Vax V-125 All Terrain Carpet and Hard Floor Washer

maybe buying for my mother, does it leave the carpet dry after cleaning?

@mikerolt1 It removes most of the water from the carpet, so it's left only very slightly damp and is dry enough to walk on again within 1-2 hours, depending on how deep the carpet is, how warm the room is etc. Try leaving your windows and doors open to speed up drying times.

I'm trying to decide which Vax to get, I need something that can (in order of importance):

Wet clean hard floors, to replace the mop and bucket.

Get rid of pet hair.

Deep clean carpets.

Would this fit the bill for all of those? Obviously from watching the video I can see that it cleans both carpets and hard floors, but the focus is on carpet cleaning so I'm wondering if it's as good at cleaning hard floors as the dedicated V-120 Floormate, and also there's no mention of pet hair removal.

This was on sale on the Vax (UK) website for a REALLY good price a few months ago and I meant to buy it .. but now it's not even on the website at all, and the V-124A is now £329.99.. I sooo wish i'd brought the V-125 in the sale!!!! Oh well :-(

The V-125 and V-125A are identical machines, however the V-125A version is available through Argos and comes bundled with extra carpet and hard floor cleaning solutions.

My parents have just got the V-125A model and the manual is for the V-125 model as I don't think there is a manual for the V-125A as they are so similar. One difference I have found though is the SpinScrub Mode Selector on the V-125A has 3 settings - Carpet Terrain / Hard Terrain / Spill Pick-up. The manual just seems to have settings On or Off.

my carpet has got many stains from my puppy's wee. Does that carpet washer working on it?

When used with Vax Ultra and warm water the All Terrain is really good a shifting these sort of stains, although the results will also depend on how old the stain is, the colour of the carpet and the material it's made of. If the stain is very old and the carpet very pale, you may want to try treating it with a spot remover, such as Vax Spot & Stain, before you wash.

Ive just ordered one of these @ 50% off on the Vax website and am really looking forward to trying it- unfortunatly the carpets in my bedroom and hall were saturated by dirty smoky smelling water from a fire in the flat above me( I know it could have been MUCH worse!!!

Is it ok to use AAA solution in this as I have a few bottles left from my old 121 machine???

Oh and the Platinum collection washer looks amazing- if it ever makes it over here I may be tempted to upgrade!
