Roanoke County has declared a local state of emerjuncy. As part of it, Roanoke County Fire an' Rexcue opened a shelter at th' Fo't Lewis Fire & Rexcue stashun t'give stran'ed drivahs on I-81 a place t'git warm an' sleep on overnight. Th' department says three of its crews is he'pin' State Po-lice on I-81, wawkin' t'dig out drivahs in th' southboun' lanes on I-81, near th' Dixie Cavahns exit.
