  • Is there enough dough for all the pieces of the house, or does one dough bring the front and a wall, meaning you need two doughs for the walls, and another dough for the roof? Cause when you were cutting the dough, it looked like you didn't have enough :-S

  • omg u make it look so easy

  • @kingyippie does that dough do all eh pieces :) novice and want to get it right

    thanks

  • use foil or wax paper to roll out your gingerbread dough on then just pick-up the foil or wax paper and place onto cookie sheetnand bake.

  • Thanks

  • I love it

  • Love Mrs.Galyean

~Mia Golden and Haleigh ware your 1st Period<3

  • Do you know how to make a gingerbread girl?

  • my sis tryed this it went terable

  • Is this edible?

  • @AlexKateTV Yes.

  • Thanks for the video ! My mom and I are going to give it our first try tomorrow! :)

  • Thanks a lot this helped so much!

  • I cannot wait to try this! so easy to follow :) and looks even easier to make. thanks so much!

  • I cry when ever I see a gingerbread house. My mother made the best, till the day she died before Christmas. I cry when ever I hear or that has anything that has to do with Christmas. ;(

Its been three years, now I have to face it, and learn how Christmas cheers are around the house. Me and my family are going to make the house out of gingerbread! Now me and my family face Christmas as if my mother is coming back to meat us.

  • @Blackdragon1998ful That is so sad! I hope you have a happy Christmas!

  • @Blackdragon1998ful to 'meat' u or to meet u ???

  • very nice i will try too, i never made

  • 20 dislikes? what's not to like? LOL.......looks like fun!

  • @meganubis you can use meringe powder or pasterised egg whites :)

  • I will never understand women. All that work in making a edible house? WTF

  • Is this safe to eat? with the raw egg whites? do i bake the whole thing before eating it?

  • i love this!!! I am gonna make a house and im using all your ingredients!!! THANKS!!! :)

  • how to eat this >.<?

  • Easier way: cut out your templates first.

  • anyone have any websites where i can print a template????? plz reply<3

  • @thefranny1998 I think it's farenheit because she's from the US

  • @logiclovr thanks i didn't know cause i am from europe

  • very imp!!!! is it 350 degrees F or 350 degrees C..... Pls can somebody tell me?...

  • @TheFranny1998 Well, 350 degrees celsius is around 662 degrees fahrenheit. Most ovens that I know of don't heat higher than 230 degrees celsius, or around 445 degrees fahrenheit. That's super hot! So to answer your question in short...it's 350 degrees fahrenheit, or 176 degrees celsius. If you're not sure, just go to google and type in the question, aka ''What is 350 degrees fahrenheit in celsius?'' and you will generally get the conversion answered straight away. Happy baking!

  • @MissMinstermind omg thank you so much i am new at this!!!!

  • @TheFranny1998 F! ovens don't go to 350 C!

  • @lucysfilms i don't cook alot so i don't know thanks for the help

  • @sixstrings24 it sounds like the theme song to Paula's Best Dishes

  • What song is playing in the background during the video?

  • Question how do you eat the ginerbread house

  • @MegaSayachan I don't. I bake gingerbread men out of the ''scrap dough'' and decorate and eat that. The gingerbread house, in my household anyway, is for decorating. Put it on the shelf or the mantlepiece, and enjoy! Munch on the leftover gingerbread men! :)

  • I want to make this with my kids, but have a concern about the icing. Is it edible? With the raw egg and then sitting out? Thanks for the video : )

  • @AZA417 For kids, I would play it safe and just buy cake frosting at the grocery store.

  • whats mollases ???

  • great!!! loved everybit of this, will defs make this with my mum...LOL, she is gna love this too! Cheers!

  • This looks really fun! One question though, what can I use as an alternative to molasses? I am from New Zealand and have never heard of it lol :/ No one ever builds gingerbread houses over here but I think I'm going to make one this year :)

  • @live4thesummer I'm from NZ too and was like "huh??" when she said molasses. But then I read on Wikipedia that it can be substituted with:

    black

treacle (which is very similar to molasses)

    honey

    dark corn syrup

    maple syrup

but idk cos I've never tried it XD

  • @FilledToBeEmptied Ah cool! Haha thanks :)

  • make ok house (so in the beginning, just two of those joins) until they set. I have never seen anyone make a gingerbread house

  • make ok house

  • I find the best way to avoid a gingerbread house falling apart is to leave each join (so in the beginning, just two of those joins) until they set. I have never seen anyone make a gingerbread house and ice the whole thing in one go and have it stay there, we usually put books either side while the joins set. It may take a bit longer, but it avoids the heartbreak of your lovingly assembled gingerbread house falling and breaking to bits before your eyes. Just a tip :)

  • i don't understand her accent...

  • that was that best! 2011

  • its easier to just buy a kit from the store :p

  • yha u do but its the hardest thing ever

  • Cool, I've always wanted to try making a ginger bread house for christmas knowing me i always figured id mess up and just say ahh screw it and make ginger bread men instead :P

  • that looked delicious :P

  • I ment makes by the way.

  • You can buy an already made gingerbread house peices in a pack at IKEA. I have and I'm making mine. The icing my mum males isn't as sturdy tho

  • I think I would be intimidated by making a gingerbread "house," but not a gingerbread. Do you actually eat the gingerbread house, or do you use it as decoration? If I saw your gingerbread house, I'd be tempted to take a bite out of it.

  • last year i made The Epire State Building :D

  • woah!!!! my friends name is ava and she has black hair the same langth as that girl!!!! thats crazy!!! :D

  • @EdwardElricsHelper, I think Dinuka was just asking about the butter because in countries other than the US, we don't use 'sticks' of butter - it comes in a slab, so to make the recipe work we need to know how much a stick weighs.

  • ♥ly i ♥ it way 2 go

  • you don't eat gingerbread houses? what a strange american custom (in a good way)

  • That's what she said!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow your goooood

  • you are some sort of wizard. really hungry now >.>

  • Sorry, "two sticks of butter" how much is it in gramms?

  • one stick of butter is about 113 grams so 2 sticks are 226

If it's easier though, two sticks of butter = 1 cup of butter (2.3 deciliter) :D

  • @Dinuka77 who really cares about grams when its the holidays???

  • VERY NICE

never made one before, but I will with your instructions.......

    THANKS :-)

  • LOVE IT!!!
