  • Nice playing, but why use tremolo? It's like all the beauty that's associated with this piece is no longer there.

  • so have big eyes with love inside

  • Esse maestro é excelente.

  • The new Advertisement ruins the song

  • dude insanly good =D im a guitar player myself nd this is far by amazing

  • Fantastic...played with passion and soul! it's always great to hear music form those who can play it rather from critics who cannot -Enjoyed!

  • Why ,why,why.... Are you people tone deaf ?(i'm talking about the thumbs up brigade) This is an absolute insult to the memory of Schubert. To have a try ,yes ,why not. To use the nomenclature" Maestro Jerard ",well,Hubris? you decide.

  • Fair go! I think he does it beautifully! regardless if it is still incorrect, it still puts my mind at ease from tribulation!

  • Great video I like, the music is free and joining the world of beauty that unites us for the good of us all around the world

  • this is like a tiroler version of a great version, this is bad.... you may be a good guitar player, but please do not ever again play ave maria this way...

  • Absolutely beautiful, how long have you been playing for and how many hours a day do you practice

  • bad for the ears version

  • Excellent classical guitar! I just posted a video of Ave Maria sung beautifully as a prelude for a church wedding.

  • 17 putos segundos de mierda, DEJEN ESA MALPARIDA COSTUMBRE DE PONER MUCHAS MIERDAS EL INICIO DE UN VIDEO, PÓNGAN SUS CAGÁS AL FINAL.

  • ave ave Maria!

  • Maestro?

  • terrible

  • THIS MAN IS FLYING THROUGH THE AIR

  • ;(

  • no, no, no! ouch, my ears! they're bleeding!

  • terrible... stop it please.... stop it.....

  • Well, I didn't like that at all, too fussy for me, the tune was lost in all that fiddly crap (speaking as a non player of course !)

  • @cashman156 I agree. I even lost track of where he was at for quite a while.

  • guitarists! pls check my video

  • Horse shit!

I am a musician....not classic guitar, but that "arrangement" sucks....big time.

That melody was never meant to be played like that..

What kind of ass clown would play that like that?

    Holy Toledo Shit!

  • maestro my ass

  • I aggree, tremelo not great, and distracts from the beautiful melody

  • yes... the tremolo is terrible! my 13 jeahrs old brother has a better tremolo!!

    Emmanuel Rossfelder is much better...

  • maestro? galoppano meno cavalli in una prateria...

  • maestro?

  • Check out Ave Maria by Michael Lucarelli, I think the artwork

Coming out of his guitar will say it all.

  • watch?v=v37pysC8AV0

  • I can play this better. No exaggeration.

  • very nice

  • @twangbarfly You could be right with your inference that Rossfelder may not be a "real maestro" so I am very interested to see which classical guitarists you would place above him.

  • @Desigovia Too many to list here, but virtually every decent classical guitarist that I have heard, starting from Segovia and Maria Luisa Anido and working forward. There are very many of them, and although this is more subjective than my curt reply suggests, as you quite rightly infer, Rossfelder doesn't even get anywhere near the bottom of a list of classical guitarists that I would choose to spend time listening to.

  • He destroyed my ears... ugly execution... watch tim allan playing this song on the banjo and you will be amazed...

  • That was ugly....

  • i just noticed he isn't extremely good, but otherwise he does a great job playing, that's enough for me

  • maestro in spanish means teacher and he seems knowledgeable enough to be that you friggin haters. he's only playing two melodies at once on the guitar? yeah I guess he must be a beginner. BTW that was irony for some of you who wont get it.

  • Kyle Gass, your classical training never ceases to amaze me

  • Kyle Gass, your classical training never ceases to amaze me

  • hahaha this is awsome

  • @gentlerhino I think why he is receiving so much negative feedback is that he calls himself "Maestro." Even the greats like David Russell, John Williams, Aniello Dessiderio, Emmanuel Rossfelder, Per Olav Kindgren, Stepan Rak and many others are not that presumptuous as to attach such a label to themselves. He has unwittingly attached a target to himself and (rightly or wrongly, respectfully or otherwise) is attracting unfriendly fire towards himself.

  • Why this is not complete?

  • @expressmalta this is not complete because he cannot play the remaining part since it is harder.

  • Maestro my ass.

  • I'm sure the 20 seconds of noiseless intro were necessary.

  • i can't even do that tremolo thing. i'd be grateful if i could. Let's not forget that youtube is for beginners, intermediate and professionals. So stop criticizing other's upload especially if the person just wanna show his skills or talent. To mr jerard, you're still better than many guitar players, and many people would still find your skill impressive.

  • double rainbow, all the way! honestly, idc if what hes doing is really hard to play or not, it doesnt sound very good.

  • bloody hell~

  • @azphael In replacement of tremolo he uses more strings... I prefer tremolo though, sounds better. Personal opinion.

  • He can fly. How is he not a maestro?

  • Nicht sauber gespielt!

  • This is incredibly hard to do linking the picking to a melody like that, so unless you can do it better stop talking shit

  • @TheConquistor Hi there! To whom are you directing your comment?

  • Hardly a Maestro

  • j'adore

  • 0:18 when the music actually starts.

  • I agree with Hansley270 and Azphael that Emmanuel Rosssfelder has a much superior version of this work. Cacho Tirao who Mr Kimu refers to also has a very good version. I would like to throw in German Arnholt's rendition as being up there with the best also.

