  • Don't you just love how all the ppl that have the interceptor replicas are American while back here in Australia I don't think anyone has an Interceptor replica...... Makes me laugh... Nice replica btw :-). xo

  • @MsTaktik1 - I know some Australians with replicas. And thanks, it was built by an Australian, in Australia. :D

  • Thats a good ole jake brake if i had to guess.

  • @Taylorjlarkin - You are technically correct, as it was a Jake braking.... :D

  • Last of the V8's!!!

  • You fuckers own this car !!! Is an icon ! Lucky SOBs...!!

  • looks like the delorean from back to the future

  • Dream car <3

You used a ford falcon or its just a body kit?

  • where is dog?

  • @duffmann3 - In back floor, pushing passenger seat forwards.

  • passenger seat dived front in 0:30 :D

  • haha thats great

  • Im beggining to suspect YOU have the REAL car from the movie

  • i hate you... ;) AWESOME!!!

  • Wheres the dog? Man don't tell me you forgot the dog? You're gonna need that dog lol. That car made me smile. Awesome

  • This is so cool..bad as hell my friend!..

  • the axle-hop stop was old school abs

  • change the front bumper,NOW! XD

  • @TommyPlouffe - But the way it is now matches the film...

  • the gfc,s over bring back the monaro and falcon gt coupe

  • I know this probably won't work but I've been a pretty good guy my whole life and I was hoping you would give me this car.

  • @meandot lol @ thumbs up

  • @meandot he said he will give u if u suck his dick for a week non-stop

  • Wheres Mel?

  • @metaguitar234 - In California, I'd guess.

  • @metaguitar234 Probably at a scientology meeting.

  • I tried to build the same thing back in the 90s with a 73 mustang fastback. It turned out really cool but it was most certainly no Mad Max Road Warrior.

  • it doesn't seem to go, blower non functional?

  • @905Alive The blower turns on and off via the switch on the gear-shift lever.

  • Cool you got off with that car 

  • lol,,, Thats a seriously bad ass fkn car

  • @PatrolmanDark. I see on your tags that you are American. How did you get an XB over there? Mad Max was filmed all around where I live and up the 60odd k road I travelled to work on for years. Two parts of Ghost Rider was also filmed on the same stretch of road where Nightrider was blown up. I drove thru the set one morning after filming.

  • @CatsArePremiers07 - Mad Max began my love of things Australian. When the opportunity came up for me to buy the car from the documentary "Back 2 The Max", I did everything I had to - to buy it, and have it shipped to the US, then across half the country to me in Texas. I envy you, living so close to where I will one day spend a ton of money to fly to and visit. Just to stand on that particular empty road.

  • @PatrolmanDark What is the motor make and size?

  • @ckelley63 That'd be a Ford 351.

  • @PatrolmanDark So is that one of the the originals? if you don't mind me asking what was ths cost? I've got a 64 Falcon 2dr sedan with a 302 roller go Ford!!! Do you have any horsepower figures? Either way an awesome car from one of my all time favorite movies!!!

  • @ckelley63 - There were only ever 2 built for the films and they're both accounted for. This one was built later for promotions and exhibitions like the documentary "Back 2 The Max". The cost was more than my yearly salary. Love the early Falcons, too. I've never put it on the dyno. I think of it like Rolls Royce used to answer when asked how much horsepower in their cars - "Sufficient."

  • @PatrolmanDark Hahah! It's the Bacchus Marsh/Geelong Road (for those of us who live in Geelong it's just the Bacchus Marsh Rd) . It's definitely not empty esp when you're late to work and it's choc full of trucks and cars doing under the speed limit. :( It's not a great road either- Ive seen heaps of cars on their roofs, the road floods and gets a tad scary and I've even seen a death.

  • @PatrolmanDark You can check out the road on Google Maps. The scene where they smash thru the caravan is the south end of Forest Rd Lara, and where the bloke loses his hand on the panel van is Avalon Beach Lara. Where the tanker blows up at the end and Max drives off up the hill is the intersection of Greigs Rd/Nerowie Rd at Exford, just south of Melton where I worked.

