  • Rob Zombie's Halloween is pure sh*t. People watch the originals

  • i decided to watch the remake to see if it was bad like a lot of people said but it was suprisingly good i dont see whats so bad about it

  • @3:43 Nice reference to Trejo. "The old guy in....um... what's his name; he's in all of Rodriguez's films." I'm sure Zombie would've much rather made his own slasher franchise but money talks and there was no way anybody would ever back up a truck full of cash on Zombie's doorstep for him to do that. This is backed up by Myers being a long-haired 7'9" dirtbag instead of the ordinary average psychopath he's always been and in the sequel being reduced to being a roving bum.

  • u look like the boyfriend who get killed when hes getting a beer for his girlfreind

  • I strongly agree with you. He butchered the name of Halloween worse that little Michael butchered his older sister. The only movie that I can think is worse than that movie is Rob Zombie's "original sequel". (I have to say I was satisfied with Scout Compton's performance as Laurie though, but that is IT.)

  • Michael's to big in this movie he's almost as big as the freaking hulk

  • they got uncut

  • Rob Zombie made two solid original horror movies but went too far with this remake.

  • i liked it it was way better than all these other stupid remakes there making like friday the 13th tht sucked , zombie does good things with horror , his ideas are soo visonary and understanding wcich makes it interesting

  • ur exactly right it sucked ass

  • i loved the remake! im excited cuz rob is makeing H2. if you have not seen rob zombies remake then watch it its awsome!

  • i totally agree with you on the remake it was garbage

  • I so agree with the review though. I hated the remake so much.

  • I fucking hate Rob's fucking remake.

  • I loved it to tell the truth.

  • I hated this film,too.Good video.

  • U r right.

Ps. Micheal looked like a girly man

  • and malcolm mcdowell was great

  • ill agree it was a little to predictable but i mean the guy cant make an exact remake of this movie that would be horrible. he did spice it up to it was good except teh 50 million sex scenes. and jesus where are you from where movie tickets are 18 bucks a movie?

  • I think the reason it wasn't as good as it could have been is because it wasn't as violent or whatever. but I heard Rob was making a 2nd one and If you like Robs movies I think it will be waaayy better because Rob is writing it and making it all so different and he just couldn't do everything he wanted to do on Halloween but now he can so we'll see.

  • The first half of the movie destroyed the entire point of Micheal Myers, and the second half was a half assed shot for shot of the original. The remake was god awful.

  • 1978

  • danny trejo

  • fuck michale myers rob zombie made me hate halloween anyway i always thought friday the 13th was better than halloween

  • No way.

  • your fuckin right dude

  • Big talk for someone who can't fucking spell!

  • great review man, RZs remke was 50.50 ? it was gud 2 c Michael Myers on the big screen again tho .

  • Comment removed

  • ok hey first off im not pissed off about your at all i mean ur entiteled to your opinion....... ok pleaz read my whole comment.......... any way sobasically wat ur saying is that you wanted to pay how much... 18 bucks to see the same movie NO u didnt did ok now i want u to watch jawooshs review on because i think it will open ur eyes to this.... PLEAZ WATCH JAWOOSH HALLOWEEN REVIEW k

  • im gonna see this movie in about one hour.. but apparently it sucks ass .. so maybe i shouldnt,,but even tho everyone says it sucks, im still curious about it.. some guy said this movie actually made him feel sorry for Michael.. isnt he suppose to scare us? ^^

  • hey it was ok but the only part i liked is when laurie finally came into the story the childhood thing was sad and kind of stupid but the trailers always make the movies look better than they usually are GOD i hope the friday the 13th remake will be good

  • i ama nerd so nerdy that i crap my pants all the time i am retarded and crappy der der crap i am retarded ha ha

  • It wasnt that bad all of u r just exxagerating ya i agree it coulda been better...but tha truth is that everytime a classic movie is remade 95% of the time ppl r gonna hate on it...and not just because it actually sucks but because they dont want change they feel that nothing can top the original which may most of the time b true but sometimes ppl just feel that a classic shouldnt b touched and thats the truth

  • No, he's right. Rob Zombie's remake was beyond terrible. It's so bad. It's badly acted. It's horribly shot. Lets be honest, the shaky camera does not fit with the atmosphere of the film. The acting is terrible. The only great scene in the film was the last 2 seconds.

