Yuck! Tragic. Feminazism has just gone too far. I am repulsed by these women. What happened to feminine women who are there for their man, who makes food, cleans, and cares for their man?
Yes. Three times exactly plus the special features. I would not comment on something so intently had I not known the material. Although I do regret not posting that I did miss the one woman who had straight hair...all in all I appreciated the film for what it did for me, and I apologize for not saying anything positive about it. I guess that I just realized that even watching the film on mute, the visual was only one type of black lesbian and just like the one woman said, we all like to be able
we should be okay with accepting all types, not just afrocentric types. If I look like the girl in the video or what have you, that doesnt mean that thats who I am! We of all ppl should know that ! Yes, mainstream media has created a negative view of the sexualized lesbian porn star type image with nails makeup and sexy clothes, but just because its negative in one regard that doesnt mean that we cant be sexy just b/c we want to reject that stereotype! we can be and look however. im beyond sad
are not Black enough or not comfortable with our being black. I do not understand why someone who looked like me, someone who IS lightskin with longer, relaxed hair Americanized clothing was not featured nor acknowledged in the film. Whenever the topic of a person like me came up it was always negative, and it made me feel bad to think that just b/c I appear to be a stereotypical, lipstick lesbian likes to wear stilettos, etc, that I am not a REAL, pure intentioned and confident black lesbian
Although the documentary had good intentions by showing only natural black women, I was very disappointed and let down ! I do not fit as the afrocentric/natural type, and never would I. But that doesnt mean that we should be excluded from one of the ONLY recent documentaries on black lesbians.
Its not that I don't feel that I am beautiful with my natural hair, etc, but some black women simply prefer the relaxed look or weaves for convenience or just the feel of it. That doesnt mean that we...
This looks like it's going to be a fabulous movie, that I'm hoping I can help to promote at my university. Thanks for sharing your work with us Tiona! :-)
It's amazing how most of those afriKan lesbians are natural... Girls, could you tell your straight sistah how to go natural too, we afriKan men need it, tired of those fake long hair full of sodium, lol.

To see our reflections represented . I just felt a disconnect with the type that was shown. The dialogue was great though ! :)