  • @PatrolmanDark More specifically (cause I'm pedantic!) Nightrider blows up just south of the intersection of BirdsRd and Sharkey Rd, which is also the same intersection where Johnny Blaze makes a pact with the devil. The council removed most of the rocks from the side of the road that you see in the movie about 12 years ago. The mountain is called the You Yangs.

  • My top movie and my favorite Top Gear episode

  • I AM THE ROAD WARRIOR LOL coolest car ive seen

  • Woulda been a shame to blow it up...

  • I Love Interceptor

  • Потрясающий автомобиль!!! Звук V8 просто песня!!! Искренне вам завидую! P.S. Вам еще нужно собаку, как у MAD MAX.

  • Love the chair at 0:27

  • Max?..."the best hero in the universe!"......Superman?..."number 0!".

The car?..."a monster on the road!".

  • so cool i love mad max movies, i'm jelous you have the car, all my vehicles i ever owned i usaully take off or customize something for that mad max look

  • nice car

  • mad beast

  • Oh.. My.. Dear.. Lord....

    that car sounds amazing.

nice work, it looks and sounds dead on to the movie car.

  • Love the car. I watched it three times and I never saw the axle hop :l

  • @snarlingrabiddog5150 - During the hard braking when the tire screeching is stuttering.

  • i love this car :=)

  • Y U SO MAD..MAX?

  • You have to love the whine of the supercharger !!

  • 40litres per 100km sounds crazy o.O (gallon/6miles)

  • That's what Batman would drive if he lived in the mid-west.

  • How much petrol does it burn? 25L/100KM? Or more? :D

  • @Patryk737 - Don't know the metric figure, but it's probably about 6 miles per gallon. If I stay off the pedal. :)

  • @PatrolmanDark Thats what my mate used to get from his stinking hot 327 chev around 6 to the gallon but that was back when we could get juice for about 15 cents a litre

  • @PatrolmanDark no wonder theres no fuel left in MM

  • @Patryk737

    It's about 50L/100km

  • @Patryk737

    25l/100km.....Maybe on Economic speed!!!!! :-))))

  • @Patryk737 I was going to buy a 1970 Plymouth Superbird. (440 4bbl) My dad told me to ask the guy what kind of gas mileage it got. I knew it was a stupid question but I asked the guy anyway. He said if you are worried about gas mileage you don't need this car.

  • ааа.... Это просто супер

  • @MrZim000 - Спасибо!

  • WOW, that is mind blowing!!!

  • That is a fucking cool ass car. I can tell it is manual which makes it even cooler!

  • at least someone is prepared for the future!

  • 351? 427? W/e it is sounds beast.

  • @tpops123 - It's a 351. Thank you, sir!

  • @PatrolmanDark Sweet Ride.. I'm sure there's one or two out there in someones Barn.. somewhere probably in the Deep South.. check.. Texas. They had them as police cars.. and I cant even imagine where else. That's A Sweet Ride.

  • @Mrbooboo1972 - I believe you're thinking of the 133 AMC Javelins used by the Alabama Department of Public Safety for pursuit and highway patrol. This is a Ford Falcon, made exclusively by Ford of Australia. The US used to make a different Falcon, but stopped in 1970.

  • ti have a nice black 93 cobra thats all done up BUT, i have three words to say about your wheels "thats fucking sweet"

  • damn! thats what i call a real rockstar car...i love it!

  • КРУтота ! ! !

  • @TRAVolta755 Спасибо!

  • Nice car! still got it?

  • @MrFinlandsuomi - Yes sir, I still have it. Drove it about 30 miles yesterday.

  • Fuck! Engine sounds awesome! That song is number one in any charts!

  • awesome

  • when he stops the passenger seat goes forward

  • @robertstephenson14 - That is correct, sir. It's Newton's First Law. It's not just a good idea.

  • @PatrolmanDark INDEED.....

  • @robertstephenson14 hahahahha mythbuster xD

  • That car looks as wicked as it sounds !!!

  • You should bring that monster up to Northstar Dragway in Sanger.

  • Such a cool car, sounds ridiculously powerful =P

    Nice video.

  • This is the sound every car should have...

  • REAL LAST SAMURAI WAS DRIVING IT :D:D:D

  • @nesertewaldaa - That was funny, you are today's winner of the Internet! You win a free ride in the Interceptor!

