Yeah, people have a totally emotional response to "democracy". They also view it as a pancea. Hoppe's book it awsome and converted some republicans into anarchists. Look up Joe Sobran for a dramatic example.

I got to have lunch with Sobran once. What a wonderfull man, destroyed by political correctness. He's totally broke after all those years as editor and chief at National review he got canned for opposing PG1. I guess he read Hoppe and switched from conservative to anarchist (with a strong catholic leaning)

Hans-Hemann Hoppe had a few favorable words about democracy. Even wrote a book on the subject.

"Democracy: The God The Failed."

Great book. I just recently read it. It totally debunks democracy as a pro-liberty philosophy.

the only way you can get S. Carolina to secede is if you get the majority of S. Carolinians to agree and support secession.

scondly "constitutions" are based on Democratic agreements.

thirdly the second you "leave" you're going to end up joining with Some kind of society. and once that society settles the very first action it will commence is declaring its sovereignty with a new constitution that will have to drawn up and supported.. guess how.

a republic definately doses contain some democracy but that deomcracy can never act against the law of the republic.
