nut!!!

  • I need this video segmented by tomorrow help!!!

  • you know, i think I'd be more interested by the Crafted metal box with hinges that were invented sveral thousand years after it.

  • Daffy duck's arch enemy sings? hahahaha!!! Thats a good one. hehe!!

  • Michigan J. Frog, The original Troll.

  • Couldn't they have found a singer to more closely resemble the original?

  • wow... that frog's like the ultimate troll

  • Sooooooooooooo, the frog sang songs before they were composed.... Well, this felt a bit like stretching a joke too much.

  • His real name is Chet J Michigan. One night as usual the darned frog wouldn't sing. It was close to Christmas and the guy holding him at the bar needed some cash, so he said, "You darned frog, you'll sing or else!" The runt wouldn't whistle a tune. So, the guy held him over a candle and the frog began to sing: "Chet's nuts roasting over and open fire...."

  • The frog is immortal

  • The little reaction box asks me "Your reaction?"

My Reaction: What the heck? Aliens!!! 0_o

Shockingly, I didn't see that coming.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA

  • Is this version voiced by Kelsey Kramer?

  • @das81 Check the opening credits at 0:40. It's Jeff McCarthy.

  • WHAT'S THE NAME OF THE SINGER WHO SING THIS?

  • @lavanguardiadelsol This version is Jeff McCarthy.

The original One Froggy Evening (1955) was Bill Roberts.

  • Michigan j. frog for Playstation 2, Wii, Xbox 360, Nintendo ds

  • impressive, apperently stonhenge was originally built in greece :P

  • Hmm...Let's recap: Michigan J. Frog is immortal or at least has a long life span, travels/lives in a box that has kept the same form over decades, hat can change shape/costume changes over time, can understand alien languages, know songs before they're even created...I'm just going to say it: he's a time lord.

  • @Kronos64 Thats the smartest thing I've heard all day!

  • @Kronos64 brilliant

  • @Kronos64 and the most badass amphibian on the face of the planet! that's why i hate the CW! i can handle the doing away with the rest of the stuff but you do NOT F*CK WITH THE FROG!

  • I love that frog and the Martian…whatever he's called!

  • @glaciervillage The frog is named Michigan J. Frog and the martian is named Marvin.

  • This cartoon sounds better time-compressed.

  • he's bumpin the Michigan Rag before there was even a Michigan

  • 2:48 - I always knew Stonehenge was just a theatrical stage...

  • he screws over the same guy after each generation.

  • So Michigan J Frog is the ORIGIN of those tunes- its not that he somehow learned then!

  • What's the name of the song that frog and Marvin are singing at the end?

  • @unrealdwarf1

Let The Rest Of The World Go By (Ernest Ball / J Keirn Brennan)

  • TE PASASTE CON LA SAGA DE MICHIGAN J. FROG...TE FELICITO...

  • ahahahaha!! that was a willie nelson song at the end!

  • The conclusion should have been set sometime after 2053.

That's where 'One Froggy Evening' ended.

The building disintegrator man should have given it to the Martians just

to be rid of it like its' previous discoverers

unaware Martians appreciated immortal singing amphibians.

PS: That box is indestructible. No rust, dents or scratches after 300,000 years!

  • @jsl151850b "One Froggy Evening" ended in 2056. But this whole cartoon takes place before that cartoon. You can see in "Scene 7" that the castaway has a box with "Robinson Crusoe, Esq." on it. So I guess Marvin the Martian let Michigan J. Frog go (perhaps after a similar fate as all these guys) in 1892, just in time for the dedication of the building torn down in 1955.

  • @jsl151850b the box? the goddamn FROG dude!

  • Wow this guy has alot of ancestors!

  • they don't make cartoons like this anymore =^/

  • Is it just me, or does the guy have a Hitler mustache?

  • somethings up with marvin's voice...

  • I didn't realize that song was THAT old! :) Obviously this frog could have survived yesterday's RAPTURE!

  • how did the box get there in the first place?

  • Michigan J Frog=Troll

  • Well, looks like Earth is free from the froggy menace.

  • At the end, *sniff* Marvin and that frog make such beautiful voices.

  • @Bakminsterfulerit00 hahaha, oops, Yeah BC.

  • Those people who found the frog look similar. That family must have awful luck...

  • Michigan sounds a bit like Johnny Bravo here

  • @jumpropeman I know. I liked his original voice better. :( BTW, the guys at 5:13... who're they supposed to be, Siskel & Ebert or something like that?

  • @Sh4d0wKat Exactly!

