  • It is obvious that 7 people have a snake phobia...

  • Thats a real shame! I would have bought one, well keep up the good work. I will continue to enjoy your videos.

  • Hi viperkeeper, have you made a feature long dvd that people can buy? And csn you ship them internationally as with your calanders?

I have seen your vidros many times over and a feature length dvd would be great!

    Thanks, ms381

  • @ms381 I can (have) make(d) long features available for sale, there was little interest.

  • Bow down to the viperkeeper for he kicks so much ass!

  • Is it true Belcher's Sea Snakes are more venomous than Inland Taipans?

  • @GU5T4F What does it matter? The toxcicity of a venomous snake only matters if you were bitten by it.

  • @viperkeeper Sorry im just curious not that i want to get bitten or anything. I just want to know which snake who has the most potent venom.

  • @GU5T4F I don't play this crap...read a book...use google...go to another website...

  • @viperkeeper guess you had too much "potent venom" in you cuz you're acting like a fucking douche right now.

  • @GU5T4F Old video..oh well. It would seem like you're the one acting like a "douche" (nice junior high word there by the way). Why should VK spend his time answering TONS of questions on all his videos that have already been answered before in numerous videos and many times in a FAQ or 101 type videos? The answers to the MOST asked questions (like the one you asked) are either already answered in many places or, are irrelevant in that they can't be answered in a meaningful way regarding humans.

  • @viperkeeper why won't you just answer his question? you have put so much time in researching these snakes, you probably know this 'crap' . and if you wouldn't be playing this crap, you wouldn't have known how fast you need to handle after getting bit by, for instance, a king cobra, or knowing it's perfectly fine to get bitten by a hognose, they are both venomous.

please rationalize and don't be so arrogant.

  • @Dwergideon There is no data (LD50) for the venom of Belcher's Seasnake. I don't have the time to answer every question that's asked. This question regarding who's more toxic is one I don't answer since the data only pertains to mice.

  • @viperkeeper You should have just said that in the first place instead of making an ass of yourself. Thumbs down for jackass behavior!

  • @viperkeeper 0:46 is that a Black Mamba?

  • @evermetal2 No, Inland Taipan

  • @viperkeeper Thanks. I am not very familiar with snakes. I may be wrong but, don't they look quite the same? And this...Taipan, it's quite a deadly snake, isn't it?

  • @evermetal2 This one is the most toxic snake, drop for drop

  • @GU5T4F yes thats true but sea snakes aren't aggresiv!

  • Really fantastic!

  • wow feirs snake thats like wow...deadlyest thing in your house viper keeper wow thats awsome!!

  • use uncolored newspaper for your snakes

  • arARRA RARARARARA ARARA funny as hell :D

  • I had some neonates from a friends litter but they died. (B. aspers have large litters and 2/3 die in the first 6 months)

    Al

  • i like your snake's

  • Inlandtaipan and coral snake, my favorites!!

    I'll watch this one often.

  • Been waiting for the most venomous snake, the notorious Inland Taipan, it's one awesome snake.

  • NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Yep and unfortunately they are really a loaded gun so to speak.

I really liked your Egyptian Cobra too, though she was rather pissy, all the same she is gorgeous

  • A loaded gun with somebody pointing it in your face and their finger on the trigger. I agree but the are some of the prettiest snakes out there.

  • Hi Viper, I just noticed your videos today on youtube and have been watching them for the last 3 hours. Very imformative and educating.

I especially like Gabby, she gorgeous. Quick question, which im sure you have been asked. I know its bad practice to handle venomous snakes by hand, but was there ever one that you felt almost comfortable enough to do so?

  • It's really playing "Russian Roulette" since their moods changes quickly and percieve their enviroment differently.

  • hi viperkeeper really nice tiger snake. i hope you have a wonderful christmas.

  • Was the second snake a tiger snake?

  • Yes

  • Hey Al, how long are you offering the vids for? I won't have spare cash until after the new year, but I'd love to get a copy. I already have both your calendars! :)

  • All videos (except these) are available for $25 US for an hour plus shipping...

These I'll discuss in the new year.

  • Got to know; How much for copies of the DVDs?

  • 6 hours of DVD video for $25.00 plus $5.00 for shipping.

  • Aspidelaps lubricus lubricus

  • Really nice, are they rare in the USA? I have only seen a infuscatus and a few cowlesi.

Also on another note do you own Naja nubiae or have videos of them,

  • A.l.lubricus is getting rare in the USA. They are seldom seen. No I don't keep those.

  • Really nice coral snake

Is it a Aspidelaps lubricus lubricus? or which subspecie?

  • You Tease!

  • finely u put on a inland taipan!!!!!!!!!!!

  • viperkeeper what kind of cobra is that at 44 seconds

  • Sarmar Cobra, Naja samarensis

  • That species is why I've been wanting to go to the Philipines for the past 5 years. Was that one produced by Mario Lutz?

  • Yes

  • hey Viperkeeper i was looking around the internet and i cam acroos an news article about some new species of animals they have found i believe in viet. Well one of those is a belived to be exctinct light green pit viper, which they showd a picture of and is stunningly beautiful. You should check it out i believe it is Trimeresurus Gumprechti if i am correct.

  • Gee that Coral Cobra looks magnificent!

  • how much??? and are you excepting presales?

  • For What?? Be specific

  • That coral cobra is stunning! Eagerly waiting for the videos. :)

  • Is there a way to tell the approximate age of a snake, i.e. from its length?