  • The car is so powerful, even the seats can't hold the G-forces.

  • The Ford which saved ford australia, of course this mad max version of the car is so bad ass, looks a little like a vk Commodre at the front or trans am

  • notice how wen he stops the passenger seat moves

  • @woolery33 - That is correct.

  • @berserker2111 - I'm sorry, Berserker, but that information is incorrect. They made only made one for Mad Max, and a second one for backup (this one was blown up). That's it. Two were officially made. Mind was made after the fact for exhibitions and a documentary, Back 2 The Max. This one is called "The Last of the V8 Interceptors" because it is referred to as such in MM2. The source of my information is the guys who were there.

  • this car eats other cars on the road....then shits them out hahaha

  • This is great! I love these cars. The '73 XB Coupe is in the Forza 4 racing game for Xbox... It might be the closest thing I'll get to driving a real "V8 Interceptor!" All that aside, this is a beautiful car you have.

  • Damn, I remember this is my allaround fav car, too bad the supercharger on the film was fake and only cosmetic, but yours look operational...badass mean falcon.

  • the best car !!

  • mother of god that is a lot of car

  • @kless001 - Yessir! And keep in mind that Aussies used to RACE these beasts. Really worth searching on "70's Bathurst" to see insanely brave and talented (crazy?) guys flinging these huge machines around. If there are heroes in racing, it's Aussies of that era.

  • @PatrolmanDark it seems that the best place in the world for top end muscle / burnout / drag cars is Australia that take it a bit too serious i think :p

  • Nice Car.

  • The way things are now, we all are like Road-Warriors. Especially people looking for scrap-metal the way they have some of vehicles set up looking for scrap to make some kind of money.

  • Congratulations guy !!! Very very nice the interceptor !!!!!!

  • @GameStalker2 - To clean, I recommend soap. :D But if you're saying that the Interceptor is too clean, well, there's a reason for that. I've tried dirtying it up, but the paint they put on movie cars is very thin, and the pH of the dirt caused a bad reaction with the paint which required hours of careful buffing to remove. So I just let it reach a certain level of dirtiness, then clean it to keep it in good shape - it's 38 years old.

  • OF COARSE NOT REVERSE!!!!!!! I clutch brake all the time in my ranger ford!!! ha ha ha,really decked out with all that gear!!! this is the real thing here and for those who had heroes keep the legends alive and so on.....clutch brake my friend clutch brake ask a trucker about that one....

  • That is such an awesome car!!! =D

  • Did anyone notice the second seat at 0:28

  • Хочу себе такую!

  • That is seriously awesome. One of the coolest cars EVER. I think my entire body just pissed itself.

  • My husband would have a shit fit :D

  • V8 sound rules

  • dude nice i wont it so bad thats my movie dream car

  • very very impressive do you have anything documented on how you did it I am interested

  • @HERMAN78X - Thank you, sir! Yes, I documented it at the beginning of the comments section, here it is again: You get up speed, then clutch in, shift to a gear lower than you would normally. Begin braking hard to transfer weight to the front, then begin letting the clutch out smoothly and gradually.

  • very very cool

  • sell me it please

  • @bicnarok - I have said below, I would for an obscenely large amount of money. If you have such to offer, talk to me.

  • @PatrolmanDark Time to buy some lottery tickets then:) It´s one of the most impressive cars I´ve ever seen, absolutely brilliant.

  • @bicnarok I thank you, sir, it's my reason for living. :)

  • Sounds tight....

  • Good ol XB , i miss my falcon :(

  • cool car. sounds faster then in moves though.

  • Iv heard the cars of the stars museum in england where the original mad max car was kept has closed..Wonder what will become of it now.

  • My ride, and all the juice I can carry

  • This is what the cops with be driving in the United States post apocalyptic 2015 world. MAD MAX NWO for LIFE. LOL

  • i like how when he braked hard the passenger seat flew forward

  • @chitown50cal - Don't know, never dragged it.

  • @PatrolmanDark and could you?

  • @Gadmeer - Yes, I could drag it.

  • @PatrolmanDark and will you?

  • @unitednudistmop - Not very likely. Dragging is very hard on many components, if you do it right. This car has too much worth (not just fiscal) for me to treat it as a drag car.

