  • HOw much does this amp weigh?

  • @godgirlsguitars around 28 kg

  • @kicajovtroo alright i think i'm gonna buy a jcm900 then

  • Should i take the ma100h or the ma100c plz help

  • @TheMrspongebob1111 Depends on what u do -moving a 4x12 isn't exactly easy. But the MA50C I briefly had had a nasty case of tube rattle. The combos seem cheaply made and the wood isn't thick enough to hold weight, I would think.

  • @TheMrspongebob1111 if you have money take head + columne it's much better. But in this cash way better is used JCM 900 :)

  • @killernotquiter

I don't think you could plug headphones here, it has only speaker outputs, this is not a bedroom practice amp, you can make it sound good at low volumes but it sounds best loud :)

  • Would you suggest this amp for metal? Without the satchurator, of course. Thanks.

  • @amithabajan2

Hi there, I don't use Satchurator anymore, sold it. I use Digitech bad monkey in front of the amp, it's much better, overdriving preamp stage more and giving it tighter sound.

I think amp is suited for metal, but you need pedals for better sound.

  • @Nebulozny So you use the overdrive and a distortion pedal on the drive channel? Thanks.

  • @amithabajan2

I don't use distortion pedals anymore, overdrive is just fine, I set gain on the amp around 4 and just add a bit more from pedal.

  • @Nebulozny Okay, thanks.

  • can someone tell what exactly is a combo amp

is it some kind of box version of a valve head

like a transistor chape but with vavles

cause i need to learn more at the moment

  • @surferboy14lp

    Tried google.com ?

  • @Nebulozny ha ha

    very funny

sorry i just thought it would easier commenting on a video actually about! the amp!

  • @surferboy14lp

Sorry but I have those kind of questions in my work every day, I think it is easier to google some simple stuff, if you ask me about MA I will be glad to answer you.

    Cheers.

  • its a normal amp..instead of having a head and a cabinet u have both them together... lika what u see in this vid...

  • @theseriousgamer10001 i know that now

i just type it into google

i thought a combo amp was different to other amps with head and cabinet cause when i'v bought amps there never called them a combo amp so i thought they were different turns out i knew all a long hehe :P

  • @surferboy14lp

A combo amp is an amp where the head, the speaker, and the speaker cabinet are all combined in one package

  • @killernotquiter

No headphones jack on this amp.

  • @Nebulozny are you using the overdrive channel and boost with

    the Boss SD-1 pedal?

  • @Fender316316

This is on gain channel, with gain really low, SD-1 is in front of Satchurator, it just opens up with this kind of setup, sd-1 boosts satchurator to be exact.

  • Got mine for $791.00 today. So impressed with it.

  • That amp costs $899.00 at Musician's Friend right now.

  • this one or the ma50c?

  • Would this amp be enough for band practices and gigs? Even outdoors gigs?

  • @BowlingWithGrenades

Ok, 100 watts of tube power is a LOT , but for outdoors 2 speakers become weakness, 4x12 external cabinet and off you go.

  • @Nebulozny So you can connect this amp and a 4x12 cabinet?

  • @BowlingWithGrenades

Yeah, no problem with that, you can connect external cabs, 1x16ohm, 1x8ohm or even 2x16ohm cabinets.

When you use external cab, internal speakers are disconnected.

  • @Nebulozny So when connected to a cabinet, this amp functions as a amp head?

  • @BowlingWithGrenades

Yup, combo is just a head with speakers attached, works just the same.

  • @Nebulozny I've always thought they weren't compatible since I haven't seen a combo amp connected with a cabinet. But I guess you never stop learning?

  • @BowlingWithGrenades

Yup, combo is just an amp head with a big cabinet and speakers :)

  • @Nebulozny Where on this combo do you locate the output you're supposed to connect it to the cabinet with a cord?

  • @BowlingWithGrenades

It's on the back, i sugest you download manual from marshall website, it's all explained there in detail.

  • @Nebulozny That would be a good idea, will look for it

  • i like the amp

  • dude your amazing!!!

wicked sound, im looking at buying this amp, need it for gigs with my band and stuff, would you recommend it? thanks :D

  • @Sc0000tt

Well, I sure use it with my band ,lol.

BEWARE, this amp needs pedals to sound like this, either put it in front or better ,in effects loop, check out my other video with boss SD-1 set for clean boost , amazing tone.

Boss SD-1 is the killer here, maybe some EQ after and you are set for rock :)

  • @Nebulozny o ok thats cool. i got a boss me 50 :) and wicked thanks man

  • hey man,i have the same amp as you . when i use my pedals linked one to the other in the amp input it gives a very wierd sound, very crunchy...i dont know.

    can yuo help me please.

    thank you

  • @rodrigoconstantino

What pedals you use ? I haven't noticed anything strange when doing pedals with MA, i prefer to use distortions on gain channel set to just slight break up, but it work very good in clean channel too, but remember turn volume up man, it is a tube Marshall, it works only loud hehehe. Cheers!

  • @Nebulozny hey man, you're right, i went to the store and change it for a fender hot rod deluxe 40 watts.100 watts was just to much for me to play it in my room and i dont have to turn the volume so loud.anyways thanks

  • i have ur same setup but i have a rg and a carvin belair :] i get a sweeeeeeeeeeeeeettttttttttttttt paul gilbert sound! :DD

  • @JakeVidCo

100 watts of tube power will rock the gig man, and if it's not enough you can put clean boost pedal in front or effect loop and destroy the stage :)

  • do you find this amp has to bee too loud for a house environment to get a decent tone?

  • @FRIJJMONSTA

Well, tube amp, 100 watts, it is f**** loud, but there are solutions for that too. I completely changed my setup now, i use clean boost pedal in effects loop and it changed the amp completely. I sold all my distortion pedals.

With boost now i can have great tone on very low volumes, and can shake the house if I want too.

So yes, you can play it low but real Marshall character comes out at deafening volumes as always , thats why we play them :)

  • @SnakePitGuitar

My video is pedals on all the time, MA takes pedals amasingly good.

Cranbournemusic, has a video with amp only gain, and great sound quality too.

  • @Nebulozny which pedals are you using? I'm using the POD XT LIVE PreAmp by Line6 and have a Marshall MG100DFX (which isn't shitty at all if you have the right preAmp)

  • @Wallmersbacher

Gain pedals here are Boss SD-1 + Vox Satchurator, I hihgly recommend satchurator, but for that extra bite you just add overdrive pedal in front of it or equalizer....perfect!