    Seriously, bad, bad, bad movie.

  • @slayerette86m Movies are subjective, no movie is actually good or bad.

  • @TheeOneWhoTalks You're 100% correct. However, that's a bullet proof argument that doesn't really do anything. At the end of the day, I think we can look at something and say what's bad and what isn't. I have extensive film knowledge, so I like to think I'm making an informed opinion. I honestly believe this movie is just downright terrible.

  • @slayerette86m it was WAY to bloody and what was up with that language! it's just so vulgar!

  • from the viewpoint of someone who hasent really seen the orginals, i thought i t was amazing. But this video convinced me to check out oringinal

  • he wanted to make kinda like a prequal and show more or micheals past.

  • yeah right. you know what they say-any review is a good reveiw as long as they spell the name right. its spelled R O B Z O M B I E .

  • i kind of liked the new dr loomis

but yea i was expecting more from rob zombie

but I still sort of liked the movie, besides the fact that the whole film was FILLED with NUDITY and LANGUAGE, GOD CAN NO ONE MAKE A SCARY MOVIE WITHOUT THOSE TWO THINGS IN IT, OR AT THE LEAST HAVE ONLY A REASONABLE amount.

I'm taking a stand now, I'm going to be doing a sequel of my previous horror film The Masked Murderer (which didnt turn out very good) and I'll show everyone what horror REALLY is.

  • so what? your gay?

  • not at all

I'm just sayin is it possible for someone to make a horror movie that doesn't have language in every single sentence, and nudity every ten minutes.

but again not that i dispise the features of a womans body or anything. so please dont get me wrong on that.

  • It was really dissapointing

  • i agree man, rob totally destroyed a classic and i was looking foward to it for the longest time and i walked out of it just stunned and pissed that it sucked, all zombie did was up the blood the sex and the swearing, but im looking forward to friday the 13th remake. even though michael myers is my favorite

  • I agree!!!!!!!!!

  • It could've been better. But it was a good movie. The original is THE BEST MOVIE. And by the way. The New Sam Loomis was awesome. He did such a good job. Listen dude..don't do anymore reviews. Opinions are like assholes and everybody has one. Sorry.

  • ok you jackass you didnt watch the movie because he was phycotic before his dads abuse he killed defensles animals which in real life is the first sign of a serial killer ps nice fettie pjs jr you still live with momie you nerdy peweeherman acting duchebag

  • you are a fuking nerdy girly man hiding under a blanket to shot a video and were suposed to take your word for it well fuck you, you were a waste of my time when you can back up your review you can email me back the zombie remake was awsome and made it realistic and not another jason type slasher flick filled with titties and stupid teenagers like most of the originals were

  • I am a die hard fan of the original halloween. But I have to say Rob Zombie was not out to do a remake of halloween. If you stop thinking of it as a remake and just a horror film it's actually really good. As far as remakes go, they can never hold up to the original.

  • Got free tickets for it. Still a waste of my time. Leave classics alone.

  • Yeah I have to agree, I was pissed when I spent my money on this movie. They need to leave the classics alone

  • i agree completely

  • how could you or any1 else make it better!?!

no one could do it any better than the 1978 classic fuck you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I know for a fact I could make a better movie than most of the so called good directors writers that plague hollywood with bullshit lol.

  • dude independent moves are so much better. that was my point. Hollywood has become too relient on cg & other stuff so that they don't have to worry about making them good anymore, & soon movies like halloween will never be made again

  • Hollywood has become very watered down, it does seem like the lower the budget the better the film. Because they have to actually rely on story and not flare to make a good movie. But in reality good movies these days are few if none, seems as though the comic book movies are the only good movies being made these days and even some of those suck lol.

  • exactly!!! i mean kaiju flicks have even started sucking...all anybody wants to do in the horror industry wants to do is remake japanese movies. comedies only want to be offensive...movies today suck!!

