Out of all the contestants to ever come on this show, I've bought 1 CD... that CD was "Farmer's Daughter" by Crystal Bowersox and I really enjoy it.
@angusy27 Amen. My wife and I have watched since season 1 as well and Crystal's is the only CD we've bought. Haley's will be our second purchase. Three years in a row my favorite has lost with Adam, Crystal and Haley (Clay was my favorite in season 2, as well).
@BuddhaMeFree - I liked James this season but yeah, Adam, Crystal and Clay were other favs that didn't win. The four of them have such raw natural talent. I love Crystal's "Farmer's Daughter".

She is the real deal! She fought for her new album to be HER way and it is, she is already out of her contract with AI in record time, the new album is a hit, I like every song on it, Speak Now and Hold On are two of my favorites. People Get Ready shoulda sealed the win for her but the little girls with their cell phones made sure the pretty boy Lee won, very sad but it all worked out great in the long run. Now we can look at album sales and see who the real winner was. Rock on Mamasox :)
I love Crystal Bowersox and I don't get why season 9 had lower ratings and didn't due as good as past seasons. I mean did people love Paula Abdul that much? I mean I know there some of the contestants were bland bet there was Siobhan Magnus, Lilly Scott, And for god sakes Crystal Bowersox. People just don't appreciate good skills and talents.
Love how she comes out with a song with all vocals at the beginning. Totally owned this performance. That's all her voice covered up by nothing at the beginning. Doesn't need any music or backup singers to cover her up....could carry the whole song on her own.

Actually, this song was written by and sung by Curtis Mayfield and the Impressions back in 1960s. This song was a culmination of the group's background in church! But Crystal "killed" this song. I just love her!

Crystal Bowersox should go on the cover of Rolling Stone! Last year, Adam Lambert was featured & this year Idol had an even more horrific outcome! Rolling Stone has featured music over the decades, of course Janis graced the cover; CRYSTAL IS THE BEST SINGER ON EARTH SINCE JANIS! Rolling Stone definitely should feature this amazing beautiful artist; what a fantastic article o hard upbringing, young mother, started early, amazing voice amazing songwriter, played on subway stations etc etc!!!!!

It is clear Crystal should have won American Idol! Although Lee had good talent , it is clear the producers and even the judges were guided to pick a guy as a winner. Come on it was down to four guys and two women at one point. Crsytal is the winner in my eyes. Incredible talent ,heart, and soul!

hey crystal was awesome, and i love her doing this song.
however, one of the reasons i think lee was more deserving was because he actually grew on the show, which means he will grow in the future too. i'm glad he won, he wanted it so badly.

OK guys get real. The "people Get Ready" performance was her last great one until the final night. If Casey had better, more upbeat songs on his final night, she would have been voted off. "People Get Ready" was really good & that's what got her second place.

I knew it would be a close contest & I voted for Lee. Crystal did give him a fight, but I think the best of the two won.
I like Crystal to & I know she will get a recording contract. She has a great voice & will probably have a number one single in the next 18 months.

congrats on your favorite winning, but look at what everyone is saying. in your opinion the best won, but to the majority the best did not win. crystals great performances were so much better than anyone elses best performances it's not even funny. go back and watch her performance of "people get ready". THAT WAS THE BEST. instead of hearing that awesome song that she was gonna put out... we get to hear a karaoke version of a U2 song. face it, lee got the underdog/teen/girl/casey vote.
