Wow I loved this. Im 17 but my favorite music us this classic country. Music just doesn't get any better. Dolly was perfect, Glenn has a good voice but not a big fannof Roy. One of the must talented musicians ever but just can't stand his singing.
I rember watching this 50 years of country music over and over ........it was fantastic and now it's lost...would love to know how to get my hands on a copy!
this is real cool it just goes to show you how grate hank williams was with many artist soing his songs thank you for posting this check out jim reeves and joni james singing danny boy its a fake duet i put together
This piece is really enjoyable to watch, however, Its just amazing how people will make excuses to no end for someone regardless of the evidence when they like him, in this case, Glen Campbell. This was w/o a doubt taped during his darker period and he does appear a bit jacked but handled himself quite well considering and hit those notes very well.
I was just hanging on the edge of my seat to hear dolly's sweet voice - thanks for sharing - there is nobody like Dolly nor will there ever be she is so very unique
Dolly's voice on I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry, I mean WOW! I got serious chills and a big lump in my throat. So heartbreaking! Glen Campbell is higher than a kite in this! Lol!
You obviously don't know very much about Glen Campbell. It is a very well known fact during this period he abused drugs and alcohol. Just read his book or Tanya Tucker's book. The way he is fidgeting and all bouncy, yeah he's high.
Yeah, I know about the problems he developed. I've seen his DUI mug shot, I know he went to jail for a while for drugs/alcohol issues, and I know he performed a concert for his fellow inmates. I know how far he sank. But in this clip, I don't see any evidence of it; I just think he's nervous. I've seen a clip of Grandpa Jones acting nervous & fidgity, & I never thought he was high, either.
If Glen had taken anything prior to this, it didn't affect his performance.

@Rottyman63 no...it's about 4 or 5 years after Glen's great show...I think it was a 50 years of country music special.

How exactly do you get that Glen was high? He nailed the lyrics, he didn't slur, and he didn't fall off the stool. He wasn't high.