  • Yeah hollywood pretty much sucks period man lol, they see something that works and makes money and they remake it and copy it a million times over. It's all about money...

  • I totally agree, I was very dissapointed when I went and saw it in theaters. I had been looking forward to it as well and I couldn't believe how TERRIBLE is was.

  • i totally agree of all the horror classics horrors Halloween should not have been remade i wanted to remake friday the 13th when i was older :P before someone else did but it looks like Michael Bay producer who did the texas chainsaw beginning which wasn't good in my opinion, is remaking friday the 13th and nightmare on elm street won't be long before they do scream :S which is what only 12 years old?? sheesh

  • rob zombie dehumanized micheal myers with giving the explanation he gave as to why he turned out the way he did and now he's not this pure form of evil anymore...now i hope everyone's satisfied with the explanation now they don't have to do anymore halloween films!!!understand???

  • The ending was terrible I hated it I saw in theaters as well

  • everyone who hasent seen any halloween movies see the first one by john carpenter, its the only one with the true micheal myers lol all the other ones are just stupid,H20 was cool to watch cuz it was 20 years later but just give it up,nothing will beat the first one and they totally blew the remake.

  • second was carpenter too. it was good.

  • Rob Zombie made a masterpeice look like shit,if u want a movie thats all about blood and not scary at all with a shit load of sex scenes with horrible horrible acting then watch the remake,if u want to watch a classic that will give u nightmares and a movie that u can watch over and over then watch Halloween 1,the only horror movie that i can watch over and over again,i was excited about seeing a remake and Rob Zombie totally blew it.

  • same grade i gave your mum

  • It was a horrable fucking movie how many times can a girl be so fucking stupid she stabbes him then runs shoots him once then runs heres a fucking idea unload a fucking clip of led on his ass the cut out his fucking eyes

the acting was horrable to so was the screen play it gave me a head ache i mean how can you do an hour and 25 minutes of screaming for help and even when help arives guess what the fuck shes still fucking yelling

    i give this a 4.5/10

  • lol. This review makes me lol.

  • men both versions SUCKS BALLS.

  • fuck that dude

    the back story was awesome

  • i agree completely. that remake was just a sorry one with a bunch of porno scenes.

  • you know what u dont know shit about reviews. ur a fuckin nerd u fagget, fuck i kill u right fucking now too u fuck. rob zombie made his movie not what u wanted to see u fucking fagget, when u see me i will kill you and ur fagget family u homo nerd, fo fuck sakes wheres the telenoil, u fucking idiot

  • fuck fuck fuck.. wow realy creative. you'r not ever reasonable when you say this! it goes only in fuck you, homo, bitch, gay and so on and so on! say something like this instead: ok, fine, i don't care for you'r opinion, i liked the move, that does not mean you have to like it. there! its that simple!

  • ur an idiot

  • yeah i know. but i still love the movie though

  • If I wanted to see this "dysfunctional" family turning a snobby kid into a killer, I could turn on CourtTV.. and then the last 30 minutes were the same thing as the original, only in fast forward.

  • yeah the fact that for half the movie they showed michael myers's back story made it worst. its not scary to see how the kiler becomes the killer. and the last half is a direct rip of the original!!!so people saying "a remake is not to copy the original" well he just ripped the whole original and stuck it in at the last half, and the first half was just shit! and made michael myers un-scary!

  • i get well annoyed when i go to the cinema and the film ends up being crap and yeah it is real expensive....i have not seen this movie yet!

  • it is not the original. it's a REMAKE. it's not supposed be the same and it's really hard to remaster a classic. And if you want a terrible movie, go see "Black Christmas" the remake, bitch about that.

  • I'm sorry, but i have to disagree, the point of a remake is to include familiar stuff, thats kind of the point of a REMAKE, if he called it a remake and just went off and created his own version, then that would be one shitty remake. and you have agree that the Laurie in this movie is a lot less stupid than the Laurie from the original, who stabbed myers with a coat hanger, then sat on the couch. THAT sucked.

