judo and BJJ is the same.But Judo less favored ground work.they like to slam(throw) more.BJJ favor takedown more.Takedown inflict no damage but take opponent to Jiujitsu world.Judo follows the samurai because at war the throw is the key to win.submission will follow.BJJ is because 90% fight goes to ground.For me they are more or less same potent and deadly
