  • this guy is superb... first saw him in Oxford in the late 80's early 90'2, he was, and still is, brilliant........ does anyone know where I can get a copy of the fantastic Purple Electric Violin Concerto?, had it on tape(yes, tape) many years ago and wondered if it is now available on CD..?

  • OK OK people this is a rhcp cover. this dude covered rhcp, the cd which contains this particular song is a covers album with only covers.

  • @wrtausy agreed, it does sound like it O.O

  • Superb - he can certainly make the Violin talk! I would love to see him busking live. I did see a Saxophonist do similar in Bath over Christmas, but nothing like this.

  • on jest ZAJEBISTY!!!!!!!

  • IMPRESIONANTE

  • Music at it's best.

  • Inspiráló, értékelem az ilyet:D

  • I was wandering through york on my second visit there today and watched him play live. I couldn't help but buy his album Symphony. He asked me why a 13 year old would be interested in an electric violin played by an old man which made me sad because not many kids my age appreciate good music anymore =[ Brilliant musician xxxx

  • Ed's great, he must be one of the best musicians ever. I'm so lucky to live in york, i think i have all his albums-signed, one time he signed my t-shirt, i was a bit worried when my gf wanted him to sign her boob, but i still think he's amazing.

  • they're out there dude

  • @skulblakaandproud

It's great to hear that there are still some young people with common sense :)

The whole world has gone crazy with the people in it.

Thanx for making me smile :)

  • @skulblakaandproud I think he was asking you that in the form of a metaphor, I hope you answered him correctly.

  • Just glorious.... It helps me to clear my head.

One day I'll get my 5-string and loop pedal. Then I can emulate this awesome man. :)

  • he plays in york

  • amazing stuff

  • At times like this I hate England! It's too far away :)! I want to live there! British culture, Celtic culture, Ireland, Scotland, old and modern, they're all sooooo cool, it can't be described! :)

  • haha yea as long as you can put up with the cold you'll do just fine to come here...but when you can listen to stuff like this live just by being in the right place it's brilliant...i was just wandering through york when i first heard him...was just magical.

  • nice...too bad i don't a sound system to hear it better :P

  • incredible...

  • Beautiful

  • I can't describe how much emotion I feel when I listen to this song...it's overwhelming.

I play violin, and once I get better I'm going to start on electric violin. I'm trying to learn this song and it's really hard, but that just makes me want to learn it better! I live in Canada, and once I turn thirteen I can start busking! <3

ILY Ed. You brought so much happiness to me when I was sad. :)

  • Every melody he plays is akin to wizardry. I love and hate this man, for making the most exquisite music, surpassing beauty. But I hate him, because the other 70 gigabytes on my Ipod seem somehow diminished, even my favorites pale in comparison. Damn you maven of melody!

Seriously though, rock on. Have my babies.

  • bruv your only 12!

keep up the violin and you'll get good trust practise 2 hours a day and in no time u be like this dude

    sik!

  • I want this song played at my funeral.

  • Thats deep man.

  • That's about the best respect that you can give to a song/artist. I agree, I'd love to have this song played during my funneral as well, but want to listen to it while I'm still alive! Over and over and over again.

    Beautiful.

  • I couldn't agree more... what an honor to have this played at my funeral and yours as well... and that is showing some major respect... thank you I know that artists appreciate it

  • @RoninLawyer panagitsa m padaki mou..ftou kaka

  • @RoninLawyer

    hahahahah me too!!!

  • I'd like to live in England for a year or two. America isn't that bad though. In a way, it's kinda exotic. I can't explain that though. Our Location maybe, the america's are awesome. I just wish there was a big time player in world politics down in South America.

Lol. Nobody in the world ('cept the Brits and a few random people like me.) even know what York is. Everyone in the world knows what New York is though, lol. We just stole all of our cities from England, France, and Mexico/Spain. lol.

  • I live in York :) I work in the Town centre where all the shops are. You can buy this guys album at HMV there :) Love to hear him busk!

  • Uhhmmmm well americans are europeans that set sail for the new continent of america anyway.... it only makes sense then that there are cities named after european ones? Of course in the course of time differences in the way of life, culture, ideals etc. started appearing. Or maybe Im hullucinating :)

  • not being rude here but it was wen the colonised america way back that they named it, newyork was actualy named something ducth b4 the brits kicked em out. obvioulsy not all the towns or states but like louisiana was french i thing so is new orleans, ohio wa nglish and so was georgetown obviously.

but you guys kicked us brits out fair and square. trust me its nive in england, london is pretty mad!

  • Ohio was primarily settled by the French originally. Limited and sparse settlement, but French nonetheless, hence towns like Masillon and Bellefontaine. New Sweden--Connecticut, New Amsterdam--New York, New Spain--Florida, etc. The British did most of the pre-revolutionary kicking out. Then the Americans went crazy with it. Yay manifest destiny? But lovely music. ^.^ Love this man so hard!

  • thanks teamlock - went to York today to hear Ed play, he wasn't there :(

  • - waited around from 12 - 2, a friend saw him at about 2.20 (just my luck!!)

  • you guys are lucky, i dont like in england!!! i live here in california, sucks i want to see him perform
