  • what edition of music do you use? if you're are not using the henle edition, the music is not how chopin played. also, put feeling into it. you're pretty good

  • Amazing !! Great ! = )

  • haha I tried learning this...pshhht lol

  • good!!!

  • and feelingless u dun have tt nice feeling tt u look like ur into this piece and its a bit too fast.........

  • Your left hand is REALLY off in timing. Beautiful piece however, from my favorite composer, and otherwise you played well.

  • The only thing that needs work is your recording quality and tuning your piano. Jeez, these comments can get so anal about interpretation sometimes, seriously holy s***. I mean, even Liszt himself did things different. Nowadays, politics just ruin the Classical community. I know how you feel.

    Great job anyways.

  • Waltzes (especially like this one) have an even 3/4 beat. I think yours is syncopated, which is usually heard in jazz waltz and Latin music.

  • Indeed. Well noticed.

  • Vary your rubato a little. Chopin rubato is keeping the LH in tempo whilst the RH changes - doing the same over and over again doesn't work and leads to a boring performance. And lighten your touch a bit!

  • its a good song try to play with dynamics and dont speed up and also make sure your counting its good though

  • The speeding up & slowing down is the style. But i do agree, the left hand should have the same count.

  • Umm...ever heard of the phrase "constructive criticism"? Your juvenile comments aren't helping anyone...

  • I don't care for constructiveness. I care for succinctness.

  • If the guy is just a student, he will eventually reach said "succinctness" through practice and hard work. Constructive criticism will help him learn to play better - and just ridiculing his technique, dismissing him as "terrible", will demoralise him. I shouldn't even have to argue the virtues of constructive criticism. And, honestly, if you think you can play this piece better, post a video of you doing so. And, if you CAN play better, give him some useful pointers to improve his technique.

  • i agree with you.

  • Dude, your playing is nice, but I guess this song does not have the "right" tempo, so it doesn't have to be that robot-like. And more emotion is required ;)

  • EEEE... im gonna puke soon... no one does interpretation lyk that

  • omg... your reading my brain , moreover you are reading future me's brain :D your so right no one interpret a CHOPİN piece like that. but if he could play his left hand a little lighter it would sound awesome for sure...

  • very good although, i played this piece when i was younger and had the same problem you have. You need to focus in your mind that chopin is not to be played loud. i used to bang the keys because i thought it sounded badass. Just keep the keyword elegant in your mind and i swear to you it will sound great!

  • Good :) I want to learn this one too, it's my favourite by Chopin

  • The left hand is *not* supposed to be banging. This is CHOPIN we're talking about, the definition of *delicacy*.

  • That's what my piano teacher told me :-p

  • WOW NICEEEEE!!! im practicing this song and it sounds really bad... :(

  • Excuse me its not a song, its a WALTZ

  • valse

  • Yes, it is a song you TARD

  • No, a song is a vocal composition

  • Oh, I looked it up and you're right :D

But still that guy shouldn't sound like such a know it all and TARD

  • You're right

  • Shut up

  • That was directed towards Ionarix, by the way. Not you, supercatz.

  • yeah, lonarix, be quiet!

  • How long have you been playing, NICEEE

  • dude you REALLY need to tune that piano...it does chopin and you no justice. But otherwise, i think you have a lot of skill.

  • not bad.

you're sitting too close to the piano, though. use your arm weight, not the weight of your fingers.

but overall, it's good. i noticed in one place that your eighth notes were uneven, keep a watch on those, but otherwise, great playing.

  • umm you should work on your let hand position, your wrist is popped out throughout the whole song. if you have in down, and rotate it while you play, it'll be more Comfortable and your hand wont be so tense.

  • man slow down and smell the flowers! you're rushing through this like it's some kind of etude...

  • it is supposed to be moderato - but about 1 crotchet = 150, so not too moderate - i'd play it a bit quicker than this.

  • nice very nice.

  • I've got the same problem with too loudly played left hand part;) work on it;)

  • Beautiful waltz! :)

  • beautiful

  • very beautiful

  • bien

  • mmmm...i think the left hand's too loud

    But Good!!

  • yea this is really good. I'm going to be playing this song in a contest and I'm just seeing how other people play it. This a wonderful =P

  • yeah.. the tempo's a little funny but it's still good.

  • You are good man! Keep it up . . . . .

  • Excellent!

Say, what brand piano do you own? Just curious.

  • Thanks. It's a German brand "Conober Cable."

  • Hm, interesting. Thanks for replying back!

  • o.O

    awesome dude!!

  • realy you don't respect the tempo very good...and you give some accents very funny:|I playd this song too when i was 13...

  • This is the best recording of this song i have heard so far. It sounds wonderful!!!!

  • Really awesome!

I am playing this one too, but for a little improvisation, try playing octaves in the last part. This makes it more attractive and you improve your orientation.

If I may recommend, your next step is... Etude on Black keys, F. Chopin. It is a very interesting etude, because that right hand plays all time black keys only. It IS a bit skillful, but with enough practice, I'am sure you will do it.

  • which etude is it??

  • Thank you for commenting on my Mazurka. I like your interpretation of this Waltz. I would like to upload my video for this waltz in the future too.

  • Very well played. I'm quite jealous, but would like the opportunity of learning this song. Do you buy your sheetmusic or do you know of a place where you can get these outstanding sheet music for free? I'm not exactly... rich? Many thanks. Keep on playing.

  • very nice, im learning this valse now too

  • Pretty awesome performance

    Thanks buddy

  • great!!!

  • Love the song!

  • this is also my favorite chopin piece. nice video!

  • This is my very favorite Chopin piece. You did a magnificent job. I'm trying to learn it, but it's really hard!

  • Well done dwe!!

    Amazing performance!!!

  • You really did play this well!!

  • Beautiful!

  • This is great! No.10 is my favorite waltz by Chopin. fantastic job!

  • Five stars video. As for Chopin, it seems good enough for me. A 9.5!

  • Good job, especially with the memory. Maybe as LVB1770 said, strive for a bit more dynamic range, but that may have been the recording. Keep up the good work!

  • Man, I wish my fingers were as long as yours!

A few suggestions. Tune and voice your piano.

I would shoot for some more dynamic range between left and right hands and over all to give the piece a bit my color and character but you sure play it like it's a piece of cake!

  • nice work!

  • Wonderful!!!!!

  • Awesome!