  • no, not at all

  • Viperkeeper, excellent videos very happy I stumbled across them. My son and I have thoroughly enjoyed them. I will be purchasing your calender (hopefully 2). Request if possible, could you one day make a video with snake jargen. I understand some of it other parts I do not. I only ask because my 10 year old son is curious and sometimes I can not answer. It doesn't have to be a seperate video but can be included with your regular videos. Have a spectacular day!!

  • I will do just that....

  • Thank you very much sir. I am sure I will be e-mailing you soon. My wife and I are thinking about setting up a trip to make a visit to see the snakes(albeit with prior contact and planning with you of course). I plan to hit paypal by the end of this week for a calender. Even if you can not continue on with the calender after this year, I think you have done a spectacular job and taught us all many things we would not otherwise know.

  • ;) It's great Calendar... I had one shipped over to the UK.

  • nice cobra

  • That coastal taipan looks like a banana! That has got to be one of the best looking snakes I have ever seen.

  • well i feel ripped off that we have to wait until jan to see the rest lol. But looking forward to watching more. Keep safe and mery Christmas to all (esp Gabby)

  • 6 hours of very cool video...

    Sleep well :-P

  • See how many snakes can bite you at one time while recording it, post video.

  • I can alway tell when some one posts from the shallow end of the gene pool. All you have to do is look at their "favorite list" or subscriptions.

  • ha! well said

  • do you do any research with the snakes, or due any visits to schools?

  • I provide animals for researchers and vemon labs. OMG...no way to schools

  • Excellent!! Can't wait...

  • You tease! ;)

  • When I'm bad, I'm very bad :-P

  • No, there are 4 species in the Oxuranus group. The Mega-Taipan is Oxuranus canni only found in Papua New Guinea. The other 3 are found in Australia. Coastal, Inland, and the new species O. temporallis, for which I can't recall the common name.

  • nice cant wait al

  • whereabouts were you at al?

  • At my PC telling you where I'm at...

  • no what i mean.. it doesnt look like the normal snake lair background?? are you at a friends house or something? thats what i meant

  • You are correct, I'm not at the lair. If people would take a moment and read the other comments, pictures start to form...

  • Please catch that Samar Cobra and ship it to me Al :). I have been looking for one for AGES.

  • lol thats a pretty funny vid

  • LOL oh good a pissy one! lol

  • Omg I can't wait to see a more detailed show in Janurary about these awesome snakes!!

  • Cool, I love Australian snakes!

  • i cant wait to see those cobras

  • I cant wait! But what I want to see is you hanging out with Nick and Mike (Muffdaddy2 and Snakemannva)!

  • why would someone like viperkeeper the "man" want to hang with dink and donk..

  • Well they are good buds ya know. One of these days I could see Al shooting down a few with Nick and Mike.

  • Unlikely since I seldom drink...

  • omg i'm shaken with anticipation

  • youre the man

  • Very Nice Snakes once again : ) keep them coming!

  • I can't wait to see the cool videos that 2009 is going to bring. Great job. I love your video, they are very informative, interesting and show beauty and responsibility.

  • that inland taipan was epic!

  • Man you better be extra careful with that Taipan. I'm pretty sure that hospitals have no anti-venom for that particular species..last I heard anyhow. But anyway, great vid as always!

  • I am not an idiot! There was plenty of Commonwealth TAIPAN monvalent 25 feet from me.

  • Didn't say you were an idiot. I just didn't know if there was anti-venom for that snake or not

  • I can't wait! Did you buy anything new on your visit to wherever??

  • This so incredibly bodacious, Al! I can't wait to see the new footage!

  • lol Al your such a tease :P

  • OMG!!! I'm so excited.

  • dude u got a tipan. there epic!!!!!

  • No, I never said they were mine. The only legal Australian Herps are in Zoo's and Venom labs.

  • wow i neaver seen a coral cobrer b4, do they stay this coulor or will it change?

    i like him, lol

  • Yes

  • No worries, just like to be clear about those things. People love to pounce on little issues like that...

  • ooo... nice teaser

what was that cobra that was only 1 of 7 in the US?!?

    ;Phas

  • Yes

  • Very nice indeed, I personally can't wait to see some footage of the coral cobra. (cobra's are always 1 of my favorite snakes due to the lore around them.

  • Ahhh...I never said they were mine. The only legal Australian Herps are in Zoo's and Venom labs.

  • That Naja samarensis is simply breathtaking, do you know whether they have been already bred in the US?

    Regards

    Andreas

Btw. The teaser's mean... all those great elapids.

  • Yes, they are, getting any..not likely.

  • I guessed so. Probably sold out before they've hatched ;).

Best would be to get them from Mario Lutz at Herpaworld, i reckon.

  • No...not from him, don't even know him.

  • He seems to be the only one who is legally allowed by the Philippine government to export native wildlife. Most Europeans seem to have their Parias mcgregori, flavomaculatus or Naja samarensis from him.

  • I'll have to investigate.

  • Nice one Al, look forward to the complete video

the wee coral cobra - aspidelaps sp?

  • Good to see your picking up some good old aussie snakes mate! Cant wait for the new vid!

  • ouuuuuuuuuu i want i want !!!!!!!!!

  • Woot, inland taipan. You surely don't want to get a hit from one of those babies. =) Awesome teaser trailer, Al.