  • i agree w/ you on some of it. but for the most part i disagree. i didnt think that man was a good dr loomis at all. the original dr loomis (r.i.p.) actually made you feel that micheal was evil adn crazy. but other wise, i think that movie totally owned. i think it showed prefectly how and y he was the way he was. even though i love the first one, it left a lot of gaps and a lot of unanswered questions. y did he hate his family? how did he find out that he had a sister?

  • You think "he was picked on" is a good answer for why he hates his family?

And the remake didn't explain how he found out Laurie was his sister. He sniffs a letter which she has touched. Yup, great explanation there.

Heres my reason for why he hated his family:

He was evil incarnate with only one thing on his mind: MURDER. Why did he want to murder? Because he wants to see you DIE.

  • I'll admit, the film does have a flaw or two but you can pick apart ANY film and find flaws or inconsistencies. But I totally got what Zombie was trying to do and LOVED IT! The fact is most people are gonna hate it because they're insulted at the very idea of the remake let alone the finished product. Basically what I'm saying is there was a broad group of people just waiting to tear this apart before it was even finished! But I personally loved it. It doesn't beat the original but it came close

  • There is one good thing about the ending. It suggests there will never be a Rob Zombie's Halloween 2.

  • Rob Zombie is a terrible director. The Grindhouse trailer is pretty much his best work, his only (barely) watchable movie is Devil's Rejects. His movies are the most derivative crap. Anyone who can't see that is too young to have seen most of the movies he's ripping.

Thank god the Escape from New York remake has been cancelled.

  • dude u r dumb i saw the movie it owns u just have problems with michael myer movies and ur scared cuz u just have problems....

  • i agree with you. the original was great and classic, but theis remake or 'reimagining' was just disapointing. it feels like rob did everything wrong with this movie. no offence to zombie fans or people who like the movie.

  • Dude im going 2 ways i mean i liked the movie but i also agree with you i mean it was kind of, maybe a little cheap but still it explained everything to me well and really if you want to know why hes all f***ed up watch halloween 6 it explains everything it says that he was talked to by the devil and was given a curse that makes him have to kill everyone in his family or else he dies and his entire family still dies that's why hes all f***ed up.

  • that movie was stupid. if u look @ all the movies, that one was there just to make another one. 2 me, there really isnt actual evidence in the originals b/c n the 6th, it was a cruse, and in reserection (yea i no i spelled it wrong) it bascially showed that he was tortured as a child

  • Everyone posting negatively to him is stupid.

This is just a point of view; not everyone has to like it.

I still plan on watching the movie, however.

I might like, I might not.

Is everyone ganna track me down and harass me if I don't like it?

  • you know what i actually sort of liked the remake becaeuse i got to see michael myers in a new perspective even though i do like the original better i still liked the remake and here are the differences to these movies the original was more of a suspenseful type of scary with all the music in all but i liked the remake because it was a totally different type of scary it was more of gore story

AND THAT'S MY PERSPECTIVE OF THE REMAKE

  • your a dick.

what the hell did you want the back story to be?

your probably one of those douche bags who liked the idea of Michael having a curse which causes him to kill his family.

your just an idiot that pisses on every movie but doesn't do anything about it. you cant make anything close to as good as that movie so untill you can shut the hell up

  • no it didn't suck your just an ass rob wasn't trying to remake it like carpenter he was trying his own style/version

  • It still Sucks

  • All Remakes suck thats why i did not go see this movie Rob Zombie is no John Carpenter what was he thinking

  • Well ive said it before i ll say it again.not everybody will like every single movie.what you like i might hate. what you hate i might like. but personally the new halloween movie is one of my favorite horror movies of all time..Robs the new ed wood of movies

  • every remake of a horror movie sucks, lets take the omen for example O.O

  • The thing is I don't know if Michael's history was supposed to explain his killing entirely. He had tendencies, and he was triggered, and it's stated it was a perfect mix, since he already had an emptiness within him.

However, that's not supposed to be the original point of Michael Myers. If we stick to the first movie, we get a force of nature, a hand of god (in Carpenter's own words, I believe). So on its own, it works, but as a backstory for Michael Myers, not as much.

