Without Britain, if it had fallen, no US in the war against Germany, no supplies could get through to Russia, and commenwealth forces won North Africa, and fought in all theatres of operation other than the Eastern Front, and specifically the island hopping. Britain was in the war longest, and took much land, and only lost 200,000 men. That is Bloody Good work

@Dominikize Well sort of, but as soon an Montgonery was put in Charge of North Africa, Britain started to win, and did win, and then the US joined in at the end, god fucked up by Rommel, and then the British 8th Army had to save their arses. And that again is not quite true, 8th Army were one of the best divisions, so was XXX, and they were both British. Although a lot of the forces all together were from Britains Empire and Commonwealth, Britain did far more than the USA for example..

@SellosMusic idk the exact date. it was after the ghetto was built and almost immediately the inhabitants began to revolt. it started against infantry but soon tanks and atrillery was sent in and by the time the luftwaffe was done the only building left standing was a church within the ghetto. and for the record the us would a)never have a 3 front war due to location and b) they arent that dumb. also germany could have easily won WW2 if they played it smart.

@loxer101 germany had nothing to do with japan attacking pearl harbor and therefore nothing to do with us bombing them back. also the germans were so far behind in "nuclear warfare" that saying they invented it is bullshit. their heavy water plants were blown to bits by the british RAF and last i checked the us had and tested a nuke before anyone else, with the soviets close behind. germany does have some amazing weaponary though, personally i think the leopard II is better than any other tank.

@simonswesea it was called Liebstandarte Adolf hitler. It was Adolf Hitler's personal Bodyguard Regiment . Best of the best in german army. diffrent times difrent point of view. He served in russia and he was lucky to came home after 6 years being a prisoner. I went to a D-Day memorial for the veterans who were there. It was hot and muggy but the thing I remember most is that only a half-dozen people showed up and we were all grandsons of those who were actually there. None of the veterans themselves were able to go and it's probably a good thing considering the local schools no longer cover the war except in a generalized way. Here in Canada we say "Lest they forget" but it seems they already have forgotten.

@SellosMusic idk the exact date. it was after the ghetto was built and almost immediately the inhabitants began to revolt. it started against infantry but soon tanks and atrillery was sent in and by the time the luftwaffe was done the only building left standing was a church within the ghetto. and for the record the us would a)never have a 3 front war due to location and b) they arent that dumb. also germany could have easily won WW2 if they played it smart.

@loxer101 germany had nothing to do with japan attacking pearl harbor and therefore nothing to do with us bombing them back. also the germans were so far behind in "nuclear warfare" that saying they invented it is bullshit. their heavy water plants were blown to bits by the british RAF and last i checked the us had and tested a nuke before anyone else, with the soviets close behind. germany does have some amazing weaponary though, personally i think the leopard II is better than any other tank.

I don't say that the western front wasn't defined by harsh battles, but so was north Africa for example! (the point is that it wasn't even half as decisive as the eastern one) I know that many people hate Stalin and his regime, and a criminal like him does surely deserve it, but the true liberators of Europe WERE THE SOVIETS, and that is a fact! If you want to thank someone about the destruction of fascism and tyranny in Europe, that is the former USSR, not the USA!

Now, don't get me wrong, I don't support communism and I hate stalinism as a ideology, but the true holiday should be for the victory at Stalingrad! The D-day was nothing more than an American parade for international glory.

@Vict0r1984 The British, American and Canadian did a lot more than 5% of German Defeats,The Brits; from 1939 to 1945 through France to North Africa, 4 years of Air raid attacks on Berlin from the RAF. Not to mention the staggering loss of Luftwaffer Pilots from the RAF also. The British did a lot more than 5%. Before the involvment of the USSR against the Nazis it was Britain and France that held the majority percentage of German Force.

@HL5IHarrier not to mention that if hitler wasnt a dumbass the brits would be speaking german right now. did you know that when the luftwaffe started bombing london it was an accident? the bombers got loss and instead of a RAF airfield they hit a city. hitler saw how much this affected them that he ordered them to continue. if he just kept bombing the airfields, the RAF would have crumbled. oh, and france was captured in about two months or something like that, the british and french were raped.

@HL5IHarrier - Battle Of Britain was won by Polish, Czech and Slovakian pilots. So WE, Slavs from central Europe saved UK. Our soldiers were in Berlin(for ex. my greatgrandfather). Kids were fighting for Warsaw. KIDS.

@simonswesea it was called Liebstandarte Adolf hitler. It was Adolf Hitler's personal Bodyguard Regiment . Best of the best in german army. diffrent times difrent point of view. He served in russia and he was lucky to came home after 6 years being a prisoner. I respect all soldiers who fought in ww2 axis and ally...brave men.... because of my grandfather im also loike you in to the history and specially the ww2 area... sorry for before but i get angry when someone insults my relatives...
