This is irresponsible !! One does not use dangerous shark as the longimanus to be close from their prays. In 2007 a women was killed in the Red Sea by a Longimanus...these fishes need respect.

@woodenmajor yeahh u r correct in all but i think this one is not oceanic it's normal white tipe and the oceanic comes to the red sea in winter starting from december hope this year no attacts but anyway now we have no tourist :D

The guy who recorded the video is Russian, and in the description he says that they were lucky enough to shoot the video with this shark, because a few days later the same sharks attacked a French woman. So at the time when they were shooting the video the sharks were just exploring the area before they started attacking..

These Guy called Oceanic Whitetip shark (lat.Carcharhinus longimanus) and is one of the most Dangerous Sharks, like Tiger.., Mako.., White.. and Bullsharks.

So he`s responsible for many attacks of shipwrecked People on open Water.

woah, incredible footage. oceanic whitetips scare the living shit out of me, i couldn't be diving -and definitely not snorkeling- that close to them. whitetips are curious and bold as hell, there were various dangerous situations during the video. but i guess safety is the wrong word for diving with sharks in general, so... nice video.

How would people ever know what their limits are without trying. I would give alot to have a swim with these sharks! Obviously, it wouldn't be pleasant giving an arm or a leg whilst swimming with them however...

@Richona I would love to swim with sharks and honestly just stay underwater in the middle of the ocean with them, who wouldn't? But the odds of a bigger hungry shark comming along is pretty good once we r splashing around, but i see where your comming from, basically exactly what i mean.

I think it's great, I'd love to do it.. but is it worth the possibility of a limb... to be completely at the mercy of a dangerous wild animal out of my element, is a scary thought, aswell as majestic though.

But the swimmers did exactly what they needed to do to ward the shark off. These were oceanic white tips, they're particularly aggressive but all species of shark will typically divert if they think they are in the slightest bit of danger of being hurt.

По поведению акул больше похоже на то,что им просто интеренсно было ;-) Это обычные /к сожалению знаю только немецкое название/ - Weißspitzenriffhai - название из-за белых кончиков верхнего плавника; никакая не серая акула! Есть с черным верхним плавником, та же "семья" - водятся возле рифов, любопытны, на людей считается не нападают.

На Мальдивах с ними плавала, там им рады были, пацаны 13-летние в воде с ними кружили, рады были если они из любопытства поближе пдплывали :-) с ними фоткаться

Акула которая фигурирует в фильме Carharhinus longimanus относится к семейству Серые акулы Carharhinidae, некоторые исследователи считают, что она входит в десятку самых опасных акул. Акулы которых Вы видели на Мальдивах, скорее всего белоперые рифовые акулы Triaenadon obesus, которые кстати то же относятся к семейству Серые акулы.

Yes, it is the Oceanic Whitetip, that eats many people, when planes crash or boats sink in mid-ocean.

Apparently, they can be less aggressive near land, where food is not so scarce as in the desolate parts of the sea.

I am surprised that people get in the water with them in Red Sea, and here in Hawaii... near the Big Island.

I imagine I will also visit them, one day.

Это рыбы чистильщики, если своими словами - то они ей типа спа делают (отшелушивают кожицу лишнюю, налет всякий и т.д.) Нам говорили, что если в море такую вот увидете из сопровождения, то тикайте, значит рядом акула.