  • i agree. you can't give someone who embodies pure evil a backstory. he is the way he is at heart. he was certainly not corrupted by abuse at home or harassment at school.

  • I thought the movie was awesome! I loved it!

  • His movie Sucked. The orginal was better. I agree that it looked interested.

  • well if you see the dvd on the special features he said malcom Mcdowell never saw the halloween movie so he could not reanact the dr.lomis rob zombie said he want it different just ONE THING

    GET THE GOD DAMN DVD

  • i thought it was alright. the past they gave michael was a little predictable but it was still interesting. i liked how the masks had alot more symbolism to them. the body count got way too high and the drunk step dad was too much of a stereotype. i liked the little moments. loomis trying to comfort michael when he breaks down. i saw the directors unrated cut so there are probably differences. but generally i thought it was nice to see a fresh look on a character that has been getting old

  • yeah that movie sucked!!!P.D.lol. you look like bob (lynda´s boyfriend) of the original movie

  • i liked the movie all but the end i thought that the end was shit

  • fuck that dude this was a phenominal movie i always respect peoples opinion but it was one of the BEST not the worst of 07 the top 3 07 movies were knocked up superbad and halloween, spiderman 3 and balls of fury have to be the worst

  • I know! Same thing happened to me and Spiderman 3. I'm only nine and I like the first one better!

  • lol, dude you look like Bob from Carpenter's Halloween.

  • this movie totally did NOT suck, yall cant compare it to john carpenter's... john carpteners halloween was a classic, remakes are not supsoed to be the same as the origional, thats the whole point of a remake. I am so glad that he put the whole background of michael myers in there, it explained alot, and im so glad its not nearly the same as the orgional.. they are both masterpieces, the remake and the orgional

  • this movie didnt explain anything. if you know anything about michael myers or the halloween movies, the reason why michael myers is killing people is because he is possessed by the curse of thorn. he has the mark on his wrist... rob zombie never "explained" why michael is evil...he was picked on...

  • i hate to say it, but i totally agree with this dork.

  • What Scott here says is the exact conversation between me and my sister before and after watching the movie.

  • and I don't believe Mr. Zombie deserves all the bashing that he's been getting. For one, a movie's a movie. You shouldn't go into one like this hoping for a classic, or pure gold. You look to be entertained. And if people would merely stop comparing it to the original (which can't be done) then it's a pretty decent movie altogether. It at least warrants a second chance on dvd. Watch it again, with a clearer mind. And hey, it's a helluva lot better than "Ressurection"

  • Yes I remembered shortly after I posted this, but Thank You anyway.

  • If you still don't know, that old guy who is always in Rodriguez's films' name is Danny Trejo.

  • I agree for the most part. I wasn't a big Zombie fan but he got my hopes up when he said that the recent Halloween's were not good because Myers wasn't scary anymore. I was like hey cool I couldn't agree more and then he just let me down.

  • i agree!

  • HALLOWEEN FAVORITE HORROR MOVIE

    CARPENTER FAVORITE DIR.

rob's movie's are shitty, funny in parts, because it's soo haha WTF, but he cross the line with this.... i don't care if it's his own take on it, and it gets old to keep recasting the same people from his last two movies.....

  • Yeah, I was disappointed with it. But then I saw it a second time and I liked it a little bit better. The reason why it wasn't as good as Rob Zombie's usual is because the studio Dimmension had way too much control. They made him shoot another ending and take out a lot of scenes.

  • yeeees! this movie sucks!

i was so fucking excited and FUCK!!!

rob zombie destroyed my favorite horror movie of all time...

i like you reviews man, im going to suscribe you.

  • The Movie was good! It did something different yet kept things familiar...if you want all the original tid bits then go rent Carpenters classic! I liked the fact the Rob "made it his own" and not do a scene for scene reinterpretation... Don't get me wrong the film has some problems with it...I think the biggest issue I have with Rob Zombies take on it is the pacing of the last part of the film...it's rushed, jagged etc...But overall it's a pretty damn good rendition.

  • Personally, I don't hate the remake, its OK.

I think Rob Zombie wanted to give it a different perspective, with more about Michael's story.

