If you are having any hardware troubles send send unit in, you payr for shipping to facility they pay for repairs and shipping back to you. it aint crap its like amagine getting itunes and some movies, a vista skin (I got one on me dell right now!) and a silicone or just regular case for it BAM theres entertainment, looks, and portability

I'm on my Eee now, its so cool i totally recommend you buying one. Its easy to carry around, very fast and does mainly everything a windows laptop would do. The price was great so yeah go get your self one :D. Great vid !! x

i would put ubuntu on that machine, it has a better gui, and it has a whole lot more software to choose from

Sure, but I believe a direct upload will butcher the video quality of the actual video. I plan on using it for ustream and I will definitely make a video using the camera.

I received it as a gift from my uncle, and the GUI on the EEE PC makes Linux super easy to use.

I believe not, I've never actually see the EEE PC in store, but Target and Best Buy do list them on their sight. From what I can see on Amazon, the cheapest model with a 9 inch screen is 400 dollars. I usually prefer my macbook for school work and anything computer heavy. I only use the EEE Pc for light internet surfing. As long as the printer hooks up via usb, you are good to go.

You can buy an Asus EEE PC with either Xandros Linux or Windows XP preinstalled. It can connect to wifi and does all the tasks that a macbook could do. The only differences between the two is that the macbook run OSX and more powerful. You can purchase them on online retailers like Amazon and New Egg and also the online stores of Target and Best Buy. The bigger the screen the better.

could you rephrase your question? the difference between windows and OSX is that they are two different operating systems for computers. There is also Linux. You can pay for internet service from your local telephone companies.

hi, great vid, had it as my fav for a while. so much so, that i have ordered an assus eee pc, but i ordered the model up from yoru 701, its the 900, not the 901, the 901 is the atom processor version, so so expensive, not worth for a second notebook, thanks for the review, def get shout-out.

I would definitely go with the macbook. The EEE is meant to be a secondary computer while the macbook is more of the main machine to use.

I'm planing on getting the 901 but still debating on what OS I should get. I use XP at home and it's okay, but I would love to move to Linux. Researching the Linux OS on the EeePC it seems to have very little options with the trackpad, compared to the XP version. With that and a few other things, I'm leaning toward the XP version.

Hi: I bought the ASUS Eee PC 702 black, with 8GB SSD and 1GB RAM running Xandros Linux. First time with a Linux machine. I love it. You can buy higher power batterys at various places or off of Ebay. Mugen Power also sells higher capacity batterys. Fantastic little machine. Getting on the internet with WiFi is great. Better range then many full size laptops. Perfect? No. but for small size, backpacking or traveling it's great. I got used to the small keyboard over time, and I have big hands.

yeah it runs well, its not a power machine so a gig of memory is perfect. That's what I have on my macbook.

from what I can tell off the Amazon website which is extremely confusing since there are so many configurations. A 901 with Windows XP will cost 599 for either a 80gb tradition drive or 12gb solid state drive.

Whatever it was, the GUI made the computer more fun to use. I wouldn't recommend using windows on it partly because the large icons and tab system worked well with the limited screen size. You have everything you need for basic computing with Xandros. It's really sweet with Linux on it.
