Would you recognise Lady Gaga if she wore a hoodie and trackie bottoms, standing in front of you in the Subway? Or at the Bank? That's how Superman gets away with it.
lol, alyster crowley weren't no scary dude. the only truly scary thing he ever did was to make people's knees buckle with the power of his mind. oh, and he once drank rabbit's blood, which made him gag. he used to beat the living crap out of women too apparently - but that just made him some kind of sick bullying coward - not scary, just psycho. ain't no hu-man being scares me. theys all puss-necks, fakes or squares. there ain't no superhuman dudes on this here old earth.

"Staged alien invasion"? At least now we know why you're spamming videos of an Alan Moore interview.
Why do you have to steal conspiracies from fictional comic books? I miss the days when the lunatic fringe was original. Like David Icke, for instance. The man is a complete nutcase, but he's HIS OWN nutcase.
Now, please, to quote Joe Hill, "Tie a rock to your block and go jump in the lake / Kindly do that for liberty's sake . . ."
why? with your useless non super sperm? that would be a waste simply on biological standards. who should impreg all the super x women is superman himself, not like they could stop him anyway
You guys have done a great job of documenting the maverick genius of Alan Moore with all these videos. LJ was a very good interviewer, a lot of interviewers are very self involved but he has a quiet, assured presence which allows Moore to really cut loose and talk (in fairness he never seems to need much encouragement, lol) and I think you should all be proud of yourselves. Thanks for posting this!
Yes, at a new comic shop opening, Alan Moore is there with the Maus guy and....some other guy I don't remember....When Milhouse asks for moore's signature on a copy of watchmen babies, Alan goes on a speech about corporations ruining this or that...then the Maus guy calms him down and Moore read Little LuLu while singing the Little LuLu song.
The Maus guy was Art Spieglman, and the other guy was Daniel Clowes who wrote Ghost World (among otheer things but Ghost World is the only thing mentioned in the Simpsons)
I disagree with all of you. Rohrschach admired Truman for bringing peace through death with the atom bomb, but couldn't reconcile his views because his logic fell in upon itself. This is why he urges Osterman to kill him, note that he doesn't sayof course you must protect veidt's utopia he says, "Of course. Must protect veidt's utopia" by telling Manhattan to kill him he is in fact preserving the peace
I was struggling with this myself, I dont think its that simple. Kovacs could'nt do an unprincipled exception. He says "Of course. Must protect veidt's utopia" in a mocking tone in his own curt style of language where he drops the possesive. This indicates something else. Can someone else clarify?
It's because in Rorschach's fiercely black and white moral view of the world, while keeping quiet about what Veidt has done sickens him to the core, he's prepared to die rather than join in with the hush-up.
I think most of you understood Rorschach's decision. He knew that publicly uncovering the plan Veidt had unleashed would be a righteous cause, but the "greater good" relied upon him remaining silent about the truth behind massacre.
Its possible Rorschach had chosen to reveal Veidt's successful ploy while aware the others would never allow it. Since the alternative (a world without war) was necessary, he didn't fight Manhattan's decision to stop him; Instead demanded to be put out of his misery.
Don't you see? Rorschach had to die, it was the only way earth would experience a brief period of peace. Even Rorschach knew he had to die, but his demented persona prevented him from compromising.
because he was mental, the actual tragedy is that dreiberg knew he had to betray his friend just at the moment that they reconciled to each other's personalities,
Yeah, now i expect he appears at a South Park episode... By the time it came the news that he should appears in Simpsons, also had that add, saying he would like to do something at South Park as well...
What's he talking about a Michael Jackson episode? Does he mean the one with the big guy in the asylum that thinks he's Michael Jackson, or something different?
no. because the simpsons wasn't turning one of his stories into a movie. And he doesn't want them to make to make his work into movies, he wanted to go on the simpsons.
The difference is that the simpsons rarely buther works of art and calls it "improved", unlike most that have remade his movies and changed the story and meaning of it.
And here I always imagined he'd sound like Wilford Brimley XD

ThomasJeromeNewton 3 years ago 2
Yeah, he was mental, but Roarshach had to die because he saw no shades of gray.
It was completely black and white: you're either good or bad to him, and therefore, to keep the peace, he had to die, sadly.
Ironically enough, Roarshach himself is a shade of gray.
10truefreak01 3 years ago 11
he could have survived if he could reconcile with humanity through his friend and his friend's new wife.
ThomasJeromeNewton 3 years ago
I think if he had kept quiet with his friend he himself would always be uneasy. I think he'd go even more insane.
He couldn't contain a secret like that inside him, because he would see it as simple as tell and be good or don't and be evil.
Of course, that's the only way Roarshach sees things. He doesn't take it into mind the greater good, just that evil must be punished no matter what.
He could even realize this, and he even told Dr. Manhattan to kill him. He knew he didn't see things right.
