It has some good information in it regarding being laid off and also explains why an officer was present to escort you out as well as why you were not permitted to take your office materials with you. At first glance it seems over kill but some people just lose it, destroy the work place, and cause a big scene.

Quite a few people got fired for doing things unbecoming of a company employee. A couple got fired for fighting, a few for having sex in their own car, off company property, off company time. It reflects poorly on a company's hiring practices, when people they hire misbehave and it gets the law involved. or just bad publicity. Get the concept? I'd lay her off...

It's really so completely wrong how our society does that to people, because whenever you want to leave the job, you must give them a 2 or 3 weeks notice. Now on the other hand whenever they need to let you go they usually would wait until 5:00 clock in the afternoon, after you've worked the whole day and then decide to let you go. Now that is cheap and what a disgrace. Whatever happened to this So-Cal American Dream that we hope to live someday?????

When was this made? Find a job yet? I have been unemployed since the end of Sept. 2010. Budget would not allow me to stay. I can't even get an interview. I am tired and bummed. @MsStargirl - Hey I know how you feel, it's hard the routine of not going out to work and the social aspect goes, it easy to lose your confidence and self esteem. The down times are very much a global thing, know how you feel. There's no magical cure, sometimes it just a bit of luck to get the next position, it's important to keep your chin up and have lunch or dinner with friends keep your social life going. Better would be "without reproof" or "upbraiding" or "revile." "Finding fault" is OK as long as you understand your sincerity and faith are known by the Lord. That's a powerful promise. I suggest you hold it fast. I don't expect you to use it on these questions but someday you may want an answer from God.

I dont know how it works in america but in canada that would 100% qualify you. You can make up to $100 per week and it doesnt affect your claim. After that more then $100 per week is subtracted from your claim until it surpasses the total amount of the claim at which point you wont get anything. The max is 450 of EI + $100 other earnings a week. if you made $500 you would still get a cheque for $50 that week.
However we do not have 99 weeks like you, its cut at 7 months, and final.
I been laid off for 3 years and counting I gave up and went on welfare and collected food stamps and Im doing better now then when I was working two jobs I feel great I got two cars a new LED 52"TV im on section 8 and paying $80 a month for rent new bedroom set nes dining room set etc etc things are great so the solution is welfare and food stamps trust me you wont regreat it please.

I was laid off recently. This was due to a buyout. Granted I was one of the highest paid but I was also the highest producer. Our sales did not support this, our VP of sales had never sold anything prior to coming tour our company. I know as he interviewed me but at the same time I interviewed him. I have hired executive sales people in the past & this guy should never been hired but his buddy was running the company. No wonder we went under. No sales = no revenue.

@MsStargirl - Hey I know how you feel, it's hard the routine of not going out to work and the social aspect goes, it easy to lose your confidence and self esteem. The down times are very much a global thing, know how you feel. There's no magical cure, sometimes it just a bit of luck to get the next position, it's important to keep your chin up and have lunch or dinner with friends keep your social life going. Think about doing your own website with a subject that interests you :-) good luck

@ERICBOBCAT I don't know why you say I forgot it. I didn't. It's telling you that you should ask the Lord for the answer. "without finding fault" isn't the best rendering for those two words. Better would be "without reproof" or "upbraiding" or "revile." "Finding fault" is OK as long as you understand your sincerity and faith are known by the Lord. That's a powerful promise. I suggest you hold it fast. I don't expect you to use it on these questions but someday you may want an answer from God.

I dont know how it works in america but in canada that would 100% qualify you. You can make up to $100 per week and it doesnt affect your claim. After that more then $100 per week is subtracted from your claim until it surpasses the total amount of the claim at which point you wont get anything. The max is 450 of EI + $100 other earnings a week. if you made $500 you would still get a cheque for $50 that week.
However we do not have 99 weeks like you, its cut at 7 months, and final.

I been laid off for 3 years and counting I gave up and went on welfare and collected food stamps and Im doing better now then when I was working two jobs I feel great I got two cars a new LED 52"TV im on section 8 and paying $80 a month for rent new bedroom set nes dining room set etc etc things are great so the solution is welfare and food stamps trust me you wont regreat it please.

I was laid off recently. This was due to a buyout. Granted I was one of the highest paid but I was also the highest producer. Our sales did not support this, our VP of sales had never sold anything prior to coming tour our company. I know as he interviewed me but at the same time I interviewed him. I have hired executive sales people in the past & this guy should never been hired but his buddy was running the company. No wonder we went under. No sales = no revenue.