  • It seems all the men the frog encountered have the same appearance, I wonder if they're all related.

  • @RexBlazer1 no only the same appearance, its in the same box, and sings the same early 20 century music. Even since that times

  • why do all the men have short legs and big fat torsos?

  • I love how he lives just to troll once a couple of hundred years

  • I don't know why people don't like this. I think it's a worthy follow-up to the original.

  • despite what everybody says, it's not too bad. but the original is better.

  • A true disgrace to the original. I'm all for continuing on with characters and expanding on them, but I just can't defend this.

  • Clams...Millions if them.

  • This is weird. I know that Jones himself is in the director's seat here, but this just looks more like someone else just copying Chuck Jones. :S

  • @Bobzeaux The animation has been tweeked. Movement, colors and angles are a more modern style. This was released in 1995 with City of Angels movie. (IMDB)

  • woah! Marvin can sing?! And he's good?! Marvin's awesome level just went up 1000 points! But what's up with his girly eyelashes? Is it to show that he's happy? We already know that he's happy.

  • does anyone else notice the little kitten at the end of the pack.

  • Now I know why analysing the joke is referred to as 'dissecting the frog'.

  • i was going to propose the question of how the hell he got a tophat, cane and metal box...and learned english 300,000 years ago...but being that its a cartoon about a frog that lives forever and has a beautiful singing voice...i decided not to lol

  • one of the animators is named duane gretsky lol

  • lol Siskel and Ebert in the Roman crowd.

  • wat the fuck voice

  • So even if all the frogs go extinct Michigan J. Frog is here to stay! :D

  • I knew there was a logical explanation for stone henge, none of this alien rubbish it was a platform for the Michigan J. Frog. Somebody update Wikipedia.

  • I think its his ancestors that keep finding him, lol.

  • Michigan J. Frog and Marvin the Martian, a match made in Heaven; both of them live to p*** people off.

  • Aww, and here I thought the frog had some long overdue justice coming his way on that deserted island

  • Comment removed

  • (I mean BC)

  • @sayheytojoshk The same guy, by the looks of him. Either that or one of his descendants. Poor sap(s)...

  • @sayheytojoshk the origonal rick roll, right here

  • @sayheytojoshk Thats over 298,000 years from now i think you mean B.C.

  • @LeaderofGreeks haha yes I know, I screwed that up. I didn't even expect that comment to get popular but If I could edit it I would.

  • @element96killcams yes I know, it was a mistake

  • @sayheytojoshk *B.C.

  • @R4d1c4lAcc3pt4nc3 you're like the 20th person to correct me lol. Screw it, I'm reposting it.

  • What the hell's with Marvin Martian's voice?

  • I don't think he's immortal, I remember searching up Michigan J. Frogs history, and on his final act, he appeared as a ghost bowing down to the audience at the end of the final episode in June or July 2005

  • i miss the original frog voice. i liked him better

  • I was so hoping that little f**ker was going to get eaten too, lol! :)

  • Marvin and Michigan singing togheter ar the final part

  • @Marvincmf One time when I was watching this, I was folding towels and when it came to this part, I sang Marvin's part and Mom complimented me on my harmony.

  • I learned all of my World History from this cartoon.

  • Notice when Caesar unleashes the lions and tigers...the very last one is the kitten from that cartoon where the kitten gets comfortable on the bulldog's back?

  • I don't know if it was mentioned before. I believe animator Eric Goldberg was the speaking voice of "Marvin Martian" in "Another Froggy Evening."

  • The quality of talent working today isn't less than it used to be. But the crew that made the classic films are now gone. Anything new made with Bugs, Daffy, and the gang will always seem like a dim reflection. We should be looking to make new films with new characters.

At the time Froggy evening was made, Marvin Martian was extremely popular. Suddenly there was a request from the top to add Marvin to the story... because Warner Bros. wanted production cels of Marvin to sell in the gallery.

  • While I appreciate their attempts to create new looney tunes shorts, everytime I realize they will never be as good as they were. The animation quality is worse, the slapstick is just not right, and how similar the voices of billy west and co. may be the voice acting is just not the same without mel blanc. Maybe we should just let the looney tunes rest.

  • Funny how the frog is much smaller than Marvin at first but seems almost as tall in the end :)

  • perfect ending :D

  • I think Stan Freberg or Don Arioli thought the Titanic bit up. Chuck thought that using the Titanic wouldn't be tasteful, and might offend some of the families of those that died! Could have been a great story though.

  • so.. the only thing that the guy should have done all those years was just ask the frog to sing?

