thrash DID evolve, but not into bands like Lamb of God, Trivium etc...it evolved into the last killer albums from old dogs like Overkill, Testament, Exodus, Heathen - still the same ass-kickers from old times.

For *me*, only Warpath and Warbringer have that energy and can be called 'modern thrash', which today is defined by the attitude and sound of the above said bands.

I dont like evile(their image is good since they don't look like they took a picture of destruction and try to dress like them) sound wise same boring sounds. Merciless Death dresses like slayer in 1986 very genric reenactment look and sound . gamma bomb same thing a genreic boring rehashed version of hallows eve. All Tharash was great in its day but things need to evolve and change. This band here Vindicator just like may of the classical play revivals will fade away.

I agree vektor is cool. Unearth isnt the greatest but better than this boring band here.

New thrash that I find decent is Exmortus, Elctrick chair(early stuff), Hexon, and Violator are good. But those were the only new thrash I found doing anything new. True new thrash did already happen with someof the first wave of metalcore bands popping just depening the thrash sound and yes thats whats supposed to happen

Thats whats supposed to happen is scene mutate and evolve thats how it works. I thought the best line about these young kids trying to imitate the 80's thrash scene is being in a civil war reinactment. I rather listen to my old destruction albums than listen to this half ass band we got here known as vindicator.

I love 80's thrash ie (Destruction, Sodom, Kreator, Celtic Frost, Hallows Eve, Whiplash ect). Im listening to this video because this gay band here is disgracing the genre of thrash. This is a band that would have been ok if this was a demo from the orginal 1981 run in california. As far as Deathcore goes yea alot of it is crap since its nothing more thanTech death with longated breakdowns. As far as HXc goes nothing bad to say since they evolved the orginal crossover music

@metallicadrum (IE Bad Brains, DRI, Suicidal Tendencies) new HXc is much heavier than the orginal hxc and has power and aggresion. Which did evolve into metalcore in my mind some of those ie metal core bands do play thrash modernized ie Unearth, Shadows Fall, Darkest Hour better than the 1980's thrash reinactment bands vindicator, bonded by blood, havok. Thrash evolved and has moved ojn and thats what music is supposed to do. classic thrash as already perfected.

@blasphemy88 I've seen Unearth open for Testament and I've got to say, they're really bad. BBB is a lot better than Unearth in my opinion. You can have your own say, but there are some original thrash bands coming out nowadays. I do agree that some bands do sound entirely similiar to Exodus, Slayer, etc (like Vindicator) but the few that stand out are great. Check out Vektor for example.

There was a gap in the mid 90's to mid 200s where there was mostly euro thrash which was melodic Death metal in a thrash format like Arch Enemy, Callenish Circle, ect. Thrash had revived it self in a new form many call it metalcore ie Shadows fall, Trivium, Darkest Hour, and Lamb of god. I know from the new Thrash elite Ill get heat over that statement.
