It's funny how everyone nowadays is blaming vaginal birth on vaginal problems. The issue here is your pelvic girdle which supports all of your upper organs and can become weakened even just by being pregnant, whether you have a vaginal birth or not. By exercising, you keep your muscles strong and the pelvic support muscles are strong. I have met women who had c-sections with more incontinence problems than women who have had 3 vaginal births. Most of the women arent physically fit in general.
Don't you just love doctors, they brainwash women into thinking they don't know how to give birth and that they need doctors to help them, which then causes a bunch of problems, and then they tell you you need a bunch of surgeries and treatments to fix the problem that was caused by their practices in the first place.
It is so sad they we are told this info about childbirth from the modern medical field who supposedly know so much about women's bodies. Now they are trying to tell us that normal birth is dangerous but having a major c-section is safe! If women just gave birth the way they were designed to without doctors telling them what to do, this would be a rare occurance.
I have uterine prolapse and scheduled surgery for laparoscopic suture hysteropexy to repairs the prolapse and preserves my uterus. The real culprit here is not so much "natural" childbirth but the combination of a large baby (mine was 9 lb. 3 oz) and prolonged delivery . I've been living with this for 19 years!. Kegels cannot repair this kind of damage - beliee me - I'm a champion at kegels! I look forward to being able to exercise more so I can stay healthy as I age.
It is important to note that certain factors that are common in "managed" vaginal births are what can contribute to prolapse, not vaginal birth itself. For example, when women are told to push so hard, especially when they have an epidural and can't feel the natural urge to push, that can put enormous stress on the pelvic muscles that would not be there if the woman was birthing in the way her body instinctively feels like birthing - in the position she wants, pushing as her body feels like etc
@kaurinaj I agree, this is something most people have no idea about because we have all been brainwashed into thinking women don't know "how" to give birth, and they need the doctor to instruct them.
its carrying those big babies i suffered from it for over 20 years my second son was almost 19 pounds and was a 10 month baby men don't understand the damage to your body just having babies..your whole inside moves. ant surgery causes scar tissue
This video is misleading and does not discuss the other damage that could be done by having a c-section. This is a major abdominal surgery and not only increases the risks to the mother, but can have long lasting problems for babies such as respiratory difficulties, prematurity if delivered before labor. Additionally, elective c-sections can put mothers at risks for more complications in subsequent pregnancies.

My heart is with her. I work with women to rehab pelvic floor and it is such rewarding work to see a woman have less discomfort and more confidence.

I had a 9lb 4oz baby and a 10lb 5oz baby, both via c-sections and I have a prolapse. So, yes, you can still get them even though you had a c-section.
