when i was younger i had to parakeets one was a pretty blue polly and the other was kind sky blue named peter... polly was a female and peter of course male... they would always make kissy noises and seem to kiss and i would mock them then and they automattically turn the other way like they had been caught it was too cute...

The green parakeet is male because he has a blue cere and the blue parakeet is female because of the pink cere. Though some females can have brown cere's

@Vinir females get brown cere's when they r ready to mate and have eggs, they usually get white cere's after they have the amount of eggs they want, females get tan/brown/white/ or pale blue cere's not pink. i Breed them.

@Dwrwolves I have to admit, all I know is what I heard from other people. I just keep looking at the legs now, those of males seem to look more blue-ish while female ones more pink-ish. Beats me, I only took mine in 'cause they were invalid and no one would buy them.

@roseandmoo no, u cant tell what the blue one is, its just a baby, u can tell by the messy forhead, the bars r just starting to disapear, and u can tell its just a baby cause its really small, there isnt much of a difference between the sizes of males and females, i have a female thats bigger than the male, and besides pink,blue,or purple means male, not alot of budgies keep the pink after their first moult but if they do, its a male, i breed them, so i would know.

Blue one has pink nostrlls (nose, upper beak section)-->female, the other one has blue--->male.

The yellow and green is an English Budgie and the blue one is an Austrialian Budgie. English are the same as Aussies, just selective bred for size and fluffiness. English are also known as Exhibition Budgies.
