@viktorrietveld no I was on this flight, I can appreciate there's a lot of CG stuff on here, but Ive got the internal camera footage to prove it - see the previous post regarding my wife making internal video of the stricken flight. As I say, nobody was injured, and it was quite a scary time and Id rather not keep going over old ground on this one, trust me, not a pleasant experience.
I was actually on this flight. The way the plane jumped we all thought we were going to die. The captain in charge of the flight did an amazing job in getting this big bird down, all credit to him. Possibly the scariest flight ive ever been on.
@robag71 Yes, it was about 5 years ago, coming into Schipol airport. It was almost like the wings were made of paper. As I say the Captain did an amazing job bringing that huge metal bird down onto the tarmac.
@robag71 yes you are right, it was due to very bad weather and heavy cross winds. Also, the explanation of the jumping at the end was due to the throttle being used by the pilot in order to gain traction on the runway tarmac. I am of course no expert in avionics, however, the report from the authorities is available online I believe??
My wife said that anothe passenger onboard took footage whilst the stricken jet landed, but there is no proof or sign of this footage on the internet yet.
@RUBBERMOOG So what airline is this then, because TBW air doesnt exist and theyre obviously not allowed to use the logos of actual airline due to legal reasons and all that crap, just out of interest :)
They filmed a good landing for the commercial but used animation for the plane to bounce, Since his tail wings should move up and down at a bouncing like this.
That is about the funniest CG I've ever seen Victor, fantastic! And that added "hit the seat in front" amok breaking on the runway is just hilarious :)
