Oh my gosh haha. "Then why do they wish to molest you" OMG Blessington's face when Holmes says that....it could almost be made out as sexual!!! Pahaha
@macolleague Actually, Jeremy Brett auditioned for the Bond role and lost out twice. I myself am kind of glad he didn't get the part. If he did, he wouldn't have played Sherlock Holmes, and think what we would have missed out on!
Hehe, I know very well that "molest" at that time held it's original meaning of "bothering, pestering", but I still giggle when Holmes says those burglars want to molest Blessington. Immature, I know.
Holmes got a lot of his results by many a devious way, that a police man nor a normal official detective would not dare use. Faking illness is one of his specialties, and catalepsy is most suited when he'd want to buy some time or turn attention away from himself.
Vo-odka))) He says it so proudly! And every day, yes sir, rest assured! This stereotypes are actually very amusing, not annoying (I'm proud to be Russian myself, and I don't happen to drink at all ;))...
The Blessington actor isn't very good. The way he says, "I always leave my galoshes at the front door," for example -- LOL!

"And, of course, catalepsy is a very easy complaint to imitate..."
"Yes, I know. I've done it myself."
Words cannot describe how much I laughed at this statement. There are still tears in my eyes. Jeremy, you are SUPERB!!!!!!!!!!!

Mr. Brett looks every bit like 007 at 8:18...pity he was never given the role of James Bond; he'd have been splendid.

Doyle also used the word "ejaculate" allot, obviously not as we use it today =P

@KingofStarfox I just watched it, I totally get it now. He sounded so serious when he asked that question that I had to burst out in laughter.

H: "Yes I know, I've done it myself!"
I don't know why, but that bit strikes me as funny. Perhaps it's 'cause Holmes is trying to show Watson he knows something of medicine, too.

Holmes know lots of things from medicine that watson don´t know.

I agree. Holmes range of knowledge probably is more in the forensics field.

I always thought the term "molest" was a strange word Holmes used when speaking to Mr. Blessington,

Heh, traditionally "molest" just means "bother." ;D