  • Michigan J. Frog is a BEAST. ;D

  • Not to be nitpicky, but Robinson Crusoe came about 100 years before the Revolutionary War...

  • LOL @ 2:57!!!

  • I do believe the frog and the martian are gay.

  • a timeless song?... The latin word for frog is 'RANA'.

  • Saladus Caesar Lol.

  • If I was them I would've roasted that Frog or cook it French style and eat it ; )

  • Fantastic voice and singing! Love it.

  • that frog is an ass hole lol

  • time travelling frog? immortal frog? Trollin frog? = BEAST TOAD

  • i love Michigan J. Frog :))

  • Michigan J. Frog's History is very funny, just wach how play with the people trought the time is very very funny.

  • Who's Ebert and Siskel?

  • 05:15

    Ebert and Siskel?

  • I can hear the score is not Carl Stalling or Richard Stone... Too bad they're both gone now.

  • so, that frog came originaly from europe, and it ends on a space ship to mars?

    wow, what a trip dude!

  • Lulziest ending evar.

  • That's hilarious- never thought I'd say a sequel to the original, well made, thanks for posting this!

  • 5:10

    Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert!

  • [sigh] here we go again.

  • :S thats one immortal frog :D

  • @RandomDumbass You had to know he was immortal from day one. When he is originally removed from the cornerstone of the condemned courthouse (in the first one) in 1955, a letter says he's been there since 1892. *grin* How did he live if not immortal?

  • @RandomDumbass he is a demon frog <.< dun dun duuun

  • @NoxiNobodi OOooh shiznuts! then we better get ourself some anti-demon-frog-cuz-they-so-scary kit.... Do they sell any of those by chance.? :D

  • @RandomDumbass arme of french dhemon hunters

  • @NoxiNobodi I just bought an anti-demon-frog-cuz-they-so-scary kit from my alien friend paul, he is also immortal and he knows the frog very good. he sais that if we want the frog to sing we give him a donkey that poops rainbows so he can have lots of leprechaun gold for his work..... to be honest with you i dont realy care and im very, very, veeerrryyyy high right now.... do i have detention now?

  • 1995

  • This and ONE FROGGY EVENING are my favorites besides WHAT'S OPERA DOC? and THE SCARLET PUMPERNICKEL.

  • Stonehenge wasn't built in a day, but it was definitely built to the tune of La Grande Porte de Kiev.

  • I always wondered why stonehenge was built.

  • oh, goody-gumdrops. he speaks martian!

  • hahaha am i the only one that noticed the two guys that gave them thumbs down were siskel & ebert?

  • @joneswill37 Nope, I caught onto that joke too. Nice touch. Plus the dog's kitten from an earlier cartoon chasing after the Roman guy along with the jungle cats.

  • its good, but a bit too long

  • who are the 2 guys in the coliseum that give the 2 thumbs down

  • So that guy has been ruining his life for centuries over a singing frog? Karma is a fucking bitch.

  • So at the end the only one who understand him and befriend with him with no intention of exploit him for profit is the alien....great end

  • @thatg98y6 Marvin fully intends to exploit him as well: "How saleable!"

  • @quintopia mmm I didn't pay attention to that...so then the alien is smarter...he wants to use the frog but he treat him nicely...

  • So how does he end up at the construction site by 1955? Did Marvin kick him out?

  • the final scene takes place after 1955

  • So @ 3:20

Is that the meaning of "Getting Stoned"?

    LOL

  • @JustinBlottin

    Yes, it actually is.

  • jajaja esta buena... hahaha it´s good

  • Da fuck is wrong with Michigan's voice?!?!?!

  • @MrJohn2010 another actor.

  • @MrJohn2010 The original was done in 1955. This was done in 1995, so they used a different actor to do the singing. Also, with the change in recording technologies, the quality of recording is different.

  • if i find that box one day imma kill that motherfucker

  • OMG I DIDN'T KNOW THERE WAS 2 episodes of him

  • 2:30

Holy... Poo... THAT EXPLAIN EVERYTHING!!! =O

  • Oh how I wish they used the original ending to this...

  • @HazyChase20 what was the 'original ending'?

  • @Beelzy66 It involved the frog finally singing to the crowd, and the Titantic. You can guess what happens from there.

  • Its amazing how history repeats itself.

  • nice siskel and ebert cameo at 5:14

  • YAY! Two of my favorite wb characters, marvin and michigan, in the same cartoon!

  • At last, Michigan finds someone who understands him. I just never imagined it to be Marvin.

  • Well.... I dunno ...... adds nothing to the original. Can't people leave well enough alome???