And I think he was trying to get this movie to the attention of people who enjoy horror films right now, not people who saw the original in the past.

The reason I think its had bad reviews is because it just can't be compared to the 1978 classic, Am I right?

  • I didnt love the new Halloween but I didnt hate it either, all in all i think it could have been done way better, and they should have had someone else play young Michael instead of that little girl.

  • also I think Rob played into his younger days too much, I never pictured Michael crying and whining that he wants to go home, I mean come on, instead they should have shown that he never talked at all, (in and out of hospitals and such and no one can figure out whats wrong with him) that alone would have made a better movie.

  • Agreed.

  • That movie did suck!! Big Time!!!Halloween 6 was better than zombies version.

  • I respect your review, but I mean, what horror movie these days in predictable. Going to any horror movie these days you have to basically expect to maybe see something fucked up and get creeped out a little, but something original as far as killing people goes. You can't judge it too hard. Especially since it is a remake. He can't change the story, well he can, but it would be weird, and what too. But a pretty good review I guess, nice work.

  • Shitty ass movie! Pure trash!

  • and yes his step dad was abusive.. which didnt help anything... the movie was extremely realistic... and personaly.. I thought Rob Zombie did a great job... and Michael myers dieing at the end... BRILLIANT!

  • how is being shot numerous times and still walking around like you were never hurt realistic? the movie was only realistic when Rob Zombie wanted it to be... thats BAD, the movie was terrible and killing michael was the opposite of brilliant, unless of course they were more realistic about him being SHOT

  • you dont automatically die when you get shot.... unless of course you get shot in the heart, brain or spine... you can still walk around... and... he's insane... a combination of brut force and insanity makes it completely realistic.... oh... and unless its a 45 cal... most people wouldnt be even knocked down.... the movie was smart.

  • it was a 45 cal! Lumis was holding a magnum at the end! and its not like he got shot once, he got shot at alot, it just seems unrealistic to be shot that many times and then be taken down by a fall, granted being killed from falling of the second floor of a house is realistic, but c'mon, no one gets shot the number of times he did and lives, its just not possible, and i'm sorry if i sound like a dick

  • well... im sure his magnum was a 357. which are much smaller... but.. thats not the point... the point is... myers is a huge guy... him gettin shot by a 357 would be like me (6') gettin shot by a 22. and... he's insane... insane people arnt affected the same way by things that we are... he was a serial killer... he had one thing on his mind... murder... and nothing was gonna stop him.. even gettin shot... of course he got shot like 6 times.. and he fell...

  • but got up again when he regained conscious.. went back to his goal... it all makes sense

  • ok.. first things first... you guys take movies too seriously... no one made you go see the movie... second thing... the movie was actually realistic... he didnt go around killing peple cause he was picked on... loomis even says it in the movie.. he was the way he was because a perfect balance of inside and outside factors... he was the right age for the mental problems to start showing...

  • Malcolm McDowell was the best thing in that movie and that's saying a lot! What got to me was that he liked Michael. You are a smart man and I know all there is to know about Halloween. I don't know how a little kid who gets locked up gets that big!

  • me iget picked on and i dout go on killing pepol

  • i just saw the movey i was dinsponted michl dose not kill becuse he was abusd picked on thit is bull shit he kills becuse thorn a evil rune about samehane the movey broing dum retrad a fuckd up film

  • the song halloween is the only good thing in the remacke of halloween 1 and the maske

  • The first lomes is beter the new one in the Halloween remacke thit is not riaht for dr lomes Michael Docter

  • I thot the new Halloween was next Halloween from Halloween 8 we Lurey strode finley get,s killed by Michael in that movey wer his home brund downd he dies ther and his buddy from Halloween45 braicks him out of jail his buddy keeos Michael killing strek gowing on but no its a remacke me i have seen 1 2 3 4 5 7 8 Halloween moves not 6 or the remacke one

  • I'm w/ you dude. This reimaging/remakewas awful. And i was looking forward to this Zombie take on the Myers story. And the kid was awful as Michael. Hell, Halloween 4 was 10 times better. Love Malcolm McDowell, but he sucked as Loomis. The dialogue was pretty bad too. I did love Michaels mask--best thing about the film. And Brad Dourif was SO lame in his role. It cost $15 mill to make, and will earn near $70 mill. I hope the sequel will be better

  • The ghost scene in the original JC version was bad ass scary as hell!!!!! In the new RZ version it was just weak and non scary. How can Zombie not make a somewhat scary moment out of that same scene???