  • Sounds like you play the guitar underwater, with bubbles making the bubbling like sound

  • this guy is not too good....compare to others playing the same tune.....poser

  • @nik1954 I agree

  • when you know how to play guitar, than u know that you can play like this, thanks and it really nice:)

  • i want whatever he is smoking...man hes flying

  • friedrich guitar ?

  • i like the piano and violin version better!! but this was still amazing...the piano and violin version just enlightens my soul that may seem corny but its true:)

  • Very nice ! (TS)

  • Bravo et merci !!!

  • Super tremolo :)

  • nice playing ;)

  • Classical guitar vids in my channel ;)

  • Terrible tremolo and unsympathetic arrangement which neglects any sense of musicality coming from the flowing melody which was always Schubert's genius. Get some pumping nylon exercises done on your tremolo.

  • @18heathy81

I agree. It's pretty sound, but it's not really coordinated with the melody. And the intro to the video is pretty annoying. I don't need to wait ten extra seconds, kay?

  • @18heathy81 get some pumping respect and some education jackass

  • super

  • just some happy trees in the background here... :)

  • It is beautifull in guitar

  • excellant version

  • ~ so beautiful... thanks!

  • ahh that is like my dream guitar that i can't seem to find ANYwhere!

  • im pretty sure i had sex with this guy

  • its not flamenco tremolo!!

flamenco tremolo its with 5 notes and clasic tremolo its with 4

    this is classical tremolo =)

  • what version is this with the tremolo????

  • @lobosolorzano It's a flamenco technique, I think. If you google for "flamenco tremolo", you'll get matches.

  • Listen to Emmanuel Rossfelder version... Really Great!!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • I would love to hear John Williams play this tune, he has great tremolo technique.

XD

  • LOL background, but wow your good!

  • lmao... green-screen scenery.. but it's beautiful music.

  • very nice, how can I stop from biting my fingernails off?

  • Wow - I wish I could play it that way! Really great job!

  • please post the tabs..

  • @stili80 it was not his intention to be serious

    everyone nows that.. dummkopf

  • @barden1069 ..... YOU THINK

  • @barden1069 This is not fake. .. I can play that on guitar and it's not fake. Take your spam elsewhere.

  • @AutomaticAwesome So he can really fly through the mountains? Read the comment before you reply

  • @barden1069 HES NOT FLYING TROUGH MOUNTAINS, HES SITING ON A CHAIR AND FLYING THROUGH MOUNTAINS

  • @darroni123 DOLLLLLLLLLLLL yes he is!!!

  • @barden1069 xD lol You missed the point of this video.

  • hahaha best background ever :P

  • hahaha lamest background ever :P

  • Este calvo queda pequeño comparado a Emmanuel Rossfelder o Cacho Tirao..

    Bouuuh =P

  • Hmm.. don't know if it's just me, but this just sounds sketchy? as in it's not fluid enough. Maybe because it's not suitable to be played this way?

  • thats because this is a staccato version...the original Ave Maria is a vocal piece so its kinda legato...because it was a Renaissance piece, and during the Renaissance, it was mainly Gregorian style chanting or current day choir technique

  • Wow, thanks for the revelation! U must be a music whiz to know that!

    Sincerely thanks.

So, I guess it truly is just me. :p I.e. i'd prefer the legato version. But of course, no denying that this fella is good at his technique and version. I can't do that at all!

  • yeah im not all to a whiz.....about music its just i need to perform this at a choir meeting....i have to pull off tenor, baritone, bass, and *laughs* what i call mezzoalto....yeah i had some studying done about this when i took a course in latin cultures and European History....yeah.....like i said....the piece was not meant for instumental but for vocals, where notes are mainly blended...string instruments are somewhat lazy on the legato if u know what i mean...except the harp...me luvz harpz

  • String instruments aren't 'lazy on the legato' (a semantically masterful way of phrasing that idea). Have you ever heard a violin or cello play? Not so lazy, huh?

  • well thats true but what i meant to say is that string instuments that utilize percussion forms of input to give off sound such as piano hammers and fingers for most types of guitars.....and i realize that pianos and guitars can perform pieces of music that are legato but...when u really think about it....the true identity is just a staccato piece with quick transtions.....i see what u mean about violins because they dont actually use percussion techniques...rater, they scoop the sound the make.

  • on that last pint i meant to say "rather"

  • and btw you were right that its not suitable in the first place....just tryin to shed more light for people who don't understand the choppiness of the song or just don't know some musical terms.....sorry for the spam commenting

  • Lindo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • your are a master thank you for this great improvisation please look this crazy boy give please stars for him he playing turkisch guitarr with tapping in flamenco style /watch?v=iLC1W3mGJys&feature=related

  • fantastic playing and nice background

  • I think this would be a good song played on a Mandolin

  • Ave MARIA Gracia plena

  • I like the song very much and also how you play it woderfully. Ok ?!

  • guess the arpegiation didnt appeal to me so much...the melody didnt seem to flow very well

  • An inspiring performance!

    Bravo!

  • How well you play and how pretty the song is !

  • one word. awesome.

  • he can play good

  • WONDERFUL TREMOLO

  • SUPER!

  • Just a short technical comment. I noted there wasn't a lot of movement in your right hand when doing the tremolo as there often is when others do it. You have great right hand technique.

  • i love the ridiculous background lol

  • love Schuhert !

thank you for the emotion you feel !

  • Comment removed
