Another way of winning easily is just starting the race and shooting all 4 tyres of all cars and watchin them is funny. You can then also easily win as they wouldn't be able to catch up to you - even if you're in a SCOOTER.

when you come down a highway there's a ramp and all opponents drive to fast

to break enough so they all go down the ramp into the water,

then you can win the race without having opponents lol :p

@DARTeepoman123 thats because there are 9 race sections around the city, just go to your start menu and then go to scores and then scroll down and you will see your race wins. then go to the parts of the city that have 0 race wins. there are ONLY 9 single player races in those 9 locations on the score menu.

is my e5300 @ 2.6 ghz with 3 gb ram ddr2( one gb of 600 mhz and two gb of 800 mhz) with 9800 gt 512 mb is sufficient to play gta4 in decent graphics with out any lag? I want to buy card but having not so much budget. Just enouf to buy 9800 gt 512 mb ot hd 5670 1 gb or 9600 gt 1 gb .. But I live in Pakistan where temp is always hot.. Specially in summer room temp goes upto 35 degree celcius.... Which card is better? i know 9800 gt is better but its a boiling card...

@myl6006 If one of your ram sticks are running at 600mhz the other two will downgrade to 600mhz as well. Ati cards usually run cooler than nVidia cards and tend to be cheaper. I'd say go with a 5670, less heat, cheap and efficient. 9800GT and a 5670 are relatively close in performance. Although this game is not really well optimized for pc, so you still might get pretty crappy graphics especially since I read the game is heavily CPU dependent.