  • almost everyone has made some good points but i think rob took a classic charactor and made him 10 times as brutal as the origonal michael myers. He ended the movie reall well too with myers getting killed by his little sister, the only person he didn't want to kill, early on in the movie anyways :P..hows that for irony? lol. The origonal series went on too long...it even became something like a comedy completely ruining the character. I think Rob deserves a little credit just for that.

  • Your comments about the remake are dead on.

Every time Malcolm McDowell said a Donald Pleasance line I cringed.

Every scene they remade they did half-assed.

Two of the lead actresses were annoying. One was dog-ugly.

Once they got to that Halloween night, they just raced through the story and butchered every classic scene.

Absolutely the worst film of the year.

  • Haven't seen it yet but I already HATE the way young Michael looks inthe trailer. The original had a brief sequence about an apparently innocent kid who suddenly gets posessed and grabs a knife. The rest of the movie had me wondering how adult Michael looks behind that creepy mask. Too much detail and explaining kills the mistery, so your review may be right. The mask looks good in this one though, I think the shape never looked so good since the first installment. At least we have THAT :)

  • Is that you? I have to take sides with you, the originals were great, but I didn't like the remake. I hope Rob doesn't plan on making Halloween II or the rest, he can make Halloween III, ha ha, but I don't want to see the movies ruined, even if I haven't seen 5 or 6. Didn't have the heart to.

  • Yeah i was expecting a little more out of it, i was siked to see it but then i did and it was good but not that special, like u said theatre prices are outrages and i wouldnt have spent 20 bucks to see it, the story from young mikey could have been better, the whole being picked on thing and beatin the shit outa a dude and torturing rats is kinda far fetched and i doubt that it made him into what he is

  • it would have been good but rob zombie over uses the f word and it gets freakin annoying

  • remaking a classic is always a challenge.the problem here is there really was nothing here to be updated.there were no special effects in the original because j.c. wanted suspense not blood and the characters and situations will always be relavent.the orig m.m. had no motivation and that was part of the horror because you never know why he kills.add in the soundtrack and you have a suspense horror classic.

  • another lame opinion

    the original is overrated

    the facts:

    no blood in original

dirty harry had blood and its older

there were way better films in the times

  • Maybe you are missing the point in what made the original such a classic.

This remake is just a typical slasher film rehash with nothing new. Even the basement scene was similar to Halloween 5.

Apart from raking in the cash, what was the point in this? I would put it 6th in the list of 9 Halloween films. It beats 5,6 and 8 in my opinion but just like them, I wish this never existed.

  • why?

the original was brilliant the first time i saw it but

its good to see a story behind myers and not just some fella in a clown suit goin mad

    thats not real

michael myers was given a human personality and life in this film

and thats why i loved it

but i only saw the workprint

its comin to irelands cinemas next friday

    roll on friday!

  • Thats the point though...Michael Myers was supposed to be this unemotional, inhuman monster. Pure evil. That is why Lumis stopped trying to treat him and started to try to contain him. Explaining away the myster of Myers with the most cliche excuse possible is a cop out and destroyed what John Carpenter was trying to do.

  • but dude

its more believeable than a man who gets shot six times and walks away!

i love both of them but honestly

i can't and won't choose which is better

  • the movie sucked, i fucking hate remakes. he changed the entire plot line around, and just made him another fucking retarded horror movie killer. zombie would have been better off making his own movie and created a new character

  • shoulda left tha classic alone....dont get me wrong hes a great director..i love devils rejects...but hall. jus started off way 2 slow..and..just a big let down

  • well did you see it in the movies when if first came out cause if you didnt then hears the thing gypsy

then restriced some scenes that were in the movie some now you can only get like a specail edition were you you can shall i say the 'uncut' version
