  • I use to go see these guys every time they played in detroit. Joey was so full of energy on stage, they put great shows. I still have both of they're CD's. They put out one in Deroit and did another in Windsor that had 1 or 2 extra songs on it.

  • It was actually Run Run Rudolph on "Christmas in Detroit" .... check it out on youtube

  • I think I heard a live version of Frosty the Snowman by these guys on WRIF or WLLZ, around Chrstmas of course, back in mid 80s

. Can anyone from The D confirm this, or at least know what Im talking about?

  • wow i miss these guys i grew up on wayburn in detroit with them , i learned how to play the drums from them thank you guys.......

  • Great memories, great times! I miss these guys.

Every time they played we were there to rock out and dance all night.

  • Too Cool!! I lived in Detroit in the early '90's and a friend of mine who went to school with Joey introduced me to the band - Every time they played we were there!!! I have this album and the album joey made as General Clusterfunk!! But DC Drive was the best!! I live in Florida now, but I still love to listen to the DC Drive cd and play it for all my friends. Oh how I wish they would get back together!!

  • Bella I am currently living in Ocala, FL and I was born and raised in Northern Detroit. I was wondering what CD you have and where I might be able to get a copy.

  • @barefootbella Me too barefootbella, it would give me a great reason to go out and dance to some awesome music.

  • joeys dad is Mark Farner from Grand Funk....he sounds just like him too!

  • These guys are my favorite band. There songs just get the best out of you. I'm 15 years old, my dad showed me them and there all I listen to. I know Micheal Romeo(The guitarist, GREAT GUY). ROCK ON ADRENALIN/ DC DRIVE!!!

  • That is SO awesome to hear that someone your age appreciates thier music! ...My g/f's and I spent our early twenty's following them all over town. We had to be at every gig! Such great memories that will never die. Thier CD is still one of my all time favorites.

  • Damn, What amaing memories all these videos have brought to light. These guys were the best of the very best and i truly miss the long nights partying with Joey, Al and the gang. I have to say that i never had much of a chance to party with Doug and the other brothers, but i will always remember how your music made me feel. If you said "DC Drive" was playing, all the girls were there! Great band! Happy memories, Now get back together!

  • Wow, finding this video just made my day!! I LOVED these guys back in the day and have some great pictures of Joey from the days he hung with the Masquerade bunch. It was truly a tragedy when these guys broke up, they had AWESOME chemistry and put together some amazing stuff. I would LOVE To see them back together, I think they still have the potential to make it big.

  • VERY cool. Brian, you look like you were enjoying yourself.

I wish the audio didn't fade so soon at the end.

  • These guys were great, awsome sound, too bad they broke up,anybody have any footage on "you need love like i do". joey, doug, romeo bros.,pastoria bros. your musical fusion is missed, you should have a reunion.

Now if I can only find a video for Doug Kahan's "The Last Stand" from the "ALL THE RIGHT MOVES" Soundtrack....

  • DC Drive was an awesome band! I was lucky enough to hang out with these guys. I remember when Doug use to play at Roger's Roost!! My favorite song was Long Way to Hollywood. Doug truly was the backbone of this band!!! Wish they would get back together

  • Well, since my dad was in the band, he was the sound guy and all these guys were in the wedding. They are family and there music is AMAZING. I wish the world could here it all!

  • Wonderfull Song. I Had The Pleasure Of Recording At Brian's Studio Last Winter.

The Whole Dc Drive Record Is Amazing, Great Stuff.

Joey Was A Splitting Image Of his Dad.

  • These are my boys, Doug Kahan is the base player and a huge backbone in this band, Man what I wouldn't give to be back in the bars of the 80's with these guys. Same Music Agent as Bob Segar

  • Cool song! First time hearing it and it stuck in my head!
