@SaberSense Well, people seem to like him enough to ignore his accent trouble. And Moulin Rouge was pretty good, I thought. Very, extremely cheesy, but good. And he could have had a memory blank...I do that all the time. I even forgot a girl's name wo I was good friends with once. I'm just forgetful. He might have also been doing it for the laughs. He probably knew and just did it for the audience appreciation.
@SaberSense Ah...yes. I know what you're talking about. Very well, I'll agree to disagree.
And I fully well know that there will always be negative comments on anything that anyone likes; it's just confusing at times as to what logic the other people dislike them.
@SaberSense I don't diss actors due to bad accents. And you don't seem calm at all; you keep using continuous vulgarity. That, to me, is a sign of stress.
In addition, Angels and Demons was great compared to the Star Wars prequels. I admit, it had many flaws, but not as many as the Star Wars prequels, nor as terrible a plot.
Ewan is one of my favorite actors, with or without his accent troubles. He acts very well, and that's what an actor is supposed to do, no?
@SaberSense A decent movie since Star Wars? Angels and Demons. The Ghost Writer. There's two for ya. And maybe he spaced out? Calm the fuck down dude.
That's funny, funny guy. I do think he at large made the films watchable despite the bad dialogue. I am sure Hayden and Natalie could have done better with a better script as some of the stuff they said was out right dumb no matter what your opinion is. He was right on about the 3rd being the best of the prequels to bad the silly host had to defend Lucas haha.
I think what we're basically saying here, is all the UK-ish actors were great, lol.
As an American, I can't say as I disagree. Been a fan of Liam's for years, and Ewan truly captured the look and spirit of Sir Alec's iconic Obi-Wan. I could actually see him growing into the older version with very little imagination needed.
Just be honest Ewan: you hate the bloody Star Wars movies. They're horrible from start to finish, you know it, we all know it, just be honest for once.
@Deathlygunn Yes, they were definitely some of the best actors in PT, along with McGregor. Too bad the rest weren't as good. Christensen and Portman SUCKED!
Did everyone miss what he said? He liked the third film Revenge of the Sith. And it's true. That was the one that was closest to being on par with the original trilogy.
@User323232 Nope. Not even close. I understand your need to convince yourself that the prequels weren't a complete waste, but sadly that is not the case.
I agree with Ewan's opinion of the first three star wars *1-3*...episodes 1 and 2 were crud and should have been re-written by somebody else. But the only good scenes, and the only smart move made by George Lucas, were those with Ewan in them.
he surely has his reasons to say those things about star wars, but he mentioned he had a lot of fan too ;)...and after all, all he has to do is gain money doing films, even if he doesn't like them
@Gina97xls Ewan's character didn't even have an arc over those three movies, which is probably one of their their biggest failings. He did the best he could with awful material. If Ewan couldn't do anything with it, no one could.
@thecrosby627 in case you haven't noticed, i posted this 3 years ago... since then I decided I don't like Hayden Christensen's acting abilities... however, Ewan is still my Rock Star! :)
@Gina97x what u talkin' about they was all better than the old ones i mean the old ones were pretty borin' luke was shit! hahaha we only used to watch it cuz of vader and harrison ford as hansolo yoda and obiwan without them the old ones would have crashed and burned the new ones had better actors i mean it had sauel jackson! and ewan and liam neeson in it far better actors than they had in the old ones and put more into it better than lukes horrid noo scene

I agree PriceisRight! Usually you get the standardised answer from Ewan - "Well, they were technically very difficult but I liked playing in them." In this he's being honest and I agree with him 100% here.
