  • "It isn't what you does so much as what you means - that's what I always say."

    Well, make your mind up!

  • What a very loving mother. Every child should have such a loving mother.

  • whoopee, zippeee! lol

  • I like this a lot because it relates how I gave state secrets to the Soviets in the 1960's. I didn't get any money for it.

  • @cobalt100 hahaha

  • @cobalt100 Why would you broadcast something like this on the internet?

  • @AlenaJolie I should have kept my mouth shut. Oh well, you live and learn.

  • THE RAILWAY CHIILDREN ARE THE BEST

  • up to no good there!!! haha

  • hahaha oh i like this movie....

  • i like it alot

  • If the crime was treason, then surely the punishment would have been hanging not incarceration.

  • @laceup1967 probably because he wasn't guilty of treason but some lesser charge that made it look like treason at first

  • @laceup1967

That would have been a rather depressing end to it dont you think?

    "Is daddy coming home?"

    "errmmmmm........"

  • When the drops of water fall on the picture it's difficult to tell if they're raindrops or Bobbie's tears - excellent bit of filming!

  • @Inkyminkyzizwoz i agree, its such an amazing film, no sex, violence, no swearing or action, just an amazing film, british film making at its best, a real gem

  • @whites12321 if you like this, you may also like Lark Rise to Candleford, on Youtube as well....

  • @whites12321 'No violence'

Well, unless you count Ruth clouting Peter at the beginning!

  • "What's a paper chase?"

  • It was humorous in a way and would be quite suitable for an adult comedy show: it's just that the world is so dominated by sex and romance, leaving too little thought to non-sexual love (which I believe to be better), and I was counting on films like The Railway Children to provide an escape from the unpleasant realities of the post-pubescent world.

  • Isn't it a bit late in the day to wish him "Happy Birthday"?

  • (Climbs into bed and shuts the curtains).

Missus: All right Perks, as it's your birthday.

Did they HAVE to put that in what is otherwise such an innocent and charming film?? How I wish I didn't know about such things!

  • i always thought it was a bit funny they added that in

  • As a matter of fact, you then see him opening a bottle - maybe that's what she was referring to.

  • Yes, let's hope so.

  • Well, it is set in 1905 and they were a lot more prim in those days, so it probably was what she was referring to!
