    like under the numbers there is a line and it looks like a fractions.. and you have to put a 100 under the rate.

    like i understand it kinda but ... i still dont get the correct answers.

    The reason for the 100 under the rate is because the rate needs to be turned into a decimal fraction. So you would put say 7% in as the number 7. Than the fraction over 100 would turn that into 0.07 when you do it on your calculator. The two ones you have there mean nothing. The one under the 3 just means that you are dividing 3 by which is 3. So there is no real need for the ones.