  • @PatrolmanDark and wont you?

  • @unitednudistmop - Not very likely. Dragging is very hard on many components, if you do it right. This car has too much worth (not just fiscal) for me to treat it as a drag car.

  • @PatrolmanDark and if you?

  • @unitednudistmop - Due to the extreme power put down in the quarter mile, I would exceed the speed of light, go back in time, and kill HItler.

  • @PatrolmanDark wow.. that would be epic!

But it would mess up human history, and he dieded eventually, so u better dont do that :S

  • This sound is so lovely!!!!!!!!!

  • I am friends with Emil Minty (The Feral Kid) and Vernon Wells (Wez) from The Road Warrior I was wondering have either of them ever seen your car? Vernon lives in the states and attends lots of shows and events,Emil still lives in Australia. It would be cool to see them with the car and maybe Mel some day.

  • @Lightning1369 - Yessir. Emil drove my car on holy ground, the refinery site, during the filming of Back 2 The Max, the 2001 documentary, and signed the dashboard. This is the car from that doco. Vernon was in it in 2005 and autographed the glovebox door. So they've both driven it and autographed it - they're visible in my other video, the ride-along. Mel, I don't know what's going on with him, but he's welcome to a ride.

  • @PatrolmanDark Very cool and remember Mel is Mel,lol Thanks for responding, great car.

  • very cool.

  • utterly superb!!!

  • I just came all over my computer ! ..nice car dude !

  • is that even a ford xb or whateva it is ???/just wondering how u got an aussie car into america

  • @skidpiggy - Yes, they made them using Ford Falcon XBs. The car was put into a container, then the container onto a container ship. The ship sailed from Australia to the USA, landed at Portland where it was unloaded from the container, went through customs, then put in enclosed car carrier and brought to my city.

  • @PatrolmanDark yehh theres a yellow falcon xb sitting in the neighbours front lawn a couple of houses up its in pretty bad condition but i might offer him 50 bucks or so for it just for the sake of it haha.....of and by the way i live in Australia so..

  • is it for sale?

  • @CarbonCentral - Not formally, but if I were approached with an obscenely large amount of money, I'd listen.

  • so awesome!!!

  • what wa s the size of the tyres pls let me know

  • @FreakNhaki05 - I run 245/60/15 in the front and 295/50/15 in the rear.

  • @PatrolmanDark tnx :D thats lot of help now

  • dam y cant thoses cars be made in the us there awsome

  • sounds amazing..

  • lol at the passenger seat flopping forward when the car comes to a stop. A very cool car though, with the motor to back up the looks.

  • i just weed my pants!

  • Not sure what I liked more the car or the driver??? CLASSIC

  • wow gaszilla

  • Not bad, not bad. What have you got under the hood???

  • @benny334 - Same as the first two, a 351 Cleveland.

  • @YTYT7777777 - Keep in mind it is almost 40 years old, and there's still a ton of modern performance cars out there with a live rear axle. I think a lot of it comes down to cost. Sure, you can have an IRS rear-end, but the cost can be quite steep. :)

  • @PatrolmanDark that's also what i've read; the combination of a V8 and independant rear wheel drive makes for steep prices.

(that's why the current type of mustang also has the solid rear end)

  • Well done Mate.

  • are u planning on going to the future or something ? lol

  • @AronEmil1 - You really can't tell the difference between a large black car with a blower and fuel tanks in the back and a silver stainless steel car with gullwing doors and a nuclear device in the back? Heh... Now THAT's funny!

  • @PatrolmanDark

great Scott! i think the two should have a race on you tube tho.. be mint. who would win?

  • @MGazT - Clearly the Interceptor. The DeLorean uses a 6-cylinder Peugeot engine, producing 130 horsepower. The Interceptor uses a V8, the 351 Cleveland, producing, officially, a gazillion horsepower.

  • @PatrolmanDark

agree... tho i have seen twin turbo DMC deloreans with other stage tuning work. but no idea what kind of power they make. I just thought it would be fun to see these two film icons together :')

  • @MGazT - I totally agree, I'd be thrilled to show the Interceptor with a fully tricked out Delorean!
