This film is so wonderfuly done- I like to observe the background activity- In the back at about 2:56 u can see that the couple is "pretending" to mind their own business just like in real life. This is such great detail.

To all of you saying that Gracie's bf was right about what he said,your all dumb as hell. Especially the person that said "I wouldn't help raise someone else's kids" ...They're not even GRACIE'S KIDS!!!!!! She's cleaning up all her dumbass mom's mistakes,give her some damn credit already!!! I know if I was in that position I wouldn't even try to raise my brothers because I'd be too mentally and physically just worn down and broken. I'd give up,especially after Rose left. It really takes a lot of heart,strength and dedication to do what she did. I can't believe this is based on a true story!

That's not fair. Tommy is not fair, its basically that burning building question. Its not right for him to try and make her choose. She went through hell to get them and then suddenly he wants her to choose? I don't blame him for not wanting to responsibility to raise someone else's kids. the thing with Tommy is that he doesn't understand. he does have a point though. he loves Gracie and he wants to marry her and not her brothers. he doesn't want to have to share her. i know the feeling, but Gracie is all the boys have. if she leaves them for her boyfriend, they are going to get split up and go into foster care. Gracie made the right choice. Having kids means you have to sacrifice the things you want for the things they need.

I don't blame Tommy at all. He's seventeen years old and doesn't want an instant family of three until he's finished college and experienced life. I think you have to remember that Gracie is pretty exceptional. You can't fault someone for not wanting to struggle the way she has to.
