she seems to have a very strong will. she wasn't letting it affect her and was more interested in her book then what was happening. i am sure your daughter will handle her future very well. she will be a fighter
i see it has been quite awhile since this video has been comented on so i do hope you get this.
this episode that your daughter is having is almowt to a T what my daughter does except my daughter twiches more severley her daughters have come to the diagonosis of epilepsy i do not think that it is the right diagnosis for her the epileptic medicine that they put her on has removed some of the twiches but not the "spacing out" jsut wondering your take. i am hoping to download a video on here too
She is beautiful. Our 5 (almost 6) year old daughter has had the parietal, occipital, and temporal lobes (right side) removed. She continues to have these type of seizures. I am super impressed by the calm way you handle the seizures and how aware your daughter seems. I have only seen a few videos but am so happy to see her standing and playing and it even looks like she is walking. Amazing. Our kiddos are amazing are they not?
Your daughter is beautiful! Did her seizures look like this before her surgery? My daughter has seizures that look just like what she is doing...the blinking the eye..etc. My daughter has seizures from tuberous sclerosis.
@amysarahh Yes, her seizures have looked like this all along. Since her redo surgery in Sept. she appears to be seizure free. She had her surgery completed by Dr. Weiner at NYU who specializes in tuberous sclerosis. Gabby had his three-stage surgery completed 2 years ago. Is your daughter a candidate for surgery? Medical Maze is a great blog to follow about a boy with TS named Evan Moss who had the 3 stage surgery also.
Your daughter is beautiful. It breaks my heart to see her have these awful seizures. My daughter too has the same kind of seizures due to a hemispherectmy. Since it seems like your daughter is verbal.... can she tell you at all how she feel right before during and right after a seizure. My daughter is totally non verbal. I would love to talk with you some day and maybe we can help each other out. Do you belong to Hemispherectomy Foundation or Epilepsy Foundation... do you have Facebook? Victoria
@torizmomma My daughter has run to me right before the seizure begins but has never verbalized how it feels. I was in the process of trying to get her to identify things like this when she had a redo surgery in September. Since her redo we have seen a couple of shivering episodes upon awakening but nothing that we can definitively say is a seizure. She has been doing really well. It seems a small piece of tissue that was left behind must have harbored a missed connection.
You have a truly beautiful little girl. A living angel. I hope her health is improving more and more. Best wishes for all the family

Is a hemispherectomy when they remove a half of the brain? I am pretty sure that is what it is but thought I would ask.
