  • Not a motorcycle fan but it's great what your guys are doing thanks for sharing

  • is it possible to restric the power if i modify the ecu or something like that?

  • haha my 08 R1 has 159 HP, with PCIII USB & stock exhaust with yoshi slip-ons, now I have full race Akrapovic system on it, it now has 168HP, standard jetting.

  • @MetlHead37 Weak result. Mine ex 07 R1 with Akrapovic EVO I, PC 3, KN had 178,8 RWHP and 112,5Nm. Now my new 09 R1 has 166 RWHP with 3/4 Akrapovic system, KN, PC V + AT200 and block offs on it. I have EU bike, not US (156 RWHP compared to approx. 146 RWHP for plane stock US model).

  • @mariderek nice, what is EVO I and AT200??

I'm only guessing my HP figures since I fit the Akrapovic system on it. It maybe more though.

Then again, different make and model dyno's have different HP results.

  • @MetlHead37 Evo I - Akrapovic Evolution I full exhaust system (long cans, evo 2 are shorter), AT-200 is Dynojet Auto Tune module (to fit the latest PC V) . As for RWHP results for diff bikes see factorypro site . Merry X-mas! :)

  • @mariderek ahh thanks for that dude, mine produced 159HP with just yoshi slip-ons, K&N filter + PCIII USB.. merry xmas to u 2

  • You did a burnout on the dyno, that's incredible power dude..

  • @psynchronist I don't understand how you only put out 151hp with those mods. My stock 07 gsxr 1000 did 169.3 and 73.7ft/lb

  • @kevincolvin cause the new R1's are low in power.

  • @13tommy1 Obviously. Then this means they're around 140hp stock

  • @kevincolvin Yamaha claims 146hp stock.

  • hey, only 151 rear wheel? stock it said 152 whp on yamaha r1 smack down shootout. but what stock whp thanks, i think ur dyno is not good as dynojet

  • @robertmike219

    3:12 take a good look

  • @GrapesOMFG oh i saw it dyno jet lol ;) thanks u bro, but i like my gsxr 1000 k8 and my k7 gsxr 750 ;)

  • @robertmike219 yamahas "claimed" hp rating is 146hp. So 152hp is off.

  • @robertmike219 that dyno IS a dynojet. Open your eyes.

  • What was the result of this tune? And do you have the EGR block off plates installed? I have the same setup but I have a BMC race filter also. Man I love the way these bikes sound

  • That is a bad ass bike :)

  • There is a dyno at the HD shop on spenard in Anchorage!!!

  • So what were your final settings? Dynojet included slipon Ak with no Y Pipe or aftermarket airfilter. I run The Slip ons with a K&N and plan on getting the Y pipe. Dont know of a dyno in Alaska. :)

  • dreamtime - if only the missus would let me have one....

  • Just had my 2010 R1 tuned for 161.6rwhp & 78.8 FtLb

    Akrapovic slip-ons + Y-pipe + GYTR air filter + PCV

  • Automan610, it's not software, I used my finger on the camera mic :) That seems to filter out most of the high frequencies.

  • what software did you use for the "noise filter"?

  • I would have been like WTF man too. Nice numbers.

  • @m001316

I really don't know - I think there are some restrictions in the ECU and you can upgrade that to the European version to get more HP but the process of changing it means replacing the wiring harness which is a fairly big job.

155hp is still really good though. It would have been interesting to know how many hp you had prior to the mods; maybe you could dyno test a friend's stock R1 on the same dyno. Also diff dynos produce diff #s. But if its running smooth and strong - no worries.

  • @psynchronist : I wish I had dyno it before I had all the parts installed before the tune it was 150 after 155 yes the bike is amazing smooth out of corners pulls so hard. I did race a 2009 1000rr Honda with the same mods from 80 KM to top speed I was about 2 bikes in front all the way my take off was the advantage. appreciate your help am going to do some searching.

  • Take a look at my bike, it's on a friends page. " 2009 YZF R1 Custom MotoGP Exhaust DeBaffled.mp4 " The muffler on the bike was the first one i made, 163.4 rwh. The new one,( little different ) 165rwh. Sound, looks, performance and price are very attractive. For more info, message me.

  • haha, na there the ones i was talking about!! yeah i think i've made my mind up!! just need the cash im selling my old bike 1st then the exhaust!!

  • sounds/looks sick, im thinking of getting a akrapovic slip on for my 2010 yamaha R1.. what do you think?? did you get the carbonfiber heat shield??

  • @hakurenR6 Thanks dude - I say go for it. They provide a great look and throaty sound plus the quality of these pipes are second to none. You might also want to consider the Y-Pipe which eliminates the catalytic converter so that it flows better (but then a power commander with dyno time would also be a good idea).

The pipes already come with two carbon fiber heat shields which mount right before the cans - what heat shield are you referring to? Is there another accessory I'm not aware of?

  • @hakurenR6 I hope you got them cause that was I have on my bike and they are amazing in looks, quality and sound.

  • sounds good
