I'm glad they left that deep breath in the song, makes it more authentic, gives it a human touch. When I was a kid, 40+ years ago --never thought I'd hear myself say that!-- when the choir sings: "Ba-by Jesu", as a kid, I thought they were saying, "Hazel". Always wondered who "Hazel" was? Yes, there will never, ever be a better version of this song. Eat your heart out Justine Babette.

This song is SO very special to me! It takes me way back to when I was a child in the 70s & 80s. My dad played it often each Christmas (a vinyl record, of course!) and my siblings and I loved to pretend we were the drummers. We would 'drum' and sing our hearts out! It will forever be my favorite Christmas song AND animated TV special. Both bring back such awesome memories of Christmas past. Thank you for making this video!
